She gave a pointed glance at Ronan, one of mild frustration, before looking to the Mirialan.
=Carrie= "He's got a request of us, it seems. Wants a ship. Fast, cargo space, small crew."
Equipment requisition wasn't what they were here to do. They were here to get Ronan out, that's all, get him out and then get him on task to defend other worlds. Ronan, apparently, had other ideas.
=Carrie= "I think he's planning on going to Yavin four."
What she made of that, she wasn't sure, yet. She wondered what Veren would think.

Veren blinked. Even retracted his hand from greeting Ronan.
" That's not your orders," Veren noted aloud. Were Jedi allowed to just disobey directives? Was that one of the perks of being a Space Knight with Magical Powers? The male operative was clearly perturbed by this idea.
" We can get a ship," he assured Carrie, his eyes narrowing a bit at the Jedi, " I've built up some contacts in the docking bays, in case we ever needed to give the Imperium the slip here. Might be something cheap we can call in a favor for. But, Master Jedi, I must strongly recommend against you returning the Yavin Four: the place is a fortress right now, you'd never make it through the blockade. Your orders are to defend the rest of the Galaxy: it's just one Moon. It's not important."

"You as well, Agent Eks.
He shook the man's hand, a firm grip. Releasing it, he turned to Carrie.
That's exactly what I intend to do. I know that moon. Intimately. I know the Praxeum is not equipped for a long-term siege. Nor are they well-enough supplied to survive one. They'll need essentials. Food. Water. Blaster packs. And I'm not about to sit back and watch that moon...watch my home go up in flames because we're too scared to run a Mando blockade.
"Dav's told the Republic to stay away and rightfully so."
He shrugged.
"But I'm not the Republic."

Veren sighed. He could certainly understand Ronan's desire to help his homeworld ... Or, at least, what amounted to his home within The Galaxy, but this was completely throwing out what the Jedi themselves had asked of the Jedi Admiral. The RIS Operative was not happy with the idea, not one bit, but ... He supposed he could sympathize. If anything ever happened to Mirial, he'd have been one of the first to return home to fight for his people and planet.
" S'pose we get you your ship, Master Jedi," Agent Eks asked, tilting his head at the male human inquisitively, " A Light Freighter would last approximately a picosecond against Mandalorian Guns. We'd never even reach the blockade line, let alone pierce it. As for the supplies, we have enough here to support myself and my fellow field operative," he motioned towards Carrie.
" But the scope of what you're talking about ... Where do you plan on getting all this equipment? I'll get you your ship if you're dead-set on this, but I'm not moving an inch unless you tell me what you've got going on up there. I'm not risking our cover just so you can get yourself vaped by a bunch of bucketheads."
Veren was clearly concerned, but no entirely opposed to the idea of seeing a bit of Jedi Heroism. He leaned back against the closest wall, his arms and feet crossing over one another. An encouraging thrust of his chin upwards was sent Ronan's way.
" Sell me on this idea, Master Starflare. Show me why they call you one of the best."

Several months ago he would not have appreciated Veren's concerns. But his time in the Imperium, his time as what amounted to a spy, had changed that. He understood, now, the effort and sheer amount of luck or trust in the Force or what-have-you required to pull off a simple espionage mission, much less one of the caliber that he and the two RIS agents were embedded in. He stood up straight and uncrossed his arms, motioning as he spoke.
"The supplies wouldn't have to come from you. I have a Star Destroyer in orbit that is loyal to me that came with me when I 'defected.' A Star Destroyer that is chock full of supplies like that. Like I said, all I need is a ship. Breaking a blockade with a single Star Destroyer is next to impossible. And given that these are Mandalorians, the difficulty level gets ratcheted up several notches.
"But here's where I have my advantage. I fly with Dragon Squadron, the most elite Force-using starfighter unit in the galaxy. And in the galaxy, there might be four people who know the Yavin system better than I do. Three of them are on that moon right now, and the other is Luke Skywalker. So, of all the people that the Republic or Jedi Order might be able to muster to even consider running that blockade, I am the obvious choice."
As people got older, bravado tended to influence them less and less. So it was a good thing what he had said was not bravado. It wasn't exaggeration or bravado or bold-faced lie. It was fact. Downright, one-hundred percent Force-strike-him-down fact.

Carrie's frown deepened. This was not what she had been expecting when she begun this mission.
But then, from what she had seen of the stubbornness of Jedi, she doubted either she or Veren could change Ronan's mind. And if what he said was true... well, then maybe he'd be able to get supplies to Yavin, and that could save lives. She looked to the Mirialan operative.
=Carrie= "Well, if we're going to do this, you'll need a few more people. I don't have any experience flying much of anything. I can manage a gun turret, but that's about it."
She frowned, pressing her lips tightly together.
=Carrie= "Dav said... something about another one of Yavin's Jedi. The one who warned Yavin, gave them notice enough to prepare some defences." Her frown deepened into one of deep concentration, as she searched for the name. "Joss? Something beginning with a jay..."

Veren sighed and finally relented after hearing Ronan's plan. He doubted he could stop the Jedi anyway: perhaps delay him a bit, but what good would that do? The defenders of Yavin IV needed assistance, and this blend of military officer and holy warrior was bound and determined to give it to them. He had to admire his bravery, the quiet tenacity with which he spoke. Ronan didn't seem to accept the fact that he might die on such a daring raid; No, he appeared to simply state what was going to happen, and then would take the steps to make it so.
Damn if they were not inspiring, these Jedi. Foolhardy, reckless, and perhaps a touch egotistical at times, but Veren had to note that they had earned that right millenia ago.
" Joshua," the Mirialan gently corrected his partner, tilting his head towards Ronan.
" Joshua. Does that name mean anything to you?"
A rather common given name, Veren supposed, but perhaps the Yavinite knew enough of the situation and the people of his moon to figure out who this particular Josh was. He didn't wait long for an answer, though.
" We'll assist and accompany you for as long as possible, as long as it doesn't compromise our position here. Newbie can't get captured on my watch," he chuckled softly, finally showing a bit of mirth since he stepped in the door, " And I can get you your ship. There's one a buddy of mine here has been refitting for awhile, an older one. Corellian model, a ... Why-Tee One Thousand, I believe. Not flashy or the best-of-the-best, but I'm assuming she'll get the job done."
His shoulders sagged a bit. Seemed like he was going to die fighting over a foreign jungle in some far, distant corner of the Galaxy. Such was life. He made a nod to Carrie.
" Grab what you need quick. Master Jedi, I assume you folk travel light anyway. I'll head down to the docking bays and get your ship ready for you: Bay Ninety Four. I'll see you there."
Veren snapped off a casual salute to Master Starflare, gave Carrie another encouraging look, and then made for the door. It locked quickly behind him, and the RIS Operative was gone.

He frowned. Joshua...had warned Yavin of their impending assault. They grew up so fast.
He shook off that notion. Joshua Kierra-Solo was a Jedi Knight now, and a good one at that. He truly had fallen into the footsteps of his father. He had never known Andru. Not really. He had been young at the time, not that he still wasn't. But he was still a teenager. Now he was a mid-thirties Jedi Master spy. Admiral. Thing.
He realized that that truly was the definition of a Jedi. They did literally everything. A team of all-arounders, Luke Skywalker had once said. It was remarkable just how often the man's descriptions were right.
"I know him, yes. I'll go and gather my things then. Docking Bay Ninety Four."
He offered the remaining RIS agent a two-fingered salute and left the room.
===============
He arrived back at his apartment, the lights kicking on as he entered the room, and immediately ran through a mental checklist of the things he would need. He walked to the bedroom, pulling open the closet doors and reaching down. There was a small metal pull-chain in the floor. He had insisted on manual everything in this apartment.
He pulled the chain, and the back wall of the closet opened to reveal his personal belongings. His Yavin uniform, a charging station for his lightsaber, and a suit of ORION armor.
"Orleanna?"
::Good evening, Admiral.::
"Pack it in. We're leaving."
::We've been deployed?::
"Recalled."
The light blue avatar of his shipboard A.I. pixelated into life on the holotank next to his bed.
::Sir?::
He turned to smile at her. "We're going home. I want you to start extraction protocols. Set the self-destruct timer on the suit for two hours after the front door closes. That should give us enough time to get off world."
::Aye.:: She fizzled out momentarily. As she did so, he reached into the closet and grabbed the utility belt off of the armor set and clamped it around his waist. Pulling the lightsaber from its charging dock, he hooked onto the belt at his left hip, holstering a blaster on his right. ::It's done, sir. With your permission, I'll instruct Captain Molinar to leave after your "assassination."::
He smiled. She was always thorough. Had gotten better as the years went on. The small woman came back, a questioning look on her face. "Yes, thank you, Orleanna. Then prep yourself for removal." She nodded and fizzled out again. Shortly thereafter, a small datacard ejected from the tank, and Ronan snatched as he left. He took one last look at his home for the past few months. It was far nicer than a spy deserved. But they had never known that. And they never would. And with that, he left.
===============
He arrived at bay 94 about twenty minutes later with that YT-1000 sitting in the slip. She wasn't beautiful. Not really. But in a way, it was. He'd always had a soft spot for Corellian ships. And given that this one was going to carry him home again, he fell in love with it on sight. He sent a pulse out through the Force to sound like a fist rapping on the underside of the ship, whose boardning ramp was still up, and waited for his humble hosts.

Veren came to join Ronan at his side in just a few short minutes, coming from outside the freighter. In his hand was a duffel bag that looked rather loaded: his outfit had not changed. He smiled softly when he caught the Jedi's attention, nodding towards the vessel that would bear them away from Imperium space.
" She's known as The Starblazer. Fitting name, I'd think, for what we're trying to do. An old smuggling ship that was repurposed to serve as a courier and merchant vessel. You'll notice the addition of the ventral gun turret; plenty of space still left on the inside too. Doesn't look like much."
The Starblazer could not have been described more aptly. Her Corellian Grey color scheme was in horrible need of being redone. Rust was showing at some points in the durasteel skin. It was still marked and scarred by laser fire from previous engagements, and the new owners had apparently decided it was cheaper to simply not scrub out the burns. The only thing that looked pristine on the entire ship was the canopy over the raised cockpit, which one could only assume had to be replaced for safety reasons.
" But she'll make point-nine past light speed. Quick enough to outrun most of your standard military ships, if it comes to that. My buddy was glad to have it taken off of his hands: the taxes and upkeep he was paying on it were worth far more than the freighter itself. She'll get us where we're going."
The Mirialan nodded in affirmation to himself on that fact: Corellian ships had a reputation of being stubborn s.o.b.'s. This one would be no different. Not all the time in the world could put a CEC engine out of commission. Or, at least, Agent Eks severely hoped that was true.
" Carrie will join us shortly. She'll have the intel on how to track down this Joshua of yours, then we'll head out."
Veren looked over at Ronan. Wondering what thoughts the Jedi might have, knowing he was on the verge of an expedition to save his home from nothing short of an apocalypse. What must that feel like?
" You ready for this, Master Jedi?"

"The Starblazer..."
The Mirialan was right. It was incredibly fitting given what this old freighter was going to do for them. It wasn't as modified as the Falcon. But it would have to do. Han Solo didn't owe him enough to let him borrow the Falcon. And the ship got prettier the more he looked at it.
"If she's not fast enough it'll be a real short trip. But I've got two advantages those bucketheads don't."
He smirked. That wasn't ego either. He would succeed. The Force would make it so.
"I am, Agent Eks. I've made contingency plans for situations like this. In fact, the longer Yavin is under blockade, the better. The Mandalorian war machine is not infinite. The more ships they have tied up in a blockade of a planet with no more than 100 people on it at a time is less ships they can use to interdict a planet with hundreds of millions of people.
"We'll run the blockade, drop the supplies, and hopefully be on our way back out again. We do have to prepare the defenses of other worlds. But we also have to construct a way to keep Yavin supplied long enough to justify the buckethead blockade in their own mind. And that gives us more time to convince the Republic to invest enough ships to not only break the blockade, but to destroy it."
He was intent. It might have been almost vengeful. He wasn't sure. It was a thin line he was walking between vengeance and the desire to attempt to teach the Mandalorians an old lesson they should have learned long ago: play with fire, get burned.
Mandalorians were notoriously thick-headed. They had lost most of the wars in which they had fought against Jedi. And they would lose another one. It was that simple.

With a sudden jerk, the ramp for the weathered looking freighter suddenly spurred itself into movement, dropping slowly to the ground. The last meter or so sounded a little like a struggle, but despite the noise, it rested perfectly well on the landing pad beneath the ship.
Before the ramp had even reached the deck, Carrie was upon it, calf-high boots the first to appear. She wore the same outfit that Ronan had first her seen her in, though her hair appeared slightly more ruffled, a sign of either some activity or sleeping. She held mug of something in her hand, hot enough that gentle wisps of steam curled off of the top of it. She offered them a small smile, and lifted the mug in a toast.
=Carrie= "Hope you don't mind me getting in ahead of you, but... well, you know how it is. Girl's gotta pick her bunk."
With that, she took a sip of the drink, which she seemed to consider for a moment, eyeing the cup suspiciously. Then, with a another delicate little smile, and apparent satisfaction as the drink met to her standards, she nodded.
=Carrie= "Caff prep facilities aren't bad. Not the best I've had, but far from the worst."
She stepped off the ramp, coming towards them.
=Carrie= "Do we have a plan yet?"

Veren's auburn eyebrows raised a bit at Carrie's question, leading to a shake of his head as he smiled at his younger counterpart in the business.
" That would be your call, Care," he informed her, somewhat disinterested in the status of the caf. He had always preferred tea over the bitter drink. Far more flavor, and far more sophisticated, in his opinion.
" You were the last one in contact with Joshua. Did he leave any idea as to where he might be? We need to find him as quickly as possible, especially if he's not on Yavin Four. Too many complications in that."
Force forbid that Josh had already been captured. The fact that he wasn't on the Jungle Moon when it first came under assault was a blessing, but that turn of luck could easily go down the drain if the circumstances behind the Jedi Knight knowing about the impending attack were due to his close proximity to Mandalorians at the time. If this truly was a Crusade, a Holy War, Agent Eks doubted that the Mandos would care where they found Force Users, and merely that they did.
But he was a Jedi. They could handle themselves.
He hoped.

Carrie blinked, looking between the two of them. Her call? Why was it - Oh. Joshua. Of course. She gave a small shrug.
=Carrie= "Well, I only know what Dav forwarded to me, the warning message from Joshua. Him and... someone called Syler or something... they were running from the Mandos. The message said they'd just left Algara, and were headed for Dressel. But that was... nearly a week ago now."
The small frown on her brow portrayed deep thought, and she gave a small shake of her head.
=Carrie= "But if they were running from Mandalorians, they might not have hung around there..."
She sighed, and looked down into her mug. Her mind raced, trying to think... where could Joshua have gone?
What would Dav do?
One word came back to her - Watchmen. Joshua had contacted the Jedi Watchmen because their communication routes were better than just about anyone elses. Perhaps they heard something?
=Carrie= "The... the Jedi Watchmen." She lifted her head to look at them. "Joshua contacted them because he knew they could get the message to Yavin. Maybe they have heard something?"
She looked between the two of them - at Veren, then to Ronan, then back to Veren.
=Carrie= "And the Watchmen were all going to meet up, plan their next move. Carida, I think."

He listened to the two RIS agents go back and forth. Saw the cogs spinning in Carrie's head. He processed the information himself and it seemed a logical plan. He didn't know a lot about the Watchmen. It wasn't really in his field. But they should be able to help.
He smiled at the young spy.
"Then I think we're going to Carida."
He walked toward the lowered ramp and boarded his ark home.

*He would his way through the corridors of the old Corellian transport before finding the cockpit cabin. It was pretty bog-standard, shaped near to every other YT-series freighter he'd been on in his thrity-something years. He found himself in the pilot's chair, on the port side of the cabin. The seat was old and worn and still had somebody else's butt-print in it, which was far larger than his own, and he sank down into it just a tad.
He began the pre-launch sequence for the ship as if he'd done it a thousand times before, despite having only seen the outside of the ship merely minutes ago. All these Corellian boats were the same on the inside. And they were all held together with willpower. It truly was his kind of ship.*
"Listen to that..."
*The ship whined to life underneath him before the engine spun up to that ever-familiar thrum. He smiled. This would be one for the ages. He could see that coming right now.
He pulled a series of levers, flipped several switches and punched a plethora of buttons, checking the readouts for a final pre-flight check. Seeing he was good to go, he called control, deepening his voice, and once he was cleared for liftoff, hauled ship away from Ravelin.*

Carrie was just settling herself into one of the rear seats as the ship's engines came to life, a small smile on her lips. She liked Ronan - liked his enthusiasm. Though he certainly appeared wearied, and definitely frustrated, there was something so simple, something she found so easy to identify with, in the enjoyment he took from the sound of the ship starting up.
Eight months earlier, when she had first met Dav, she'd thought the Jedi were... what were the words she used?
Out of touch, lofty mystics who sat around discussing 'the flow of galactic energy'.
She felt herself colour a little as she remembered that, and was momentarily grateful that neither of her two companions in this adventure were looking at her in that moment. She'd definitely gotten it all wrong. Dav had proved it right away; first by proving that all the stuff Jedi were said to be able to do was true, and secondly, by being far from a lofty mystic. He'd been a real sentient - arguably the most astounding she'd ever met, but he'd been real, none the less. He had feelings, he had faults, and he'd been just as concerned with her problems as she was. He'd helped her so much - more than that. He'd saved countless lives, right in front of her face, and he'd brought an end to an awful situation that had looked like it would go on forever. And each Jedi she'd met since then, in their own way, had proven themselves to be unique, selfless, and... well... heroic. Ronan was shaping up to be pretty impressive himself.
She turned to the side wall, deciding to make herself useful. As the old freighter tipped back and blasted from its berth, she begun punching instructions into the navigational computer for a journey to Carida. The computer pondered on the route for a bit, and then brought up a path; She'd let Ronan check it. Carrie was no expert on astrogation, a thought she held onto as she turned back to front.
=Carrie= "The jump to Carida is in the nav computer. I don't know how imaginative or particularly efficient a route it is, so... you might want to check it over. Should get us there in one piece, though."
She gave another smile.
=Carrie= "If you're happy with it, then I guess it's all yours. I don't see any real reason for us to hang around this planet any longer than necessary."

*His screen flashed the route from the navicomputer appeared on it. There really was no direct route to Carida from Bastion. You were better of to jump straight to jump straight to Bonadan and shoot down the Hydian way, then back up the Perlemian Trade Route. This one included stops at Borosk, Ord Mantell, Dorin, and Coruscant before taking a short jump from the capital to Carida. He delved down into the route, down into the navicomputer itself and checked its last update: nearly 20 years ago. Shaking his head he called for the update and the route quickly changed.*
"Much better."
*He reached back and strapped himself in, checking the calculations one last time as the ship pulled away from Bastion's gravity well. They were still good. He reached forward and threw the lever, rocketing them forward into the blue-white tunnel of hyperspace.*

Bastion, rich in it's Imperial history would once again be host to more history making choices. In one of the many buildings in the Capitol the Nicamadus look alike stands in front of a crowd of gathered dignitaries. All of them cut throats and warlords, when the war against the NOE decimated the Imperial armies all of them saw it as a sinking ship and jumped. All of them looking to carve out their own little slice of an empire. In the window behind Delvaradus the sun was setting making the sky a bright pink. It was almost beautiful. I want to thank everyone of you for coming. I know hearing from me was a shock but when your out of communication range and your ship is falling apart around you what can you do? I'm am upset that all of you would leave so soon, but that is not why we are here. the only one of you that did your jobs was Draco, Xeonons replacement. Had any of these people known the true Nica they would have been surprised at his lack of care towards Xeonon, the two were friends. However most would have been distracted by the anger seething through his voice to notice. No they would be more concerned by the Nova Troopers and Imperial Knights that lined the walls. Worrying if the order to fire on them would be given. Taking a pause to drink some of the amber liquid in front of him it was comical to look at the faces of the lesser moffs and warlords. Them being here was just extra luck. They controlled such small pockets of space that their opinions were going to be invalid. No he only had eyes for Palleon, Marcos and Tien (Krzesimir Viggo) (Marcos, LE-9615) (John Tien) We are here to talk about the future, I am not a dumb man, all of you have tasted power and it's something no one wants to give up. Things are changing though and we need to act fast if we are to survive.

Moff Tien's LAAT/i and Darkstar's TIE Phantom land in one of the many hanger bays in the capital city they each exit their respective craft, Moff Tien followed by two IG-110 Lightsaber Droids, and the four of them make their way to the meeting hall where the Imperial Warlords would be, once he arrives his two droids wait outside the door and only Darkstar enters with him, he then tries to spot Augustus Afansé, who he had left in charge of Thule while he was in the Unknown Regions, unfortunately he did not see him in the crowd

Nicademus gazed out the window upon the city of Ravelin. Many years ago, the Pentastar Alignment ruled the nearby systems of Bastion under the command of Ardus Kaine and fearsome Super Star Destroyer, Reaper. He was replaced by the rise of Gilad Pellaeon and the first Imperial Remnant. Time and time again, Bastion saw the rise and fall of Imperialist successor nations, all who sought to regain the glory days of the Empire and her prestige. Once more, Bastion would witness such events.
The Head of State's personal guard, consisting of Stormtroopers from the Imperial Elite Guard. Khommite Clones, highly trained and specialized in their role as his guard. They were positioned at the windows and entry points. Small patrols walked through the hallways ensuring the meeting area was secure. Outside, they marched in parade formation and kept a lookout. Discipline and order, great principles that were the legacy of the Galactic Empire. Nicademus glances behind him, noticing various members of the Imperial Remnant and Warlords gathering for this special meeting. His eyes scanning familiar and unfamiliar faces, how time had flown by. Many old faces were gone, but many new ones with great potential remained. Finally, his gaze rested upon the silent bodyguard nearby. A figure covered in a slick silver armor that stood quietly in the background. The figure stirred slightly as it looked around the room before going motionless once more.
Nicademus then turned his gaze outside to Ravelin once more, wondering when the representatives would arrive. And what future awaited them and the Imperial Remnant.
