It hadn't taken long after the departure from the desert terrain for the corvette to clear the distance between the remote home of the ancient master and the facility that was the Vandelhelm Sanctuary. As the ship touched down with a hiss on it's landing gear and the boarding and loading hatches opened, Kedea was almost thankful to finally be entering a once again hospitable location. And, though she would never outwardly say it to the others, that they had brought enough of a crew and survivors who were non-Force themselves that the facility itself could be manned sufficiently until more Jedi arrived. Perhaps it had not been the most optimal arrival, but as Plek, Sokra, Hirani and Rav disembarked a small sigh of relief escaped the Zabrak's lips. All that was left was for the padawans and younglings to join them, something that she did not expect would take long if they were left in the charge of Amlu and Leo.
Turning to Plek, the Ithorian, an expression of concern and curiosity painted across her face. "What is it? What do you sense?" She breathed as she stepped towards him and placed a gentle hand against his shoulder. ((It is this planet, Master Vroxi, it is strong yet... unfamiliar. Strange. I will need to meditate on this.)) The Ithorian answered in his natural fashion and gave her what she could take as a nod and bow before he dismissed himself towards another part of the hangar to follow those she the captain had sent to explore the interior. She watched as Hirani followed suit, the only thought coming to Kedea's mind that the Twi'lek rarely left the Ithorian's side. "Plek is right, this place is strange for such a remote world. Perhaps this lost master can help us better understand it." This time it was Rav that spoke, the mask she wore to protect her from the chemicals toxic to her alerting Kedea to her identity immediately.
"Perhaps, we cannot afford to keep traveling like this." Kedea sighed as she turned and watched Sokra silently depart the corvette and give her an understanding nod. "Than let us hope that this is the last time, Master Vroxi." The Kel Dor was right, just as she had been. There was no more home to return to and, though she knew it was painful, the students stability was their top priority.

Leomax was tasked with gathering the younglings and other padawans to disembark into their new home. With his awareness being in a sphere almost, rather than a cone of sight, it was pretty easy to track everyone down. Nessin Dreemut, the female Falleen padawan, was taking a nap in her room to pass the time as they traveled. She seemed happy to that Leo was there and that their trip was over. Along with the other padawan besides Leomax, there was Shafa, the male Mirialan padawan who was eager to prove himself. The younglings were also ushered out of the ship, a Male Rodian and a male Cerean. They trotted along and followed Leo like good little troopers.
The hanger was a normal size, as much as Leo could tell through the force. All the Knights and his Master were already out, talking among themselves. He was told not to eavesdrop, as it was very easy for him to do, but he did sometimes anyway. When he caught Rav speaking about how strange this planet was. Leo had to agree, but past that it felt odd... He chalked it up to him not being experienced enough, and it would be better to leave it to his peers.
He walked with everyone inside, letting the adults talk among themselves, beginning his search for the quarters and get everyone assigned.

Amlu was snoring, or at least snoring for a Nautolan. She was ungracefully thrown under a blanket in her bunk, dead to the world, ignoring the movements of those around her and ignored by even her closest friends, not that she minded, she could sleep through anything. She had eaten right before Kadea had left to find the master wishing her luck and then retreated to her bunk after giving some basic instructions to the younglings, and promptly passed out, soon her absence would be noted he was sure. But until then she slept on soundly in the quiet ship alone...

Dante had spent most of the rather short trip raiding the food stores. Finding a stash of ration bars, he had torn into them with such a lust and gusto that it would perhaps surprise any onlooker. Dante cared not. His exile over, the peace and tranquility that came in the wake of such a release was not only immense, but liberating to the extreme. A great weight had been lifted, and the Jedi Master, finally felt as if he were moving forward - with all the weight of the Force behind him, urging him on. Once he had eaten, he had stored a few of the bars into his tattered robes, and, rising, had exited the room offered to him to join the rest. Accompanying him was his protocol droid, 3-ZO, his silver plating somewhat rusting in places, but ultimately none the worse for the wear.
Exiting the craft, heading to the hangar and landing pads proper, he took a moment to take in all the bustle and activity. So many Jedi, not only knights, but padawans and younglings. How...how very rewarding, to see this place finally in use, towards its initial purpose no less. With a chuckle, his walking stick clicking away at the ground below, he made his way to the front of the throng. "3-ZO. Access primary directory, please." The droid did so, before nodding to him. "Very good. Fellow Knights, know that this facility had been abandoned for some time...while I doubt it is inhabited, there is the distinct possibility that animals may have taken to nesting within. Please shepherd the younglings and padawans accordingly." With a nod to 3-ZO, the great doors slowly ground open, admitting the throng.
Dante, though, hung back, watching the ingress, a small smile across his face.

While the condition of the world, and it's place in the Force, remained a strong concern in her mind she could not linger her thoughts on it long. It was true that the nature of the world was enough to raise questions, but that notion took a backseat in the greater perspective. They had traveled far in search of a new home and a new hope for their place in the greater Order. Though the planet was uncertain, they were left with little option but to explore the planet and the confines of the sanctuary. The sooner they made the sanctuary their home the sooner they could reconnect with those beyond their walls in different positions across the galaxy.
Yet, first, she would need to tend to the absence of the last knight in their coalition. Giving a knowing nod to Rav, and watching the Kel Dor walk off to join the padawans, younglings and her fellow knights through the opening grand doors, Kedea made her way back onto the ship and towards where she knew Amlu had likely been left behind. Only to find her sleeping in such a manner that suggested she was more deprived than she let on. The thought crossed her mind to wake her gently, but as she stepped into the room and noted how loudly she was snoring the only thought that crossed the Zabrak's mind was to slam her fist, cushioned just slightly by the Force, against the wall of the cabin. Loud enough to wake the sleeping Nautolan but not damaging enough that she would need to tend to her hand later. The last thing she needed was to sacrifice capability for waking a friend.
"We're heading inside. You're coming with me to find out if anyone is alive in here, I'm sensing a presence in what I assume could be a council chamber." She breathed in an abrupt and direct fashion. It was a distant and soft presence, but it still emanated power and understanding that she could only assume was that of a fellow Master. While she knew that Deveaux had only begun constructing the temple when he went into his meditation exile, she could not help but chance that someone had come to find a home in the abandoned temple. At the very least the idea was intriguing, enough so that she turned and exited the cabin and ship leaving little time for Amlu to hesitate on an answer.

Amlu muttered something along the lines about fishing tomorrow, then promptly rolled out of bed catching Kadea's last words about someone being near the council chambers, picking her self up rather ungracefully she slipped into her leather boots and grabbed her cloak throwing it around her shoulders. "Kaddy wait!" She said, in her slightly sleepy voice reverting to her childhood nickname of her closest friend. "Someone's in a council chamber how? Are they a Jedi? Sith? Something else?" She said in a flurry of words as she exited the ship on Kadea's heels, sliding to a halt as she saw the man they had been searching for. "Oh...hi there! we found you!" She said good naturedly. "Amlu Eerkerk Jedi knight." She said with a bow. "Kadea says there's someone alive in this place..wait where are we?" She asked looking around the hanger, she was finally fully awake...

Dante's eyes had been closed, his mind falling inward onto himself in a search for his center. In the midst of so many people, he hadn't counted on being thrown off balance so easily; but, perhaps that had been naive of him. He had, after all, been sequestered by himself for so long - the flurry of emotions that came from normal day life, while common place to most Jedi, seemed to him like a high wind in the desert, throwing up sand, and clouding his own emotions. He had very nearly found his peace, when it was dashed to bits by an exuberant and energetic voice.
A small chuckle and a small shake of his head was his only outward sign of his frustration as he opened his eyes. "I have so much to learn." He said, addressing the Knight before him. "And indeed you have found me. Though I believe it was Kadea who found me first. As for where we are...er, are you sure you're a knight? I assumed everyone on Vandelhelm more or less knew why they were here." Dante shook his head hopelessly, before giving another small laugh. "Ah. So many surprises. It is good to be among others again. As for the one inside...we shall see. Shall we not?"
Inwardly, Dante continued to find his center, or rather, his new center; his center as he knew it, at least in the Desert, would have to change in this new environment. He felt...happy, though. Purpose, while invigorating, was still something of a foreign concept to him. For so long his purpose had been to atone for past actions. Now that his atonement was over...finding himself moving forward was a happy affair, though unbalancing. Perhaps he had stayed still, fallen inward on himself, for far too long - what, if such simple interaction with others threw him off center so easily. Yes, maybe his new purpose, at least for the short term, would be learning how to work with these beings, while maintaining his peace.

Amlu smiled at the Jedi they had come so far to find as she looked around the hanger, a small O of surprise on her lips, her unblinking gaze taking it all in. "C'mon Kad's." She said finally pinging in on the life force her self and setting off in that direction in a sudden burst of quickness. She was excited like she hadn't been since she was a girl on Glee Ansom, or even Dantooine.
Things were finally going well for a change. And she was excited about it. And if it really was Gene up there, how great that would be! Her very own master returned to her at last. She paused at the entrance to a hall and looked back at the other two. "WELL!? You guys coming or am I being followed by a couple of rockhopping turtles?!" He she shouted and darted into the hall. Despite being a knight Amy could at times be as careless and excitable as a youngling.

There was an immediate sigh that parted Kedea's lips as her youthful friend addressed her in excitement before addressing the elder master in their presence. She angled her face to peer at the younger knight and gave her an distant but mindful stare that the most tuned of Jedi could see through as a reprimand disguised as a glare. She then closed her eyes and drew into herself for the calm and collection necessary to push out of the room and begin her exploration of the Sanctuary they had found themselves in. Only for another sigh to be elicited as Amy chided her for not keeping up in a timely fashion. Lifting her hand she waved over what few knights had remained in the room and made her way towards the door through which Amlu had disappeared.
"There are times, Amy, when I worry if you're keeping your mind in the right place." She mused to herself as she passed through the large doors and entered into what she could have only assumed was the entry hall of the massive structure. In time she would get used to the lack of floor space and excess of vertical dimension, but it was not now. Amy however, had the correct idea, the would be council chambers would be her first priority. Whoever was up there was undoubtedly one worth discovering. Even if their presence was mildly unsettling.

>After the journey from Yavin, long after fleeing the horrible onslaught of the First Order and fighting in the Mandalorian Wars for 5 years, Emund and his caravan of Jedi refugees (Kadea and Amlu) made it safely through the Vandelhelm Cloud...
> Emund stands leaning against some cargo crates near his YT-2400 Dauntless Light Freighter. Unintentionally scowling, he looks around a little confused, wondering who is going to pay him.
BA-4 inquisitively looks around the loading pads looking for anything interesting that will likely lead him straight into mischief.
>Emund cracks a small smirk and begins to walk around trying to figure out who's in charge of paying him around here.

It had been a long flight, and Jashin hadn't particularly enjoyed being cooped up with a carrier full of Jedi. Gene was annoying enough, but a whole fracking ship full of them? Yeah, no thanks. Shaking his head, exiting the craft, Jashin dusted himself off, looking for the captain who had led them through the cloud. Once Jashin delivered his message, he was going to need a way off this rock.
He spied them then. A freighter captain, standing next to a YT-2400. Approaching the man, Jashin waved, calling out to him.
"Oi! You're the freighter cap, right? Look, all due respect to the robe wearing monks, but I need a lift off this rock once I'm done here. Transport to...say...I dunno, Chandrilla? I'll pay you five thousand."
As he spoke, he continued to dust himself off. Sand. God he hated sand. It got everywhere. The sooner he got off this karking dust rock the better. But, then...he'd have a nice and unpleasant conversation with his father first. And wouldn't that just be grand?

The first wave of troop carriers descended upon the Jedi Sanctuary, whose defensive turrets had come online the moment the Sith entered orbit. Squadrons of Preybirds, Furys and Cutlass-9s streaked overhead, slamming the defensive capabilities of the Temple with lasers and bombs. The first carriers landed at the extensive hangar and landing pads, unleashing a horde of Sith Warriors and their accompanying Sith troopers onto the Sanctuary's security forces and Jedi commanders. The scene was like a page out of the history books; Sith Warriors and Jedi Knights clashing on the open field of battle.
Malvus arrived in the second wave of troop carriers, stepping down upon the platform. His eyes scanned around, noticing his soldiers pushing deep into the Sanctuary. He quietly keys his comm to the other approaching Sith forces under his command.
Order the remainder to the main city! Do not let any Jedi escape!
The purge was merely one phase of this invasion. In truth, it was to become the first major occupation by the Sith, within this quadrant, since the founding of the SesTrade Hegemony. The remaining waves of troop carriers veered away for Rimma City. Malvus pulled out his lightsabers, bringing them to life with a click before rushing forth with the second wave in tow. The Jedi Purge of Vandelhelm had fully begun...

Luxeria took a glance around as she stepped off the transport. No time had been wasted in pushing into the Jedi's home. A small smirk came to her face as she thought on the lives that would end this day, the Jedi that would fall before her and regret denying her. While the Sith had a general hatred for the Jedi and wished them exterminated, yet her hatred was much more personal, something that she felt made her more potent when facing a Jedi. But it didn't matter as all the Sith who had come for the battle would take down a Jedi for themselves.
Removing her lightsaber, it surged to life, the hum it gave almost sounded like a sword being unsheathed. She waited a moment, letting her master get a few steps ahead before she ran after him, moving a bit out to the side. The last thing she wanted was to end up getting in his way and face her death as such.

*A single troop transport was all Sobrius needed to bring with him for this purge. With the knowledge that many other Sith would be partaking in this invasion, he opted for a smaller sampling of his best warriors rather than a large brigade of troopers. This turned out to be appropriate, for Malvus had brought more than enough men to sweep into the Jedi Sanctuary, Sith and soldier alike.
"Sanctuary"... a term that, as of this day, had become ironic.
The transport touched down upon the landing pads, ramp lowering. Sobrius strode forth first, red blade coming to life. Subortus followed, his own black weapon alight. Behind him, ten Sith warriors and fifty elite Shadow Troopers descended, all with their weapons primed as they marched from the shuttle and into the Sanctuary, looking forward to the slaughter. The landings had been mostly cleared thanks to the forward forces, so they took their own path into the building.
Soon they were met by the facility's meager defenses, easily disabled with gunfire or, more practically, the Force itself. When their guns failed, a few Jedi attempted to hold a line, but were cut down by the more powerful horde that bore down upon them. Their darkness grew as death filled the air, empowering them as they marched over the smoking corpses, deeper into the Sanctuary...*

**Heritor's meditation sphere glided into the hangar and set down near the other Sith transports. The Dark Lord himself emerged, armored. As the battle began to rage between the defenders and the invading Sith, his eyes took in the sights even as the smell of the battle reached his nostrils. The Force was alive with the chaos of combat.
Blasterbolts shot his way, most flew harmlessly past, but eventually the volume increased, and he ignited both his hook handled crimson blades, batting bolts almost contemptously back whence they had come as he strode forward. The Dark Side roiled and writhed, demanding to be let loose, Not yet. thought the Sorceror.
Darth Heritor followed the wave of Sith into the Sanctuary, seeking out the most stalwart, the most determined opponents.**

Vandelhelm - Vandelhelm Sanctuary
The modified Star Courier, known to many as a 'Sith' Infiltrator, touched down at the landing pads of the supposed Jedi Sanctuary. Colonel Locklear, leader of Zhaboka Company and the hand-picked Commander of Lord Savage's Honor Guard, strode down the ramp and into one of the many open air hangar bays. The sounds of fighting could be heard in the distance, however, it seemed the intensity had shifted away from the hangars. As the hand picked team of Shadowtroopers followed their Colonel down the ramp, Lord Savage himself strode down. Black cloak billowing out as he moved. A scowl on his face, though that seemed to be the usual as of late. Approaching the Colonel, Savage spoke.
"With our recent string of victories, let's ensure this is no different. Head to the dormitories, training chambers and central council chambers. Spare only the younglings and those who will swear fealty to me. Kill the rest. Rix and Alenko, you are with me. We are heading for their central mainframe. Anything of use is to be downloaded..."
Pausing for a moment, Savage glanced up while raising his hand to his ear.
"Rampant, are you online?"
Seconds later, the A.I's voice rang in his ear.
Affirmative. Syncing with the members of Zhaboka now. Complete. I am now linked with the members of Zhaboka.
A sly grin cracked the scowling face of the Zabrak.
"Rampant is linked. He will feed you information on the various targets as he gathers intel. Colonel, if anyone, even our allies get in your way...kill them. I do not have the patience to deal with 'Sith' politics right now. I am here for one purpose and one purpose only. Rampant, ensure Grand Admiral Bennette is ready to jump in and deploy more support teams, should the need arise."
The helmeted head of Locklear nodded.
Understood, my lord.
Moments later, Rampant's voice chimed in.
Grand Admiral Bennette is prepared to jump in should you need her. Shall we?
Savage nodded, then motioned for two Shadowtroopers, Oren Rix and Jorthon Alenko, to follow him. As the group split up, Rampant chimed in.
Head through the main doors and take your first left. A small squad of Sanctuary security is making their way towards the hangars...
Grinning malevolently, Savage flung off his cloak and gripped the hilt of his double saber. Things were going to get interesting very soon...
