Sidara threw back the rest of the whiskey in glass while he took the call. It sounded intense and she started to get that feeling of adrenaline she had missed from her days running the universe with Corr. She listened to the conversation and hoped this would turn into the kind of adventure she lived for. Kaine stood up and offered her some Hyperox pills and an invitation to join along. A smile spread across her face and her eyes lit up as she took the pills and swallowed them. She picked up her buy'ce and started toward the door.
Hell yeah I want to come along. It's been some time since I've cozied up to some Vong. Let's go!

Kaine picked up his own buy'ce and dropped it over his head. The familiar displays lit before his eyes as he led Sidara out the door and over to the lift.
Outstanding! Let's hunt. The blood was flowing now. A chance to face the old enemy, and with a fine warrior like this at his side. Kaine was indeed in his element when the osik hit the fan. With blink commands to his HUD, he was already running a full diagnostic of his systems before the elevator doors had opened.
I'm not ashamed to admit a large part of me hopes this isn't a false alarm.

Sidara's buy'ce lit up, and she cringed. She always hated wearing it, but Corr made such a huge deal of it, she didn't dare go into any situation without it anymore. She checked her blaster, and patted her leg pocket for the cigarettes she was dying to have right now. The elevator doors opened, and she stepped out turning to say something to Kaine, and walking right into another body.
Oh hey, I'm sorry, yeah? I didn't mean to run into you... .

The elevator up to the executive level was taking forever to come down, but Mel's thoughts had drifted already. It had been a long time since she had been among the Mandalorians again. It had taken a very long time to extricate herself from the mess after the Mando War but now it seemed like distance and time had fogged everything to grey. She just knew she had to pick up and keep going.
A few contacts reached out to her for freelance work now that she was no longer tied to the Liannan government and the pay was too good to pass up. However she needed to take care of some other matters first.
A soft woosh accompanied the doors parting, and Mel's focus was brought back to the present as she recognized the armor in front of her.
"Sid?"

Sid spun around to the familiar voice...No it couldn't be, here of all places.
"Holy feck! Mel? What on earth are you doing here? " Sid glanced at Kaine "Hold up a second." Sid got a smile on her face. "Are you up for an adventure right now?"

Fething pits, it was Sid. Mel shook her head, it was just her friend to be on her way to something dangerous. When wasn't Sid up to something?
"I got time, is the money good?"

Sid looked at Kaine... he nodded at her, agreeing to pay Mel as well.
"Yeah, it's good, and I have a case of your favorite Manaan whiskey we feltched from old man ATD ages ago. You are welcome to as much as you can drink.... so what do you say? Want to go hunt some Vong with me and Austrailis here... oh.. feck... Kaine Australis, this is Mel Tervho, one of my oldest friends and hunting buddies, Mel, this is Kaine Australis.. he's helping me find Corr... but we got interrupted."

"Nice to meet you Kaine."
Her errands to Mandal Arms could wait. There was money and whiskey to be had and Vong to hunt. That was good enough for Mel. She glanced down at her gear and nodded in approval.
"You're on. Lead the way."

Sid nodded and started for the front foyer thinking back to the first time she and Mel met.
Goddess Mel, it's gotta be fecking 25 years or so yeah? That was just a little bit before I left home. You had just turned up in the village. I never thought I'd see you again, and then you showed up on a transport. Man, we were young and dumb then, eh? Surviving on cigarettes and cheap booze... well until we raided Manaan and the old man for his stash. That was quite the trip too. I think you might be the only person I've actually known for that long. That's crazy, right?

MandalArms
Work had continued at a predictably frenetic pace at MandalArms despite the excitement elsewhere, and the adventures of the absentee CEO. Things had progressed to the point where the facilities were ready to begin production. Stocks of materiel had been built up to the point where they had approximately three months of resources on hand, and that would increase as the delivery schedule expanded further.
On the HoloNet, and on local Mandalorian radio, vid and via posters in Oyu'baat and other local meeting places, MandalArms began to advertise its wares to the Mandalorians, and to the galaxy. Aruetii credits were welcome, but the goods available to them weren't quite as cutting edge as those available to vode, though this wasn't announced openly. Mandos understood.
A colossal fireworks display lights up the sky above Keldabe for a full 24 hours to mark the opening of the new arms company.
---
Kaine walked along with Sid and Mel as the two old comrades got re-acquainted. Not far from the MandalArms complex was a small landing area, where his bes'uliik and a few other Clan Australis craft were parked. He looked to Mel and to Sid as they approached.
Bes'uliik seats two. We can take two fighters, or all jump in a Tra'kad. Ladies choice. Kaine preferred to pilot his bes'uliik, but he'd be just as happy to take one of the rugged tra'kade out for a spin.

Sid looked at Mel and shrugged.
Might as well just jump in with you at this point. Easier for us to stay together too. Goddess knows I've done enough looking for people these days.
Sid looked over at Mel, "That's a story for another time, my friend. Shall we follow Australis then?"

The Starhunter circled overhead, looking for a space to land. Not able to find one, Selena decided to just hover next to the warehouse, drop them and their stuff off, then have R8 fly it back to the spaceport. Having done all this, the Starhunter set off. Carrying her normal armor over her shoulder, and dressed in the Beskar'gam that once belonged, apparently, to a member of the Nite Owls, she walked up to the door of the warehouse. "Members of the Mandalorian Assembly! We are friends, here to help. We were sent here by Davren Australis. He said this is your headquarters. Please, do not hurt us, we will not fight you."

MandalArms was a 24 hour 7 day a week business, so there were always plenty of people going to and from their duties, and the desks were always staffed, and the checkpoints manned. Security had noted the Nite Owl insignia on the way in, but taken no action. The Nite Owls were well respected among the vode of Clan Australis.
In the warehouse, Darzeka Australis overheard the woman's voice speaking Davren's name, and came over.
Always happy to meet a friend of Davren's. Name's Darzeka. Darzeka appraised the newcomer. Clad in beskar'gam, so she was likely to be capable, but an unknown.
What can I do for you? Looking to sign on? That's usually what Davren sends people here for.

She didn't hesitate to reply "Yes, that's why he sent us. Said this was the headquarters of your clan, and we wish to assist you." She paused for a moment, taking her helmet off. "I'm Selena Vizla of Clan Vizla. My friend and I were sent by Davren in order to sign up. He is a hunter, specializing in tracking and exterminating targets without being seen, I'm pretty much kill everything, but my specialty is sniping. But I can also do raiding, basically anything involving any combat of any sort. So, are you in charge, or do you report to Kaine Australis? I have seen him before, while I was in Keldabe when I was still being trained. He is something of a legend."

**20 Minutes Later** She hung up , turning back to Dazerka, looking pleased. "Well, I spoke with my father. He said that I could take over leadership of the clan. So, I ordered all of our forces here. I have soldiers that are sworn loyal to Clan Vizla, and the Death Watch, the other group under my control. They will assist you with whatever battles you fight."

Darzeka thought for a minute, considering Selena's words carefully.
I'm Kaine's second. I speak for him when he's not around. Which tends to be a lot.
Best place for Death Watch to set up is Concordia. Watch out for the Mand'alor though, there's a political dimension there. He gestured up where the moon hung in the night sky of Mandalore
Tell your Death Watch people to set up an outpost, somewhere quiet, let us know the location, and wait for instructions.
For Clan Vizla, Thyferra will be the place. Get your people together, and link up with Major Ja'ak Australis, who is running things on Thyferra for Clan Australis. He'll be expecting you.
Darzeka sent messages to the Clan to that effect, then looked back to Selena.
If you need anything further, get in touch. Good hunting, ner vod.

The commencement of full time weapons production at MandalArms hadn't slowed the progress of construction at all. With the first phases complete, warehouses and workshops were run up in a separate area to the existing admin building, production facilities, and R&D section. This new inner complex which was part of the second phase of expansion would handle vehicle production and heavy armament storage. A large vault-like facility would house the dangerous arrays of torpedoes, missiles and bombs suitable for vehicle mounted weaponry.
The facility was to be tooled up to produce ground vehicles up to and including the vaunted Canderous-class Assault Tank, and the redoubtable Basilisk War Droid, as well as Clan Australis' ubiquitous YVH Combat Droids. Indeed, the latter were among the top priorities for production. There was, however a single project that was first on the list. A special production run of four vehicles of a planned run of twelve. The first four were already being assembled and would be rushed through so that the factories and workshops could begin producing items for sale. The special project had been ordered by Kaine himself, and was as black as could be, with a strict need-to-know rule enforced on both the science teams and the manufacturing workers. All were well paid for their troubles, efforts, and to forget the project as soon as it had been completed. Strict confidentiality clauses were in place, ostensibly to protect trade secrets, and only a few were aware of the entire project's details.
Workers had run new access roads through the ever-growing complex to accomodate the new section. Trucks still came and went with materiel for the production effort, and the continued construction of phase two. Security was kept strict, access to the complex was fully monitored, and IDs were checked randomly to encourage an air of serious security among the workforce. There had been few breaches, most of them coming in the early weeks of operation. By now, people knew the drill, and acted accordingly. The business of arms manufacture was a serious business, and this began to emerge as the corporate culture. Cold professionalism.
The warehouses had begun to fill as the production lines for the small arms and associated ammunition began to bear fruit. The sales staff now had some numbers to play with, and stock to move, and the Administration building filled up more and more by the day with the suited types that were a necessary evil in a galactic level corporation. Private speeders, some worth more than a manufacturing worker made in a year began to be seen cruising into the executive parking spaces. A sure sign of prosperity, and that MandalArms was growing strong.

*Not being overly familiar with Keldabe, it had taken Kal longer than it should have to find the place, and when he did, he felt just a little sheepish... the place was huge. Easily an entire city block, from what he could tell where he was standing, a way down the street. The MandalArms name and logo was emblazoned across the side. And, if those men he had passed earlier knew what they were talking about, then it was being run not just be Clan Australis, but Kaine himself. Kal wondered for a moment if his aunt knew that Kaine was alive, but he doubted it. He was sure if she'd known, she'd have gone looking for him. But after the brutal surprise attack on Myrkr, she'd thought there was nothing left to go back to. She'd been off world at the time, but the look she got in her eyes when she talked about it.... it scared him... and saddened him. If this rumour turned out to be true, he would have to let her know. Eventually. But then again, maybe she deserved her peace and quiet on the farm. Lord knows he'd given her enough trouble over the years. But he'd worry about that later; for now not only did he not know for sure, but he was pretty damn sure he'd have to prove himself just to get his foot in the door.*
Kal marched down the street with a determined stride that exuded more confidence than most men his age had; he knew what he wanted and he was fixed on achieving it, whatever the obstacle. As he approaches the entrance he nods to the guard, allowing security to do their thing. Once inside, he heads to one of the manned desks that, thankfully, happened to be free at that time. At a nod from the officer behind it Kal takes a seat.*
"Good afternoon sir. I'm Kal, from Enceri. I have heard that Kaine, Aliit'alor of Australis is alive, and that he is leading the Clan to victories once more...."
*Kal now locks at intense gaze on the officer before him; not disrespectful but enough to know that he is serious and that his youth should not be held against him.*
"If this is true sir, then I wish to serve. I will swear allegiance to Aliit Australis, I will fight for it, and if need be die for it. I only ask one boon; that I be allowed to swear this to Kaine himself."

Darzeka had been notified of the new arrival and made his way quickly across to the MandalArms offices where Kal was located. Kaine liked to meet new recruits personally where possible, and where he was unavailable, Darzeka handled the task. Kaine was unavailable a great deal, so his personal workload never seemed to take a break.
The big mando in Australis green and black wandered in and appraised Kal, having been informed of the particulars. Buy'ce off, hanging from a belt hook, he looked over the newcomer with his own eyes.
Admirable attitude, vod'ika. You'll do. A quick check of records had shown precious little about Kal's known history, though there had been a couple of notations.
You'll have to tell Kaine about the pie-eating contest. I'd give good coin to see the old bugger try his luck. It never hurt to let the young recruits know that Clan Australis meant business when it came to information and being informed about everything possible. He smiled to show the comment was meant in jest.
Thyferra is where you'll find our prodigal aliit alor. Provided he hasn't got himself killed, he should be there in time for your arrival. I wish you good fortune, ner vod.
Darzeka turned to leave, then turned back.
Good to meet you. If there's ever anything you need, just ask. Welcome to the brotherhood.
