Canon History:

Naboo was a planet that was the sector capital of the Chommell Sector near the Outer Rim territories. It was a largely unspoilt world with large plains and forests and oceans. It was mostly known as the homeworld of notable historical figures who played major roles in the downfall of the Old Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire, namely Padmé Amidala, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine and Jar Jar Binks.

Naboo was a geographically unique world in the galaxy. A plasmic molten outer core surrounded an inner core, believed to be composed primarily of a nickel-iron alloy, with very small amounts of some other elements. These elements were found in abundance in other chemical compositions in the galaxy, but it is the unique properties of the plasma which interested astrophysicists, plasma which the two primary civilizations harnessed to supply clean and efficient energy highly valued through-out the galaxy.

The plasmic magma "seethes and bubbled" from the center of the planet carving labyrinths of winding tunnels and caverns similar to lava tubes of traditional magma flows. Much of these abyssal labyrinths were submerged in great underground oceans, which were home to immense aquatic animals and creatures that were never seen on the surface. Animals such as the Colo Claw Fish, Opee Sea Killer, Sando Aqua Monster, and others inhabited this underworld realm. Gungans dominated these "underwaterways," using them as a highway of sorts between their surface Holy Places and their underwater cities.

Plasmic eruptions found their way to the porous crust of the planet, affecting geographic features there such as mountain chains and plate tectonics.

The surface of Naboo was covered by dense swamps, rolling grass plains, seas and verdant hills. The largest mountain chain, the Gallo Mountains, bisected the largest continent and divided the great grass plains of the north from the Lianorm Swamp and bayous in the south. South of the Lianorm Swamp was the great Paonga Sea, where at the bottom lay the Gungan city of Otoh Gunga. The Lake Country was an area known for its natural beauty, and was home to many vacation estates.

Jedi v Sith History:

During the JvS 1.0 Universe, Naboo was considered a place of peace, offlimits to the wars of the galaxy. The Council of Knowledge was a place where Jedi, Sith, and all other walks of life came together in peace to learn from each other and to socialize with each other.

The Council of Knowledge was destroyed shortly after the creation of the JvS 1.5 Universe, and after a number of wars and occupation by the Sith and then the Hutts, the Naboo rebelled and reasserted their freedom with the assistance of Jedi Knight Cherduo Pedducis of the Corellian Jedi Order. 

At present, Naboo is a member state of the United Federation of Free Worlds (UFFW), a collaborative galactic-wide government lead by Chief of State Kel’Al Raganella. With assistance and support from the UFFW and the Corellian Jedi Order, Queen Adrianna and the Naboo are attempting to rebuild the Peace of Naboo.

Please do not be intimidated by our status as a Gold planet. Anyone, even complete newcomers to role playing, is welcome here. We were all n00bs once.

New RPers and fresh RP faces are always welcome, although Naboo is not the best place to seek IC and OOC training. New players will receive answers to questions through PMs , and we will help point you to places such as Corellia where you can receive training.

We are happy to host closed closed RPs/private SLs, but it's best to let us know what you're doing before you start

To join the story here, please do one of the following:

1) Arrive IC in Naboo's Orbit and introduce yourself/request to land (for any character)

2) Arrive IC in Open Terrain or Theed and introduce yourself (for those native to Naboo)

3) Send an IC/OOC PM to Kel'Al Raganella and introduce yourself.

If you are a new player and want RP training or IC training for your character, let us know. In most cases you will not receive an official OOC welcome PM to the planet's RP via PM. Instead, you will be acknowledged IC on the boards themselves.

Basic Guidelines of OOC Courtesy:

We believed in the value of OOC planning and collaboration. Help us help you, and we'll all enjoy the experience that much more. In that interest, we have a few simple requests to help keep things enjoyable for all parties.

New arrivals (provided you are non-hostile) are not required to ask permission to land, but it is considered a courtesy, especially if you wish to engage with the existing storylines (including the government and security forces), so that we can meet you IC and better help you join our RP. You may not receive as warm or prompt a welcome if you arrive on the surface unannounced, and have not contacted us via PM.

The only exception to this is a hostile or invasion force intent on attacking Naboo. In that case, players are expected to make OOC contact before initiating the hostile action IC, so that both sides' expectations can be shared and a plan for the goals and results of the battle can be established beforehand. This can usually prevent 90% of OOC disputes.

Please do not launch a hostile attack unless you have an IC justification for such actions.

Please avoid writing OOC on the boards whenever possible, using the OOC forum or PMs instead. It is acceptable to use one or two lines of OOC accompanying an IC post when clarification is needed, but OOC conversations should only take place on OOC boards such as this one.

Major RP Locations:

Theed - Theed is the capital city of the planet Naboo, and it is where the Theed Royal Palace was located. The city's famous unified and harmonious architectural style was the result of strict planning regimes and extensive rebuilding after the upheavals of the ancient past. Its sophisticated culture has produced many able and admired galactic politicians, including Senator Palpatine, whose study and early career were based in Theed. 

The Council of Knowledge Ruins - Located on the rolling green hills of Naboo, there stand the old and vacant halls of a council once held in high esteem. Originally brought back to life many years ago by a group of Jedi and Sith alike, this once beautiful illustration of modern architecture has fallen pray to the whims of time. Now covered in moss and uprooted vines, taken by the grip of nature itself, the Council of Knowledge is a testament to the true purpose of the original councilors. Though the wind may erode our resolve, though the seeds of life and turning of time may consume our will to move forward, the Iron Will and commitment to the vision of the Council of Knowledge will forever endure. In a Universe filled with war and strife, the Council of Knowledge will always provide a safe haven for both Jedi and Sith, and an all encompassing journey to expand each others sense of self and sense of others. But this dilapidated ruin of old will soon be reborn again, no longer the shambled shack of Naboo but, once more, the shining beacon of hope that it once ascended to and maintained in the prime of it’s creation.

The Lake Country - The Lake Country was a remote area of the planet Naboo that was dominated by beautiful lakes, surrounded by mountains and valleys. Wide meadows of grass and wildflowers sat among the waterfalls and lakes, and much of the planet's native shaak population made their homes there. It was here that the Varykino retreat—once owned by Omar Berenko and later by the Naberrie family—was located.
