Zakuul: The Spire. Eternal Throne Room
While the throne was currently vacant, due to Xander searching out the Eternal Fleet, Warden Savage, the Emperor's A.I, was left to ensure everything ran smoothly. Skytrooper production was operating at capacity. The reports from Bakura had been processed and filed appropriately, and the gears of the Empire continue to turn as they should.

Zakuul: The Spire - Eternal Throne Room.
Despite the absence of the Emperor and the High Justice, Warden Savage, the Emperor's A.I, was dutifully fulfilling its appointed tasks. With rumors surrounding the possible disappearance of Valance, the appointed second in command to him, Lash Malafica, was summoned to the Throne Room. As she appeared, the image of Warden sprang to life.
"Ms. Malafica, the Emperor has a task for you. The forest moon of Endor lies within the orbit of our expanding Empire, and thus is ripe for the taking. Current records indicate no official factions hold claim to it. All three Gladiator-Class Star Destroyers have been approved for your use. Your task is to capture the moon and establish a presence there. Report back once you have succeeded and I will have further instructions."
Despite not liking the fact that she was taking orders from an A.I, the Exarch bowed her head respectfully and spoke.
"If it is the Emperor's will, than it shall be done. I will report back to you once I have completed my appointed task"
Turning on her heel, the Exarch placed her helmet upon her head, as the A.I's avatar dissipated from view.

Zakuul: The Spire- Eternal Throne Room.
Marcus Dellrex stood in the throne room with the other Horizon Guards while awaiting the return of their Eternal Emperor. It had been some time since the Emperor had been on Zakuul, which had a few Knights talking about the whereabouts of the Emperor. Marcus had made sure that these knights understood that the Emperor's absence was only Temporary as he was working on bringing glory back to Zakuul and the Eternal Empire itself. Which seemed to have washed away their concerns for the time being, he made sure to note every knight that had concerns so that he could wash away said concerns. While the Emperor was away, Marcus made sure to keep the peace and ensure that all knew that the Emperor was working towards bettering Zakuul and the Empire.

With little apparent official presence above Zakuul, the stealth squadron of Cabur-class craft slowly made their way closer in towards the planet. Flying in wingpairs, they began to take in a survey of the inhabited world, noting infrastructure and other useful locations, to be transmitted back to Clan HQ when clear. With time, much of the world could be overflown, with the craft scanning passively to avoid easy detection by any wouldbe enemies.
They would move quietly and slowly, and watch. It took longer that way, but the results were far surer, and more precise. This was an important mission.

Omegon sat in his command throne, not far from the Eternal Throne, which sat unused in the main command chamber. He had had a backup installed nearby, concealed, from where he could work without feeling as exposed as he did upon the ancient control throne which had once commanded the Eternal Empire of Zakuul. Omegon wasn't interested in that sort of conquest, that of the mundane.
Overseeing the world of Zakuul without the citizens ever knowing an inorganic watched over them was amusing to Omegon, and so it worked, and watched, in silent contemplation of the lives it had begun to be able to sense through the Force for the first time in its existence.

Streaking across the sky, the 'Sacrificial Blade' and its escort of two coral skippers streaked towards the Endless Swamp, flying over bogs and marshy wetlands along the way. From his perch in the transport size yorik-vec, all he could see was an endless sea of muck and murky water. At least the swamp lived up to its name, he thought. The living vessel descended low, just over the vegetative canopy that obscured the bog. He nodded to his subordinates and gestured with a roll of his hand that it was time to begin. The gunners at their station began to open with the yaret-kor, firing streaming balls of molten rock from the two twin cannons along the front of transport, targeting a thicket in the swamp below.
Despite the overall damp nature of the swamp, the super heated rock boiled water and set flame even to trees half submerged. Swamp foliage ignited and smoke intertwined with steam as a clearing was cut into the swamp. The two yorik-et escorted the transport opened up with their own lava cannons, though they were considerably less powerful than the Sacrificial Blade's. Combined the cannons transformed the area into a burning dried out patch of glassed dirt. The two fighter craft broke off and streaked across the top of the swamp while the yorik-vec descended into the clearing, riding on dovin basal propulsion as spindly segmented limbs extended from its underside and planted themselves in the dirt.
Alaitoc turned away from the display and made his way towards the rear of the ship. The five warrior caste began to disconnect themselves from their cognition hoods and joined the intendant in the rear. The Executor found his personal gene-coded cache and placed a hand on the organic locker. Small needle shaped spines pierced the flesh of his palm and took a sample of of his blood, confirming his identity. A wet squelch followed as the storage unit opened to reveal his personal set of arms. Already garbed in a cloaker bodysuit, the intendant began to slide on segments of vonduun skerr kyrric. Greaves, fore-arm bracers, shoulder pauldrons, and even a chestplate with a codpiece. He strapped on a bandolier of nang-hul, fixed a plasma eel around his waist, and then grabbed his main armament. A coufee slid into a sheath on his hip, while a three meter long amphistaff was removed from the locker in long coils. He stroked the biots reflex and coaxed it into its rigid form, holding it in front and to the side like a long walking stick.
At the rear of the ship, the external hatch sphincter opened and a molleung worm extended to the clearing floor. Alaitoc Yin was followed off the transport by his five warrior caste, each garbed in crimson crab plate and holding an amphistaff of their own.
The hunt was soon to begin.

The swamp was a symphony of unique chirps and croaks as the team of six Yuuzhan Vong ventured deep into the heart of the area known as the Endless Swamp. Alaitoc led the way, wading through vine choked waters full of wriggling aquatic amphibians and cold blooded reptiles. Strange centipedes and arachnids moved along moss covered trees, while swarms of blood sucking parasite flies blanketed the area. The Intendant's mqaaq'it glowed a vibrant green while his dark purple eye sacs pulsed beneath. It was all delightfully irritable. He placed the end of his amphistaff in the ground in front of him and used it to find solid surfaces to tread upon. The marsh already tried to suck them into its muddy depths once or twice. Behind him, his warriors in red plate followed in a line, relying on the path the Executor plotted for them.Alaitoc paused long enough to retrieve his personal qahsa from a robeskin satchel on his right hip. Holding the organic tablet computer, he ran a finger along the touch screen and brought up a picture of the creature they were seeking. He wasn't entirely sure how they were going to capture the thing once they found it, but he supposed the challenge was half the fun. He imagined one of the creatures could hold its own against a tank beast even. Perhaps one day he would even get to see that match take place. He turned and passed the qahsa to the warrior behind him so that he could take a look. The warrior did so and then passed it on until everyone on the team had a chance to refresh their memory. When the tablet came back to the intendant he returned it to his pouch and continued forwards. In the distance, bubbles rose to the surface of the water from the murky depths below. Something was watching the team, tracking them on their journey in to the heart of the swamp. More bubbles rose from at least a dozen spots. It was not alone. There orders were relatively simple. Domain Yim had called in a favour from the Praetorite and sought specimens from the swamp planet for study and potential incorporation into the Praetorite's host of war-beasts. In the intendant's opinion they had enough of those already, but it was hard to argue when he saw pictures of the creature they currently sought. It definitely had potential as a weapon.Snap! A noise drew his attention. He peered across the misty terrain looking for whatever was responsible for the sound. All around the team of six, bubbles began to rise to the surface and pop, growing in intensity. Alaitoc pulled his amphistaff from the muck and held it across his body, looking all around as the water around them practically boiled with activity. Then suddenly, something powerful and clawed grabbed his ankle and pulled.

Alaitoc didn't even flinch. What the primitive predatory aliens had not seemed to grasp is that the Yuuzhan Vong hadn't so much as walked into an ambush, as they had set the trap to begin with. They were the bate. That creatures other than there intended target had sprung said trap, well, that was just an appetiser to savour leading up to the main course. The spear like tail end of his amphistaff plunged into the water, impaling the lurker that had grasped his leg. Bubbles erupted along with a shower of swamp water as the creatures pack began to rise out of the depths and sick themselves on the team. Within seconds the swamp had exploded into chaos. The intendant laughed as he twirled his weapon in his hands, lashing out left and right as the lurkers lunged for him with jaws wide open and clawed hands extended. They met a near-impenetrable wall of offense, finding those same claws cleaved from their joints and those open mouths the recipients of crab armoured fists, reaching into the aliens guts and ripping their slimy tongues right out. Similarly the five warriors he had brought with him were enjoying themselves, smashing and slashing the lurkers with ease. The murky waters ran red around their waist.Rrrrrooooooaaaarrrrr!!!!! Somewhere in the distance Alaitoc could hear the roar of a very large and very hungry predator, potentially the very same they sought. The freshly shed lurker blood and sounds of battle seemed to be serving to draw the beast. He could hear heavy footsteps splashing in the swamp along with the creak of cracking trees, all of which was getting louder."Keep it up!" He snarled, before shoulder checking a charging lurker over his backside. "The quarry draws near!"

Killing the smaller swamp lurkers was an enjoyable warmup, but Alatioc hungered for more of a challenge. The snag of swamp wood and the increased splashing in the distance was a sure sign their larger prey was drawing nearer. He could almost make out a sign of it between shaking trees, as all manner of swamp life did its best to clear out of the area. He put the spear like tail end of his amphistaff through the last lurker's thick skull and shook the bleeding corpse free, the water around his thighs grew red and warm. He could smell copper permeating the murky fluids and grinned savagely, or at least performed the Yuuzhan Vong equivalent of doing so."Here it comes." He barked. "Prepare yourselves."As if the warrior caste needed to be told to do so. They were already busy cleaning bits of gore from their crab plate. They formed up behind the Intendant until he became the point of their spear. Good. He had no intention of watching the fight from the rear. Better to be in the thick of it, where one could demonstrate their martial prowess before the ever-watchful gaze of Yun-Yammka. Today they would honour the Slayer god. When the savage beast first entered the clearing, Alaitoc's heart skipped a beat, and he was forced to look up in awe at the towering figure of a swamp rancor. Twin giant horns as long as lances jutted from its scaly head, while curved claws the size of swords tipped each one of its massive fingers. He took a step back, not out of fear though that certainly would be justified given the sight before him, but rather because it was the only way he could witness the beast in its entirety.By the Yun-o in all the stars above, this was no mere creature. This was a monster of the flesh. He doubted even a tank beast could square off with such a thing.Swallowing down his uncertainty, he raised his amphistaff over his head and roared a raging battle cry."Do-ro'ik vong pratte!" The others of his company took up the same cry of the warrior caste and the battle was joined.

Alaitoc raced forwards towards the swamp rancor, as reckless as that might be. The massive monster swept one giant clawed hand towards the Intendant, who at the last moment ducked into the waist deep waters and narrowly avoided an early demise. It was hard, almost impossible to pick up any speed while hampered by the muck that threatened to suck them into the mire beneath their feet. Several of the warrior caste behind him began to hurl razor edged nang-hul, known to the infidels as razor-bugs, at the rancor. They were about as useful as using a broom to sweep up sand on Tatooine. The flying bugs zipped along the monster's rough leathery flesh and bounced away harmlessly, not able to penetrate its armour like skin. The Intendant cursed inwardly.
They would need to find some weakness, anything they could exploit.
Now with reach of the swamp rancor's legs, Alaitoc darted between the lower limbs and slashed at either of them with his amphistaff, putting his full strength into both blows. Unfortunately the effect was much the same as the nang-hul, utterly useless. The monster's flesh was far too thick. He threw himself into a roll behind it, reaching for the plasma eel he wore as a belt around his waist.
In the meantime the creature was far more occupied with the rest of the Intendant's company. It managed to catch one of the warrior's in its grip, a subaltern by the name of Rendrick Carr, crushing the crab plate he wore with a squeeze of one massive hand. Dark purple ichor oozed from between its fingers, intermingling with the Yuuzhan Vong warrior's black blood. The member of Domain Carr was dead before the swamp rancor brought his corpse to its mouth and bit him in half, dropping the remains of his lower body back into the swamp. With a sickening crunch of its giant teeth, it turned poor Rendrick into a warm snack.

"Noooo!" A desperate pleading cry ran the Yuuzhan Vong intendant's throat raw as he saw poor Rendrick get bit in half, his lower body falling in ragged scraps of meat into the mire of the swamp. Hot fury welled in his breast, causing his heart to beat hard and pump sizzling black blood through his narrow veins. He cranked back his arm, snapping the plasma eel to rigidity. The eels head began to glow blue as it charged plasma, steaming in the cold of the filth ridden swamp. In one powerful throw, he hurled the living torpedo at the swamp rancor's back, causing the biot to streak towards the creature like a guided missile. It struck the monster's thick back and exploded violently, exuding a great bloom of smoke and flame, pitching the beast forwards. The four remaining warrior caste in front of it took the momentary advantage and hurled themselves at rancor's bent over body, leaping onto its arms and head, stabbing and hacking with coufee and amphistaff alike. As for Alaitoc, he began to run forwards, leaping out of the water towards a tree to the rear left of the monster's back. His left foot connected with the slimy bark and planted itself, pushing off and throwing his body up into the air as he raised his amphistaff above his head and planted the fanged tip into the rancor's back as he landed, sinking it past its thick hide and into the burning meat where his plasma eel had struck. For Domain Yin. For Yun-Yammka. For Rendrick Carr!
