Hiya folks,
Emma Van Kanne here. I’m looking for someone with a ship that may just happen to be carrying some cargo of a valuable nature that would be up for it potentially being looted? I say potentially, as that will all depend upon the story and whether I/anyone who wants to team up with me, succeeds. It’s going to be a very laid back adventure posting wise. I can’t commit to multiple posts a day, but I will try to keep up with whoever I’m writing with.
So what is it that is needed? At least one person with a ship. 2-3 people maximum per side seems like a decent number.

How big of a ship are you looking to loot? I have a couple different options running around. They come in either Ring or Courier. Rings are the ring section (obviously) of the Lucrehulks, while the couriers are modified GR75s.
As for the possible cargoes: You pretty much get your pick. The Rings range from bulk cargo (anything from raw to finished goods, civilian or military) (those wouldn't be too pricey, but you could fill your hold & run for the hills), To passenger liners (with many, many passengers. Ranging from cheap seating to luxurious staterooms. Think Titanic, but in space & not completely doomed). The Couriers have a slightly better range. Yes they come in the cargo & passenger (though shorter in-sector trips) versions as well. They also are more likely to be carrying cargoes that have to move quickly or are too valuable to fill an entire ring with (Secretive documents, rare prototype tech, straight up currency, metals & stones of value, etc).
Taking a ring, even for a short time, would a major challenge. But depending on the haul could be well worth it. Especially, it you bring along some cargo ships of your own to load up or find a particular wealthy passenger to ransom. The couriers would be an easier target to take out, but much harder to catch in the first place. Unfortunately, the payout from a courier is likely to be lower in total.

I be more than willing to join you while you plunder a ship. Bonus I come with a Wookiee sidekick.

Jack, that sounds good. Do you happen to also come with a ship as well? Or just the Wookiee?
As for the size of a ship? I had thought something kind of small, but going after one of the large rings might be good. What do you think Mr Morgan?

Ack I’m late aren’t I.
Well, if you would like, I have convoys of three of those imperial Gozanti-Class Cruisers and 6 Nssis Clawcraft that carry Kyber Crystals from Illum to Csilla. However, it is really out of the way to go there, and it is pretty much at the center of the First Order’s reach, so it’d be difficult to get there because of all the security that is in place between the edge of the First Order and the rest of the galaxy. Also, whenever the ships are out of hyperspace (basically at the end and start of the trip), they have a star destroyer and the accompanying fighters surrounding them. If you’d brave all of that, though, the reward would be quite substantial.

Well, the GR75 is not that big of a ship. Maybe 4-5 times the length of a medium freighter. Also, it would likely be easier to move the cargo from a knocked over GR75 & there are more of them flying around. The ring would be a rather large job as you would need a fair bit of muscle to pull it off. It isn't exactly a job for a small pirate crew, but I wasn't sure how much force you were packing.

We want something doable Vlusu. We’re not miracle workers And I guess the GR-75 would work. I mean, me and the Wookiee are quite the muscle. Jack is there for moral support...

Yes I do come with my own ship. I'm game for whatever ship you want to go after.

Awesome. So what kind of cargo are you looking to jack, Jack? (sorry, couldn't help myself)
Valuables? Intel? Wealthy passengers? Weapons? Collectable chia pets?

Maybe a combination of weapons, Valuables and some intel, also can't forget about the chia pets.

Sounds good. Shall we use your ship or mine? Or both?
Definitely with Jack as far as grabbing Valuables and Intel goes. Already got more than my fair share of weapons.

Don't know if you guys would be interested in it, but I've been looking for a reason to give Luxeria a new ship. While I like the ideas of it being used as a missile or even getting blown out of the sky, I'm up for anything. She herself most likely wouldn't have anything of real value on her ship outside of the A.I. unit integrated into the ship and a few personal items. Maybe the ship itself could be aimed for as a prize being a Lethisk-class armed freighter, especially being built for more luxurious and comfortable accommodations.
I say this as a possible rp if you guys want AFTER raiding the other ship since that is what you're actually looking for here.

Well, it is unlikely the cargo would be mixed like that. I could see valuables/weapons or valuables/data, but not all three. & bulk goods would be an entire cargo load by themselves, so no chia pets for you.
For the valuables, shall we go with Nova Crystals? They are pretty much a universal currency, pretty hard to trace, & fairly compact.
The weapons would likely be a grab bag of common (& less common) weapons for sale on the black market.
As for intel, it would likely be something along the likes of info on some nearby independent world or other. Most likely stuff that could be used for either another job later, or blackmail from highly placed people on the planet.

So after some time thinking about potential SL and rp, I think i came up with something that would work for everybody. Emma Van Kanne what if we are hired by Luxeria to steal her a new ship, and our payment for doing so is being able to take some of the cargo that will also be on board the ship about to be plundered. For example Jack would get a few crates of valuables and perhaps some weapon crates. (I know a guy who could sell them, or put them to good use.) We could use Luxeria's old ship as a way to board, we pretend that our "ship" is without power and perhaps The Admiralty OOC could send a ship to assist us/rescue us. We get aboard the ship that rescued us and set off to steal Luxeria's new ship and our payment. To leave the ship that "rescued" us we set off a bomb on Luxeria's old ship as a way to distract everyone else on board the ship. If you guys want to go a different route, I'm down for that as well, just thought that this would be a neat idea and could involve everyone who wanted to be apart of the rp.

Luxeria would actually set out to have a new ship built to her specifications. She comes from a rich family, so luxury and comfort is a must while now also finding the right approach to weapons, stealth, etc that would aid her in missions. She's also one, for strange reasons considering she's a Sith, pays for the things she wants if it can be bought. She also wouldn't hire anyone for jobs. She either goes it alone or is teamed up from someone with the Blackguard or someone the Blackguard hires. She is, however, capable of being hired herself for jobs.
Most of that still works, though, just change a few things around. If this job is planned, it could be that Jack and Emma find out that they need a little help and come across Luxeria, who opts to join, looking at the chance of getting a few items for herself. Nova crystals would be something she'd look, if only just a few. Maybe if there were any artifacts, she'd take a couple herself as well as she's not greedy or stingy, just a bit of a collector. But from there, setting off Luxeria's ship provided there was another ship to steal, or even Jack shows up after she's rescued due to an EMP burst goes off to disable the ship.

Well, the GR75s don't have crews. They are automated (included the defenses) & the automated systems wouldn't bother to stop for a distress call. Also, they wouldn't make much of a personal ship, at least not without the correct modular pod hooked up, since you can't control the ship from the cargo section.
If y'all were looking pickup/rescue type deal, it would probably be a Jehavey'ir-type Assault Ship. Anything else would either be too big, or have too much crew for a small group to take over reasonable. Problem there is they aren't cargo ships. They are warships. So weapons would be on hand, plus some sell-able goods & money. But likely not as much as would be on the cargo ship.

I’m certainly not looking for a ship take over. Just aiming for a hit and run escapade. Get in, grab some cargo, and get out.
Details I’m not too set in anything. But Emma has a spacesuit that would likely be able to sneak her by most sensors. Especially since signature wise she’d be more akin to a piece of space debris then something the defence guns would be looking to shoot at...
Alternatively, we could show up separately, and end up working together to loot the ship. We each want different loot for the most part, so no major conflicts of interest.
Could do something similar to the attempted plane heist in Spider-Man: homecoming. Sneak on board, then disable the defence systems before stealing some of the cargo.

Ya, the GRs aren't armed ... on the outside. ^.^
If y'all are really sneaky, the cargo pods on the GR is designed to pop out for quick exchange (is picturing the pirate crew attempted to sneak the entire cargo pod out of the ship without it noticing). Of course, you would still have to deal with the internal security. But that isn't so difficult when you control the stage.

I like going in as a team set to work together, though the idea of showing up separate. Say Lux goes in with Emma, letting her disembark when they’re close and use her suit to get aboard and secure landing. Once it’s clear, Jack can come in with his ship(also being back up should things not start off well, though it’s already been said the ships aren’t defend on the outside.)
Both land and the group can fight of the defenses however they need. And in an escape, the blow up Lux’s ship in order to secure their get away.
