Would being hired by and working with a desperate and slightly unconventional Jedi to track down a missing friend appeal to you, or would your character be more likely to work against that Jedi? This is more of a rescue mission than an assassination.

Yes, there would be interest in something like this. Barabel's respect the Jedi a great deal, or so Wookieepedia says. Killing isn't necessary as long as the hunt is challenging.

Ok, cool. I'm trying to find a way to make this character active again, but I pretty much need to start over from scratch with new storylines. I don't have a lot of specific plotlines planned right now, I'm interested in mostly making this up as we go along. The point isn't the actually locate Kel'Al's missing friend(s) so much as it is to create a scenario for him to interact with characters outside the normal Jedi enclaves. It also allows me to give the character some closure, rather than just ignoring his losses.

I'm sort of interested in organizing a Terentatak hunt. I'm envisioning an SL where a far off, probably darkside-ish world has a town/city/whatever that is being plagued by a horrible monster that is stalking the outskirts, killing groups of travelers, farmers, and so far the local security has been unable to stop/see the beast. The fear has caused the community to reach out to the jedi. Undermanned and busy with the war, the jedi can barely spare anyone. They'll select me in order to get me away from the frontlines as I enjoyed the combat too much, was too extreme and had become difficult for other jedi to work with. Anyway, being sent alone, I'll need to build a team to join me and help me hunt it down.

Awesome, Tat loves getting love. Just a heads up. There is a massive free for all war going on down on the surface for control between the local groups (Planetary control is shifting more from Hutt Space to Independent). Meaning that in the course of your RP, you may have to deal with locals that range from helpful to murderous. For the moment, the faction lines are more or less Jawas vs Tuskens vs Locals vs Outsiders. Note however there is also a Civil war going on within each faction as well. So there are something like eight factions hammering it out.
The end result is going to be the Twin Sun Coalition, which is going to be collection of the more moderate groups. But that is still way off. So feel free to run with whoever or with no-one. Writers on world for the moment are Aer (GA), Marcos (FO), Nart (TSC Tuskens), Resi (Criminal Locals) & Mig (TSC Jawas). NPC groups are (TSC Locals, Traditional Jawas, Traditional Tuskens). Posting rate for the SL is fairly low due to Narting being MIA again & Aer having this as a low priority SL.

Alaric Lamar - Wondering if I could join this hunt as well? I was still on Tatooine when I took my hiatus, so it shouldn't be too hard to meet up. That being said, it might be preferable if I find out through local news or something and decide to investigate the hunt myself?
