I'm new and would like some guidance, any ideas where is the best place to kick off and still not sure whether to go Force or Non-Force. All I've got is a species and a look, hope no one minds the armour and weapon, I've tried to keep it somewhat reasonable.
Advice greatly received

Where the best place to kick off? That is actually a good question, though one would say it would entirely depend on what you are looking for in terms of RP, whether it's quick engagements, wanting to write with others right off the bat?
But really the questions that most will be asking you here, is if you have a plan so to speak and if you somewhat have that background story for your character in mind? What do you see your character doing? Also are you into developing your character, which means character development RP oriented, or action oriented? Also is your character light, dark, neutral oriented?
As for the armor and weapon, those are reasonable yes, not overpowered.
Perhaps you can start by filling out some of those questions and get a more precise idea on what you want to do with your character, then it might be easier to redirect you to people.

Atlantis, I had given a back story some thought but wanted to get it flexible while I had a look around.
My idea was that Ta'hariel was born and brought up in Hapes with a customary disapproval of males but with an added bonus of being highly Xenophobic/speciest. She tollerates other baseline human species, but Hapans are perfection. Anything else and she has a great dislike for them.
I've considered that she left Hapes as a hunter, wanting to purify the galaxy, but that's where I've finished. I'm still deciding whether she was raised by a dark force user and is a darksider herself or if she is non force.

Thanks for the advice Rebecca, I think I might start off on my own for a few posts and get a grip of my character first. Once she's settled in I'll look to see if I can find a group to join. The First Order sounds fun, but I don't mind a bit of rivalry from a lighter group/person either. Think I'm going darkside as its Star Wars and I want to throw things with my mind at people XD Also there is always the chance of redemption in the future. To anyone reading: If I end up on a planet that's controlled I'm sorry, I'm not going to interfere or try and take it over, I'll take my rp elsewhere if you ask me to or join in if you want to play  I'm friendly OOC so please let me know if I'm bothering you. If you engage me and don't like the way I'm taking the rp just say and I'll work with you. |

Welcome to the site! I recommend getting involved in the chat aspect of the site. the "Comm Chat" button on the top of the page. There are good writers there that are always willing to help flush stuff out, bounce ideas off of and such. I think every play i have done has started there. I have a few characters out and about that aren't doing anything as well if you want to start small.
