The following was RPed in Naboo orbit in a one day RP event:
Hi! I'm jashin Rau, a crewmember with the Wayward Son, and this profile is brand new - though my old one was not. I briefly left the site and then returned (long story), and am looking to put together a SL using the above material! Basically my farewell post was Jashin jumping into hyperspace above Naboo with the Imperial memory crystal. Now that I'm back, I've landed on Serenno, my homeworld, and am operating a cantina / bar out of a starship that has been impounded. Having no way of knowing how to contact the Resistance, I use what criminal connections I have to put out feelers that I'm looking to contact the Rebellion with a piece of vital information.
Basically, I need a Rebellion RPer to come and meet with me and take the crystal - possibly even try and kill me to tie up loose ends. Alternatively (or additionally!) Imperial/FO may get wind by intercepting my contacts, and may try to beat the Rebellion to me. All parties can negotiate with me, threaten me, etcetera. The only rules are as follows:
1. It needs to be short! This is supposed to be a mini/protracted SL, to pass away the time while the Wayward Son crew is on Naboo.
2. There should be a limited amount of people if response is big! Ideally just one or two max on either side (excluding any Wayward Son RPers who want to participate)
3. And lastly, people should be able to post routinely! I'm a FAST poster. I write multiple posts in a day (and I know others often can't keep up, but you should be able to post at LEAST once every two days, barring RL interference).
That's it! Finger's crossed for a fun spontaneous SL! If you'd like an idea of what it's like to RP with me, here's a sample, and a good intro to the RP!
A lone pirate stalks his prey (well, a wannabe pirate who, through sheer bad luck, manages to routinely lose everything), having just robbed the Naboo Royal Palace, and stolen a valuable Sein Jewel from the Royal Jewels, the pirate is confident that his luck has turned around. Lurking "in the zone" in his newly acquired ship, he targets a distant freighter, a chartered vessel that is completely and totally unremarkable, and engages his hyperdrive. In an instant, he micro-jumps through space, ambushing the unsuspecting freighter.
Except for one tiny detail. Well, a series of details, actually. Said freighter is actually an Imperial transport, accompanied by several TIE Fighters, and is traveling incognito through neutral space: the pirate has just attacked an Imperial convoy, and, in all honesty, is NOT going to have a good day. Fierce battle ensues, TIE Fighters are destroyed, and daring maneuvering and flying on the pirate's part rewards him with, you guessed it, being boarded and taken into Imperial custody.
Precisely on schedule, a trio of Star Destroyers drop out of hyperspace, docking with the transport and taking the pirate and his tiny crew (an insectoid meatshield lackey and and an effeminate zelosian) straight to the brig. Interrogation is in order - the pirate had no way of knowing that an incredibly valuable piece of information, vital to the war effort, was being transported by the convoy. By all rights the Imperials thing the pirate to be a Rebellion member, and already the Imps are on their guard. Enter then a third piece of information, unknown to all: the Rebellion, aware of the rendezvous but no the exact location, had already infiltrated the destroyers many days earlier - intentionally being captured during a routine impoundment. These commandos lie in wait within the detention level, waiting to burst out and seize the information that had been hidden from them for so long.
But the arrival of the pirate, and the increased guard of the Imperials throws the entire plan into disarray. The commandos signal for the backup plan to be put into place - and a Rebel fleet drops out of hyperspace, engaging in battle with the Imperials. In the pandemonium, the Rebel Commandos break out of the detention level, freeing the pirate in the process - and are amazed to find that the pirate is an old brother in arms.
A mad race against the clock begins, the Commandos and wayward pirate fighting their way through the ship (made possible by the fleet battle waging outside). Retrieving the data, broken and bruised, all but one Commando is left alive - and just barely. In a final desparate act, this soldier of the Rebellion gives the intel to the pirate, tasking him with getting it to the Resistance, before dying upon the deck.
The pirate, escaping via escape pod, watches as the fleets in their entirety destroy each other in mutual complete destruction. Seventy thousand crewmen and soldiers dying for a tiny crystal that the pirate now had hidden within his body. Landing, the pirate lies to his friends, fleeing to the stars...and a new adventure begins.
