There are many benefits to this outfit, but it never was meant to sway you, Senator.
Graemon looks at Standash, listening to her words attentively. His eyebrow going up slightly at her words, but somehow understanding what she meant. The Fondorian procures a key, which he slips into her hands through an exchange of a handshake. He lowers his voice slightly to ensure no one heard them.
This key will give you the access you are cleared for at the facility on Bothuwai.
He lets go of her grasp before stepping back.
If there are any volunteers or veterans from Alderaan who wish to join, send them my way. I will make sure their motivation and skills do not go to waste, Senator. They will be the unseen pride of your people and the Galactic Alliance.

I will pass that information along. She lightly bows to the man and his guard. Until we see each other again, may your path be straight. She then walked to her office. She had calls to make, and things to set in motion.

Darkness ruled on Mon Calamari, the great oceans of the world were calm and quiet, save for the silent lapping of waves, when the delegation from the various Southern Outer Rim territories formally quit the Senate Chamber. There was little in the way of speeches, no great decorum and no great debates. Representatives listened silently as the collective Outer Rim bloc tendered their resignations as one.
Equally as silently, Outer Rim senators stalked through the corridors of the Senate Building. Geonosians, Neimoidins, Rodians, Dug and Harch, to name but a few, strode, dressed in their ceremonial robes, and flanked by a small contingent of B1 Security Droids, made obvious by the red stripes on most of the units. The procession made its way to the landing pads, the drumming of foot steps their only advertisement.
There was no ceremony as they boarded the shuttle, to be borne away to the ship awaiting them in orbit - bearing a Harch head emblazoned in red and black - and the Senators remaining could only gaze after them and wonder what it meant and what the repercussions of it would be.

A small Sheathipede-shuttle landed at the outskirts of the Senate building, when the sun was already sinking on the horizon of Dac, tinting the nearby ocean into a mixture of blue and orange. While there was probably enough reason to admire the sight from afar, as the passengers had a good look upon the lower dockyards of Foamwander City, the thoughts of Linuy Findos barely were able to witness the natural beauty of the scenery, mixed with the naval-industrial look of the Mon Calamari city. More than frustrated the Neimoidian sighed, as her pilot told her that they were ready to leave the shuttle. With her mission to the Outer Rim being in fact a total desaster, the Neimoidian senator barely cared for those among the patrols of guardsmen, who greeted her friendly as usual, although she greeted them back just to keep to the etiquette. Inside though, she felt more than displeased about the failure of her most recent attempt.
It was hard for a senator in exile to watch the own homeworld from afar, while hoping that one day it would be freed from its occupation. Neimoidia was such a world. A thriving metropolis, once founded by Duro colonists, it became a jewel within the galaxy for a long time, as the planet and its colonies prospered over centuries. Guilds were formed and trade routes were utilized to amass the riches of Neimoidia. Those were the grand days, back then, when the Galactic Republic was gouverning the galaxy. Then the Trade Federation, pinacle of Neimoidia's buisenesses, began the Blockade of Naboo. An event, which seemed at first like a regular conflict between two planets would set the groundwork for the conflicts, which were known to follow afterwards. As the Trade Federation under Nute Gunray suffered its greatest defeat on a foreign world, more was set in motion by forces, who utilized the viceroy and the leaders of the Federation like a puppetmaster its puppet. With their help they started a chain of events which would be known as the Clone Wars. Too old and too corrupt has the Republic become, claimed the Separatists, it was now an enemy that must be dealt with. An oppressor they called it. The banks and guilds had to profit from the gouvernment of the Republic, as it was promised by the charismatic Sith Lord Count Dooku. Back then many followed his call unquestioned - and the Clone Wars let those, who followed him foremost suffer. How foolish they all were! Their deeds would eventually lead to the downfall of the Neimoidian gouvernment, as it was previously known, while both the Separatists and the Republic lost the fight in the end... from their ashes, the Galactic Empire arose, a new power, which would become feared and respected across the universe. It was them, who forced Linuy's ancestor to sign the only piece of paper, which probably spared the entire Neimoidian population from a worse fate than eternal servitude to the Empire. "The Treaty of Neimoidia", signed by Sentepeth Findos meant the death of the Trade Federation and thus the end for Neimoidia's financial independence, but it saved the planet from the worst. It was men like him, which were needed during these dark hours, as it was the previous gouvernment, who was to blame for the situation. Those, who still rose up in rebellion against the Empire afterwards, as they still believed in the Separatist movement met yet their end, unlike the bloodline of the Findos. They bowed, where they had to bow in order to save their people.
Linuy frowned. For a long time the Neimoidians were treated like animals by the Empire and others, who occupied the Neimoidian sector after Emperor Palpatine's demise and the first fall of the Empire. Over decades the Neimoidians suffered like most species from the Tarkin doctrine, but while they bowed and knelt, others financed in secret the resistance against the ursurpers, supporting the only ones who were able to stand against the Empire. And the Galactic Rebellion succeeded, resulting in a New Republic under whose support Neimoidia was briefly freed. With them the hope for a new beginning returned, even when the planet was lost again to the Imperial Remnant at a later point. Linuy had only heard of the days, when Neimoidia was briefly freed from the shackles of the Empire - yet these days were rumored to be wonderful, as most citizens could finally wear their robes again in pride, while not having to cover under the rifles of Imperial Stormtroopers, which were always present to guard them like caged animals. This was all due to the Galactic Rebellion and their members. Those, who provided the way for free gouvernments, who would always oppose the Imperial Remnant and their inhuman ideology, no matter the cost. And the Galactic Alliance was one of them. Her personal beacon of hope that one day the shackles of Neimoidia could be broken forever.
Thus it filled her even more with disdain, when thinking back at the meeting she had recently with a spy, she had sent to Geonosis, the bastion of the treacherous Harch Senator Krennel Gulch. Linuy didn't knew whether it angered her more that the arrogant despot had decided to leave the Galactic Alliance along with a lot of his followers - some of their ranks being filled by members of her species - in order to found his own resistance movement against the First Order or the fact that he intended to revive the very same institution, which lead to the downfall of Neimoidia. A Confederacy of Independent Systems! Her hand formed silently an angered fist by the pure thought of this despicible image. It seemed like history seemed to repeat itself.
According to her newest reports, there were already fights within the Outer Rim, where Imperial forces had been sighted in direct combat against the ships of the new Separatist movement. Given their arrogance, the Galactic Alliance provided no support to their agenda, as they already caused enough turmoil on Rodia and other worlds which justified distrusting them. And thus it didn't surprise Linuy to hear, that the new Confederacy was dying faster than it was formed. Reports of hostile Star Destroyers were heard within the Rodia system, while the Separatist navy was crumbling. The morale of those, who eagerly followed broken. Nontheless among the Neimoidian refugees, who eagerly joined up with the Separatists, only a hand full was ready to desert in order to rejoin with the Galactic Alliance. The rest either had given up hope or was killed by the means of the First Order's allies. It was at this point obvious that the treacherous Harch and his followers would end up like their predecessors. While endangering the position of the Alliance even more with their pointless crusade against a moloch, whom they couldn't stop from crushing them.
And the thought of what consequences their foolish decision would bear for the Galactic Alliance as a whole, now that its power seemed to grow thinner with each day, frightened the Neimoidian senator more than she was able to admit. Thus she was escorted with a worried expression on her face towards her quarters, as her hopes of saving her people from madmen like Gulch, had crumbled once more.

As Senator Findos left the halls of the senate as usual, she noticed immidiately that someone was waiting explicitly for her. Not that she was surprised to see Din Maggi though... she rather would have been surprised if he wouldn't have shown up. A whole week has passed since they met the last time within his small, little estate, where Findos had tasked him to find more men for the cause of the Galactic Alliance, while at the same time having asked for contacts. Therefore Din probably had fulfilled the tasks which were given to him, she assumed. Only with a slight nod she told him to follow, while two of the Garhai Guards were following them in loose distance, making clear that noone would dare to attack the Senator during her little talk.
"So, regarding my payment we don't really need to talk, Senator Findos, as I recieved the checks already one day after your last visit - for this sum I probably owe you a tea session again", he replied in his usual buiseness manner, "Yet, in truth the sum is too generous, compared to what I was actually able to achieve. Unless you want me to invest a good portion of it into the growth of our local community, as we usually tend to, I fear that I'll have to repay half of it - otherwise I would feel like a deciever." Growing worried, Linuy looked up, fearing already for the worst, as her amphibian eyes mustered the merchant sceptical. "One Majestic-class cruiser and around threehundred Neimoidian volunteers", he said bitter, "That's all what I was able to achieve within the entire Galactic Alliance territory. The cruiser was a ship, which I was able to buy in a deal with certain... buiseness partners in the Hutt space, so to say, as our own shipyards have become a bureaucratic nightmare most recently. Seriously, I would probably have an easier time to buy the entirety of Kuat Drive Yards than getting one single carrier from the Mon Calamari!" The senator was used to her own culture enough that she could tell, that Maggi wasn't overexaggerating just to let her feel bad about taking money back - he was serious to a certain point and she was willing to believe him. There was no reason why she wouldn't. "And Raxus Prime?", she inquired, having at least hoped that Maggi would work his magic over contacts in order to get some old junk flying, We can always fill the ships with other members of the Alliance. All we need is contribution towards our common cause in order to strengthen the fleet. Again the Neimoidian shook his head, this time gulping. "I... I checked there first, as I was certain that there were ships, which were recently brought there, but... they're gone.", he responded with a regreting voice, "I don't know what happened there - pirates some said on the station, while they couldn't do anything. And when the fleet arrived, of course it was too late already." "And you yelled at them after their arrival?" "And I yelled at them after their arrival, yes", Maggi replied while shaking his head, "It's one of the reasons why I am at your side, senator, because you don't believe how much money the ineffectivity of our fleet costs me. Don't get me wrong! They're good at shooting Star Destroyers or those nasty Hutt ships, oh yes! But these men lack discipline and routine! Those ships who arrived at Raxus were the supposed sector patroll! And guess what? They were 2 hours late within their patrol plan, because they had to pick up several crew members from their bar visits, having arrived with a small crew already! I get that we're not the Empire and don't treat our men like mashines as they do, but jeez!- the morale of the fleet has dropped by a lot since recent battles." Jabiim, Linuy only thought to herself in mind, In light of the Imperial's recent victories it wasn't too far-fetched to see where the problems among basic crewmembers can be found. Although it was of course not that easy. Linuy knew that the Galactic Alliance was pretty liberal when it came to the requirements of volunteering crew members and soldiers. Thus it was probably always the case, that some of these men rather prefered to annoy their superiors while slowing down processes on board, while the officers either lacked themselves discipline or had their problems effectively fighting. We're after all not the Empire - we don't execute men for simple reasons, as we fight injustice and tyranny. Our strength is as well our weakness sometimes. The Senator sighed and nodded, having already arrived at the exit of the senate building, while looking over the park side. "Well, what you assembled is better than nothing, wheras you're right regarding the money, Din", she answered diplomatic after some thought, "Keep your Credits and utilize them as you said - one Majestic isn't great, but we can fill it up with crewmembers from the Alliance. Neimoidia might not be represented well enough by one single ship within the Alliance, but it is at least a start. I will probably just name it 'Spark of Nen', after our sun. One spark can easily become a wildfire - and one day, we will ignite the Galaxy with it. For Neimoidia and the Resistance!" Her buisenesspartner nodded, being more than fascinated by the sheer thought. "A well chosen name with a good symbol", Maggi congratulated the Senator with a smile, "I will see if I can acquire more ships and crewmembers from the Outer Rim, hopefully even some from Separatist space. Until then though, you probably have to go through the list of contacts I made up for you. Those men and women are known to fight already within our ranks, but their expierience will be mandatory to train our newest recruits, no matter if crewmember, starfighter pilot or soldier. If you can convince some of them to join the fleet you're currently mustering, it might increase your influence within the senate as well, who knows?"
Linuy nodded, while taking gladly the datapad, which was handed over to her. By briefly looking over it, she noticed that this would be a long list. "I'll definitly honor it", she only replied, while planning in head already whom among those countless people to approach first, You have done well for the moment, Din. From here on, I'll do the main work regarding these.
