Update : RP has begun. Resi has landed on Kiffu and things are progressing. The locals don't yet know what a monster is in their midst.
Abaddon has his own plans for Thyferra, so we will find out when and where he appears and go from there.
Anyone from our side can go to Thyferra or Kiffu at any time, but NO one will know of an attack or any infiltration without finding out in RP. The strike teams wont be leaving until we find out through a distress signal or a prolonged communications blackout that something is wrong. Until then its business as usual.
I will keep a log here of publicly known information as it develops during the RP.
Edit : Oh, and Death Watch will be heading to set up on Concordia. Figured that location made the most sense given The Clone Wars cartoon.

Well, we can discuss it IC, and work something out. Will be interesting to see how Death Watch will work, since historically they tended to oppose the entire rest of the Mandalorians...
EDIT: or apparently you've already posted over there finding an old base...

Just a warning, DO has ... history (rather direct history in fact) with death watch. Unless I'm mistaken, the DO's standing kill on sight orders are still in effect.

Well, this will be extremely interesting then, as Death Watch is trying to actually pick a side now, but they are kind of caught in the middle.

If you are aiming for friendly ... You might want to start with comm calls ... possibly from the next system over. Or further. XD
The DO really, really hates the DW. Early on in the clan, a brush with the DW ended with about a quarter to half of the DO members dead, pretty much the entire DO ground military wiped out, & about twenty years worth of infrastructure build up obliterated.

Well, considering that everything is already in place, I'm kind of reluctant to do anything major for now. At least not until this whole surprise attack business is done. I then might do some interesting stuff, like maybe Death Watch splitting apart (again)? Like one side supports the idea of helping the Mandalorians but the other wants to fight them. Or maybe one side might want to join an entirely different faction. In any case, opinions are welcome and appreciated.

Sounds good so far.
Just a reminder, this is going to be a surprise attack. We don't know there's an attack or a battle coming.
Please be extra careful about separating IC knowledge and OOC knowledge.

Side, as in whether they oppose the MA or not? Going to be very tricky water for you either way. Honesty, my hope is the Death Watch will realise fighting the MA will just cause unnecessary infighting between Mandalorians and weaken us against future Outsider attacks...

Well, side means the MA, or maybe some third person or party, like what happened with Darth Maul. Probably what will happen is that there will be a small-scale mutiny, that might escalate into a full on civil war. If that is the case I would say that probably what would happen is that Selena gets the help of the MA to defeat the other side. Or Death Watch will simply decide to support the MA fully, no mutinies or civil wars at all. Either way, it is going to happen after this whole buisness with the sneak attack and all is completed.

I think the best thing for DW to do is to figure out what action will best benefit their clan as a whole. DW have always wanted to have control over everything Mandalorian (as far as I know), so It would make sense to me If the DW were to side with any opposition to the MA.

Well, the thing is that Death Watch is now led by a more rational person, who recognizes the fact that fighting the MA would weaken them both to outside forces, plus she has to balance her responsibilities as leader of Death Watch with her responsibilities as leader of Clan Vizla, so Death Watch will be fighting alongside the MA. However, in the near future, there may be some sort of infighting within Death Watch as to whether they should side with the MA.

Can someone shoot me a PM as to what exactly is going on? Bringing myself back into the fold and all That. Would like to see the cliff notes version so as not to have to read 6 pages. Gracias.

Ok, Ladies & Gentlemen(ish). It is time for Admy's corner. Today we will be looking at the stats & numbers for the various Mando ships (that have them, anyway). This will show what fleet roles we have ships for & what we roles we need to make stats for (to go along with mando ships that have names, but no stats).
We start on the fighter/bomber end. For light fighters, we have the M3-A & The Davaab. In the case of both, they are obviously fast attack craft designed to deploy in numbers to overwhelm enemy fighters. While both are structurally nearly as weak as the TIE fighter & similarly armed, they quickly gain the upper hand because of their shields. On top of the shields, the Davaab also has both lasers & missiles, while the M3 can only carry one or the other. Next up is the Basilisk, which packs a much heavily hit. Unlike the Davaab or the M3 which can keep pace with TIE fighters, its much heavier frame makes it significantly slower. Despite the lost in speed though, it is not much more resistant to weapons & even lacks the shields of the smaller mando fighters. What it does have though is weapons & lots of them. Fully geared up, this craft can even be a threat to both hordes of fighters & much larger ships (through the use of its claws to steadily rip into their innards). One step up again is the M12-L, in many ways, it is like the Classic X-wing in that it is a superiority fighter. With a nice mix of firepower, shields & speed, the M12 walks into any fight expecting to rule the field. While it lacks the power to face down true capital ships in anything less than overwhelming numbers, it packs a powerful punch against smaller capitals & rips other fighters to shreds. Beyond this point, we start getting into bombers & gunships. These ships are designed mostly to face down much larger ships & win. However, they are generally poorly equipped to handle smaller adversaries. First up is the M22-T gunship, a powerful warhorse designed to carry a range of weapon types. They are usually fitted to hunt capital ships, but they can just as simply be fitted to pound away at ground targets. The last in this section is the Teroch Gunship. While it is technically a gunship it is poorly suited to taking on capital ships. What it is good for is as part of an anti-fighter screening element. In particular against Light fighters such as the TIE or A-wing. A secondary usage is for delivery of a squad of veterans straight to the front line. Its weapons, powerful enough to take a reaping from starfighters, are usually more than sufficient to clear a landing sight of all but the heaviest ground vehicles & troops.
A final note before progressing is that the M Series (M3, M12, & M22) are designed from the ground to be heavily modifiable. To a point that would put even CEC craft to shame. With even minimal tools & time, the weapons, shields, cockpit features & pretty much everything else about the ships can be changed, modified or enhanced. This means that while the stats listed below represent the 'standard' factory issue version, the end result can be vastly different.
M3-A fighter Role: Light Fighter 1 weapon mount (interchangeable): laser cannon, ion cannon, concussion missiles (6), proton torpedo (6), etc 1 crew ====== Davaab fighter Role: Light Fighter 2 light laser cannons, medium concussion missile (3) 1 crew ====== Basilisk Role: Crowd Control fighter/Capital killer Claws, light laser cannons, light concussion missiles (4), pulse-wave cannons 1 crew, 1 passenger ====== M12-L fighter Role: Superiority Fighter 4 lasers, concussion missiles (12), proton torpedoes (4) 1+astromech crew ====== M22-T gunship Role: Gunship/Bomber 4 laser cannons, concussion missiles (16), + 2 laser cannons OR 2 ion cannons 2 crew, 2 passenger ====== Teroch Gunship 18m Role: Fighter Defense/Landing craft double laser cannon 8 crew, 6 passenger
Now we get to the Lighter Capital ships. The pickings here are a little lighter. The Shaadlar is a fantastic screening ship. With a huge number of Point Defense cannons, it can rip through fighter craft with frightening speed. Beyond that, it also packs a fair number of smaller turbolasers, meaning it can get into slugging matches with larger ships as well. Though in that case it usually ends quickly as the Shaadlar lacks the shielding to stand up under return fire from heavier guns. As a last note, the Shaadlar is a troop transport, carrying a huge number of soldiers & being able to land directly on the battle field like a flaming Valkyrie. Next is the Jehavey'ir. The Jehavey'ir packs a light punch in energy weapons, splitting nearly half its power into Ion weapons. However, it has a surprise that makes it a real killer. The missiles it is loaded with are designed to obliterate Capital ships of much larger size. The missiles are perfectly capable of taking out even larger Star Destroyers within a few salvos. In addition, the Jehavey'ir is carrying enough stocks for six salvos. Its smaller size, greater speed, higher maneuverability & the longer range of its missiles are the primary defenses of the craft, as it lacks the shields or hull strength to withstand the weapon loads of even the smallest Star Destroyers.
Shaadlar troopship 130m Role: Fighter Defense/Troopship 16 turbolasers, 16 PD ion cannons, PD light concussion missiles (50) 30 crew, 800 passenger ====== Jehavey'ir assault ship 188m (Nebulon-B + God awful missile) Role: Capital Killer 8 turbolasers, 8 heavy ion cannons, super heavy concussion missiles (36) 200 crew, 500 passenger
Time for the very fun stuff. The Biggest of the Big. The true capital ships. The smallest of these is the Kyramud. The Kyramud is a powerful ship, with a heavy punch. While it has the turbolaser count of an Imperial Star Destroyer, its real power is the network of Ion canons & the missile launchers it boasts. Unlike the smaller capital ships, the Kyramud has shield that nearly rival those of the Mon Calamari craft, though they lack the regenerative speed. The relatively heavy focus on ions mean the Kyramud is well suited to taking prisoners, while the other weapons ensure it is able to stand up in a straight up fight as well. The Keldabe is a Star Destroyer, plain & simple. In nearly every way that matters (Shields, Weapons, Hull) is it every inch the equal of the Imperial Star Destroyer. Its weapon mix is a little different though. Instead of the over reliance on turbolasers, the Keldabe has a mix of weapons including ions and a single super sized mass driver. It is also barely two thirds the size of the much larger Imperial. The reason for this is simple. Unlike the ISD, the Keldabe sacrifices every one of the secondary functions of the larger warship in order to reduce size & increase its speed. The Kandosii on the other hand is nearly bolt for bolt identical to the ISD. Like the ISD, the Kandosii can serve as both a center line combatant & then turn around to function as a fleet tender, ground support operations, or mobile fortress. The last entry is a bit of an odd ball. While it is roughly the same size as the Kyramud, the Lictor is nearly completely lacking in weaponry. Instead the Lictor is fitted with immensly powerful shields & an incredibly vast number of prison cells. Give the usual comparisons between prison live & the military, it is not unreasonable to imaging the Lictor being converted into a mobile garrison ship with little effort.
Kyramud battleship 752m Role: Capital Killer 32 PD Ion cannons, 40 turbolasers, 16 tractor beams, heavy concussion missiles (80) 36 fighters, 3 shuttles, + "various support" 1,200 crew, 2,000 passenger ====== Keldabe 700-900m range Role: Star Destroyer 40 Turbolasers, 24 heavy ion cannons, mass driver, 8 tractor 36 fighters, 4 shuttles 6,000 crew, 1,000 passenger ====== Kandosii dreadnaught 1360m Role: Star Destroyer 40 turbolasers, 16 PD laser cannons, super heavy concussion missiles (120), 16 Tractor 128 fighters, 8 shuttles, + "various support" 10,000 crew, 30,000 passenger ====== Lictor dungeon ship 764m Role: Flying Prison 10 turbolasers 860 crew, 400 passenger, 8,000 standard prisoner cells, 1,000 anti-force cells
