In one wing of the ruins lies a massive library containing thousands of delicate scrolls, worn texts, and even a small selection of crude data storage devices. The ancient stone shelves rise a full two stories above the ground floor, connecting with the ceiling above, with a series of long, intricately carved wooden ladders on rollers to allow access to the upper reaches of the archives. A series of ensconced braziers at the end of each shelf, once used to provide a steady, warm light in the wide center aisle that runs the length of the library, have been supplanted by modern lighting which runs along the ancient ceilings to illuminate the aisles and other spaces within the archive. There are plenty of large tables with adequate seating to allow for the studying of resources, as well as data terminals for the viewing of digital resources. At the center of the library, where once a massive desk served as a central anchor for the space, lies a series of modern data terminals which can be used, with proper clearance of course, to locate specific items within the massive, ancient collection or to access the digital back-ups of the collection's contents. In addition to the library's original contents, additional, more modern resources continue to be added to the collection as they are acquired. Modern climate controls keep the entire space at an optimal temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit with a relative humidity of 35% for the preservation of the original collection and other similarly fragile resources.
