Dressel
Canon Info:
By Human standards, it was a pleasant world with a mixture of climates, including plains, hills, and forests. The Dressellians first evolved on the sub-equatorial grasslands of the main continent, Breehara.
Discovered by Bothan scouts of the Clan Askar around 200 BBY, it was largely left alone by the Galactic Republic, although visited by Jedi scouts. The Askars recognized the Dressellians and left them alone, settling in the Dressellian Asteroid Belt instead. The Galactic Empire occupied the planet around 10 BBY. The occupation was fiercely resisted by the Dressellians, who joined the Rebel Alliance and were early members of the New Republic.
-IC Sympathy tends towards: All. Dressel is strictly neutral
-Type of RP and/or SL likely to be found: Dressel is the site of the planned Galactic Marketplace. RP will mostly be commerce centered. However, if you find yourself in need of work as a bounty hunter or security guard, there is plenty of work to be had.
What to expect as a new RP arrival: Expect to find a crowded market, filled with a dizzying array of goods and services. Dressel will be the perfect place to buy your first IC weapons and ships. While your mileage may vary, the goal is to create a safe and secure role playing experience for all. NOTE: If you borrow money from a loan shark and don't pay him back, he will be well within his rights to break your legs. You have been warned.
-Specific Scenarios:
Non-combatant large storylines (planetary affairs such as business)
Possibility for bounty hunter RP
Suggestions and/or rule variations for this Planet
This is not the place for OOC nemoidian. If you cannot remain polite and courteous on the OOC boards (aka the only place OOC interaction will be allowed) then take it to chat, PM, the Guilds, or Whills. Also, please remember that while Dressel has no native defense system at this time, there are a variety of individuals and factions with resources in the area. They will not be pleased if you start trying to blow stuff up. If ever there was a way to anger the entire RP community at once, this would be it.
-What to expect as a new RP arrival wanting to write here:
Visiting writers welcome
New players to the Universe welcome
To join the story here: just RP anywhere straight away. There will be a directory that will point you to the various shops. Also, there will be at least one commons area to mingle with the community. Just land at the spaceport and hop in. NOTE: This planet will have a variety of people and factions. Always remain courteous unless you think suicide really is painless.
-There will be a wide variety of factions present. Therefore, a strict neutrality will be enforced. If you absolutely, positively cannot resist killing someone, venues will be provided.
Dressel is currently considered a Blue Light Planet, and will observe the following rule-set:
1) Blue light badges denote planets that offer open and free IC interaction between players, unhindered by the TLS. Individuals that write on such planets accept that the planetary badge takes precedence over their personal badge. An "anything goes" atmosphere is to be accepted as the status quo on Blue Light planets and player death, robbery, violence, and any conceivable interaction spontaneously occurring between individuals are all understood to be permissible.
2) On the planetary scale, anything goes - IE, players can travel wherever they wish at their own peril, or attack / invade (on a small individual scale) what they wish to on the planet. HOWEVER, in order to keep massive abuse from factions obtaining as many blue light planets as they can - on the premise that these worlds are now "open" for attack - planetary invasions of a planet must be PMed and talked out before hand with the planetary stewards as a safe guard against potential abuse.
3) The Blue Light designation does NOT mean a total reversal of the rules of the site that are in place. The Natural laws in their entirety with the exception of the TLS will still be actively in effect on Blue Light planets. GMing, PGing, and other violations of the Natural Laws will be treated the same as it would on any other planet.
4) The Blue Light designation does NOT mean closed or semi planned SL's are not permitted on planets. However, it is understood that while a semi planned SL's beginning and end can be set by the party in question; should an individual wish to interact with said semi closed party, they may do so provided their interaction does not hinder the parties ability to achieve their goals within their story. Planetary controllers may elect to set their own rules on what type of closed SL's are permitted on the planets they act as steward for.
