A classified Shuttle arrived.
With a datapad and code cylinders in hand, a shadowy representative stalked down the loading ramp of the loading bay of the Bastion Imperial Museum.
A museum curator was there to meet him. He looked over the representative's datapad and confirmed the code cylindars. "Here's the manifest, and these containers are ready to go." The Curator pointed to a stack of containers in the loading bay.
The several containers containing rare manuscripts and odd personal possessions originally taken from Bilbringi 60 years ago, were loaded into the shuttle by several droids the Representative brought with him.
"One more thing..." The representative pulled up an additional screen on the datapad. "I have an additional order, for this." He showed the screen to the curator.
The curator read the order and his eyes widened. "That!? but that's-!" "The order is confirmed. I cannot leave without it." The representative calmly hushed the curator, who rushed off into the museum to get the item out of the secure vaults.
The Representative had to wait for nearly half an hour before the curator returned, still tutting. "I've never heard of such a thing, in ALL my days!" He was carrying a small lock box, that was handcuffed to the curator. He had an armed guard with him. The Curator approached the representative and took off the handcuff. The representative held out his arm and the curator handcuffed the lock box to the representative. "If you... You must... The box is opened with encrypted codes I have transmitted to your datapad. They can be decrypted with the code cylinder of the person that issued that order. Please protect the... item. It is most precious to the Empire!"
The representative said nothing, but nodded. The item was comparable to an imperial crown jewel: indispensable as a part of the imperial legacy.
Without any delay, the representative was once again aboard his shuttle and the ramp was raising. He contemplated the lockbox bound to his wrist as the shuttle raised into the sky and headed into orbit.

A new section of the museum was being opened on Ravelin, within the old Imperial Palace. This section was dedicated to more modern history towards the revived Imperialism and its roots within the Outer Rim. It was made to portray the reigning dynasty as savors and restorers of the 'Rightful Order', a coined phrase that was attached to the First Order, the Renewed Empire, and the Delvardus Dynasty. Those curious would find displays of weapons, armor, and uniforms. Depictions of battles during the Reclamation Wars, the Third Galactic Civil War, the Coreward Expansion, the Unknown Region Campaigns, and past the Sack of Mon Calamari. Even a copy of the Treaty of Manaan and the Treaty of Dac were on display, depicting the heightened status of the Imperials due to the efforts of their leadership and the prowess of their legions. All in the effort to ensure the continued glory of the Renewed Empire.

Standash had enjoyed her visit to the museum. She had been invited to open a new exhibit on "The Other Side of the Military" This lined up with her plans for the Humanitarian Fleet. Storm Troopers were the heroes of the First Order, fleets were providing security. The people should be reminded of this facts. Her speech went well, she smilled as she left. Children were playing Storm Troopers. This was as it should be. She stopped and gave them "official" TK numbers, and pins.

A month latter the recruiting offices had the best numbers they had ever had. Not just the navy, but the army and trooper corps were well above quota. The best applicants tagged for the more elite academies. Standash had put in a request that some of the best be left out and sent to regular training, and some that showed less potential be given a place at Carida. She wanted to give opportunities for those to prove assessments wrong.

The Imperial Palace had been closed off to the public for days in advanced of the ceremony that was set to take place there. Invites had been delivered to high ranking members within the First Order, from Generals and Admirals all the way to Moff's and Grand Moff's. They were to gather at the Imperial Palace upon Bastion, above which hung the Ars Moriendi Squadron, with the Ars Moriendi hanging prominently in the sky above. The main parade ground had been converted into a massive open air dining space, with tables and chairs littering the grounds, while a stage had been setup backdropped against Ravelin itself.
Imperial Intelligence was to be celebrated this night by the induction of several new members into its ranks. All that waited now, was for the guests to arrive and the Emperor to give a rousing speech...

As Grand Moff Kasalle arrived on Bastion from aboard her white Upsilon-class Command shuttle, she was lead by an officer alongside her Novatrooper escort towards the meeting point of the whole ceremony, wearing her white uniform in her position as Grand Admiral for the occasion. Considering for how long she had served now within the Imperial Navy it was her first time that she visited Bastion despite herself coming from Prakith, which was also quite close towards the Core. Yet the galaxy was a large place and there was always a first time for anything. Somewhat wondering if Lucien would be present on the meeting, she eventually arrived, stoic and with a cold look upon her face as usual.

Fiora, as a Princess of the First Order, had arrived to Bastion a day in advanced of the festivities. But unlike the rest of her family, she had not remained hidden away in the Palace as the guests arrived from across the Empire. Instead, she was down in the grounds as the first of the guests arrived. She knew the reputation the Knights of Ren had garnered among Imperials and the feelings that had developed as a side effect. To that end, she hoped her presence would help quell any disputes that might be had. While she did not expect an immediate peace between the Ren and the Imperials, she could be hopeful for a temporary truce.
Unlike her previous public appearances, Fiora was dressed in a dark grey suit similar to that worn by Neith Ren as opposed to the usual dresses she had worn or the female Officer's Uniform. Her long, flowing red hair hung freely and she kept a sweet smile as she looked around, observing the guests arriving and the final preparations the staff were making

Unlike the cheerful and hopeful outlook Fiora tried to project, Harnan stood in something of a stark contrast. He towered over her by a good 2 to 3 foot and was clad in his armour which he wore to just about anything. From the battlefield to these, what he considered, inane parties. The First Order seemed to hold them rather regularly, and he never found himself any more interested in or excited to be there. But as the Master of the Ren, and Fiora's trainer, he had to be there to represent his Order and because his student was bound by her position as Princess to attend. The rest of the Ren had been told it was their choice whether to attend or not, as Harnan was more than capable of dealing with the disgusted looks and derogatory comments alone. He preferred the others to focus upon their missions and training.
Harnan crossed his arms and continued to scan the crowd, noting those who were arriving and checking for any possible threats to the Princesses life

Standash arrives. She opted not to go with a dress like she had worn before, instead her pressed Grand Moff uniform. This one was a little lighter gray than normal. The tight fabric hugged her body in a tasteful way. The "skirt" portion was trimmed in an icy blue. Her hair was in a bun behind her head with silver, blue, and black crystal shards holding it in place. The glaciers on Carida were the inspiration for the look. Her Hapean bodyguard on the other hand wore a beautiful pencil dress, the fabric shimmered in the light from icy blue to white. The half cape had the same icy blue but the color phased to black instead of white as a contrast. The dress was beautiful, but on the near 7 foot tall muscular woman who was not used to this type of clothing, it felt awkward. The young woman had never been raised feeling she could be beautiful. She was an elite-trained soldier from the time she could read. Standash wanted someone she was connected with to look stunning tonight and wanted the gaurd to feel beautiful. She even loaned her jewels that had been placed on the woman's bald head. As they entered the grand room, Standash took quick note of everyone that was already present. She nodded and greeted many she had met before, and met those she hadn't yet.

It had been many months since Grand Marshal Thomas Zahn had last been seen in a public setting. He had been serving as the Grand Moff of the Kuat Oversector and then seemingly disappeared with Moff Standash Thul being recommended as his replacement. As far as the public was concerned, not much was known about what the Grand Marshal had been up to, but his fleet and armies had left Kuat and never returned. Some had speculated the Grand Marshal had fallen out of favour with the Emperor, others thought he had defected to the Corellian Coalition or the Solenbaran Diarchy, while other rumours persisted that he had been assassinated or killed in battle.
But any such rumours were dismissed as the TIE/es Assault Shuttle known as the Vindicta landed on one of the Palace Landing pads and the Grand Marshal descended the ramp in his usual Dark Grey Dress Uniform with his Grand Marshal insignia affixed on his left arm. He kept his head held high as he passed from the Landing pad down into the grounds and through the crowd that was forming there. He came by himself, with only a pistol hidden beneath his suit. Tonight would be a good time to reacquaint himself with the First Order after his extended mission.
He took a glass of wine from a passing server and caught a glimpse of Standash Thul, whom he gave a quick nod to from across the crowd between them.

A handful of cadets were brought to the party, as a reward and so they could see how events like this were secured. The Grand Moff, their escort, had insisted that they have fun and get to know people here. They were told that they were the future of the First Order, and to act as such. Cadet Commander Ecklund, felt out of place here. As a girl she had never even imagined a place like this, much less experienced anything like this. She was varry capable and when pressure was on, she could handle most anything. Here she had time to think, and in that, she was like most every 15 year old girl. She tried to remember the lessons she had with the Grand Moff, these only reminded her that she was overthinking more. She picked at the hem of the dress tunic nervously, longing for the comfort of her armor or even a combat suit. All of this nervousness was hidden behind a calm face and steady gaze. She smiled and nodded at people as they looked at her.

Post by Nicademus Delvardus IV on Jun 2, 2021 21:24:31 GMT -8
The first sign of the Emperor's presence was when the dark armored Stormtroopers of the Imperial Guard took up positions on one side of the immensely large conference room within the Palace where the Imperial Remnant and the Fel Emperors had ruled from. They took up their positions before a commander subtly keys that the room was secure for the Emperor's speech. Attention would be focused as Nicademus emerged from a side room, flanked by his brothers, Brock Ferrum and Baltasar Delvardus, along with several other notable high-ranking members. A general salute was made, greeting the Emperor with a unison cry of 'Ad Victoriam! Ad Gloriam!' that resounded through the hall. Nicademus quietly waved his hand in acknowledgement.
Gone were the days of youth upon the face of the Emperor. Today marked a thirtieth anniversary known as Renewal Day, the day in which Imperials celebrate the Renaissance of Imperial Culture that began with the formation of the Deep Core Remnant and evolved with the Empire today. It was the day in which Nicademus championed the Imperial cause through a show of skill and capability, earning him an election as Supreme Commander of the Imperial Military by the Imperial Remnants that were united within the Deep Core. It was a holiday as sacred and celebratory as Palpatine's proclaimed Empire Day.
Upon that day, thirty years ago, Nicademus was in his mid-twenties. A man in his youth and with great potential. Now, the male pressed towards his sixties. A seasoned commander, an experienced leader, a respected Emperor, and the founder of a new dynasty to rule the resurgent Empire. His bright orange hair was dulled by age with a few stripes of grey appearing within his well-kept mane of hair. His posture as stalwart and stern as ever. Age may have come, but the energy and vigor of before had refused to deteriorate. And this speech would show that the fire within his heart would never dull.
Citizens of the Empire!
His voice boomed across the hall, causing holo-drones to draw closer so that his speech could be viewed across the Empire.
What a glorious day we will celebrate today. The thirtieth anniversary upon which our future was renewed and our culture reborn! A day to be remembered as when the Imperial Military was reunified, her systems woven back together, and dissidents destroyed to ensure progress could be made once more. Today, upon this Renewal Day, we celebrate the zenith of our nation, the security of our systems, and wealth of our stars. All of which began upon the planet of Aargau, within the Deep Core.
The Emperor speaks, giving a rousing speech as ever done. Long ago, Nicademus never imagined charisma being a part of his personality. He never imagined that words could instill fervor and loyalty to the point that it could be frightening to their enemies. And all it took was finding his place in the galaxy to learn that there was more to him than he knew before.
We celebrate this day on Bastion, on Coruscant, on Muunilinst, Kuat, Aargau, and across the Empire. Not only for ourselves, but in honor of our past heroes, for our present ones, and for the ones to come in our bright future! And, one day, my son, Octavian, will celebrate with you. And his successor, and their successor, for generations to come.
With a fist raised, the Emperor bellowed.
For this Empire, that we have created and worked hard, together, to see flourish, shall stand strong and prosperous for generations to come! The banner of the First Order will remain a beacon of order and stability for the galaxy! We shall never return to the darkness before and will continue to move forward as a unified people, strong and defiant against all odds!
And with that, Nicademus spoke proudly.
Long live the Empire!
As a chorus of gathered persons applauded and shouted back, outside, a wing of TIEs had descended towards the surface from the Ars Moriendi orbiting above. Director Piett's project of reviving the 181st Imperial Wing was to make a grand display over Bastion as a new tool of propaganda and an elite squadron of the Imperial Navy.

It was good to see his younger siblings when Octavian arrived to Bastion well ahead of the event today. Remus and Yvaine were the children of his stepmother, Faina, and were growing up rather rapidly. It seemed that Yvaine was taking a liking towards technology, just as her missing aunt, Azria, had been a lover of the same field. Remus was a brawny boy who loved wrestling with his friends and was being trained martial arts by a well-known mentor. Both exhibited traits in the Force and would soon be joining the Imperial Knight education just as Octavian had five years ago. He was even happy to see his cousin, Amaris, his uncle Baltasar's daughter, who had graduated from the Imperial Youth and was now a cadet at the Corulag Academy.
Now, with the festivities underway, Octavian decided to be formal and opt out of his Knight's armor. Dressed in a crimson Imperial Officer's uniform, similar to the one worn by Isards of the Old Empire, the serious-looking Crown Prince walked among his fellow Imperials and spoke with them at length, prior to the speech. Among those present were some of his friend's parents and relatives. Nicademus had ensured that his children would have friends in high and low places. Such as Jin Song, who was invited, and was Fiora's close comrade and Amaris's squadmates who were invited as well. Octavian had met a few Imperial Knights who he considered comrades and even was finding similar people among the soldiers and the naval personnel. The Crown Prince greeted those known people kindly, doing what was to be expected of his rank and station. It was tiring though.
Thankfully, his father's speech had interrupted this hum-drum and allowed his voice to take a breather. However, as the speech ended, Octavian glanced and noticed Fiora just within arm's length. It had been a couple of years now. His seriousness altered and a rare smile appeared.Twenty credits says that Uncle Brock will be looking for the nearest drink after father releases him from his duties.Octavian states as he looks at Fiora Ren. Hopefully, the Ren hadn't changed her too much.

Fiora's attention had quickly turned from the growing crowd to the stage as her Father made his way out onto it and gave his opening address. Despite his ageing appearance, that even Fiora could not ignore, he was still as charismatic as ever. He truly believed in the dream and ideal that was the Empire. Anyone who listened to him speak could hear it in his voice, and it was what inspired the countless citizens of the Empire. When his speech was done, she felt a lingering presence nearby which drew her attention back down to the crowd and quickly caught sight of her twin sibling dressed in his crimson coloured Imperial Officer's Uniform.
She crossed her arms then and rolled her eyes, pretending not to have seen him as he greeted her not with a welcome, but a foolish wager. If there was one thing known about Brock, it was his prolific drinking habit and love of jerky. She let out a scoff Hello to you too brother! I know it's been so long since we last saw each other! Two years you say? Oh how the time has flown, hasn't it? How am I doing you ask? Oh that's so sweet of you... I've been doing fabulous over on Prakith, away from everyone that thinks the Ren are going to turn me into some wicked witch... No, it's been wonderful watching all of our childhood friends stop talking to me and having to cut myself off from our siblings and cousin... But no, I do think taking such a foolish bet against our Uncle's drinking habit is a much better conversation, don't you? She turned toward Octavian, facing him fully as she pressed a hand against Harnan's chest. She had sensed him tense up and the concern he had for her start to rise up. She sighed and offered a weak smile up at him It's fine master... She then turned her attention back to her twin, certain he had been taken a little by surprise at her sudden outburst. But if she was honest, he was the only person beside Jin that she could open up to. Though, the surface thoughts she could sense from him made her wonder just how long that would remain true I'm... Sorry... That was unfair of me to do that...

Standash had met the twins, and had spent time with them each. She had even taken Fiora on a month retreat the the mountains of Alderaan, she had gotten to know them rather well over the time. She had felt the rivalry between them and had always encouraged love to them. It was different to watch this all happen. She was close to them, sipping a beverage, watching. She noted Harnan's presence staying close to his charge. Others, she could feel were watching the situation between the royal twins unfold.

I'm... Sorry... That was unfair of me to do that... Octavian remained silent as Fiora went on a rant. Though the Ren training was a boon, there were losses elsewhere. He understood this.. pain. There were those who stopped speaking to him as well. Why? Because he was becoming an Imperial Knight. Because he was being fully trained and educated to, one day, inherit the throne. And, in their minds, they thought they were nothing but inconveniences. Those that remained, however, gained stronger bonds and showed their true colors. Octavian was not a means to an end, he was their friend and comrade.
It reminded him of a lesson by their father when they were younger. 'When you are at the top, you are most alone. People see that you are too far away and would rather cut the rope and return to where they are. Those that remain with you, no matter what, are greater than earning a thousand 'friends'.'
When Fiora finished, Octavian turns fully to look at his sister. She was different now, more trained as a Ren, but still her usual self. Those who left were not true friends then. They must have sought to gain something from you as a Princess, Sister. Sycophants and pretenders...Octavian shakes his head slightly as he turns to look at their father. As long as you have friends, like Jin, though, that's what always mattered. Isn't that what father always told us?He turns back to his sister and offers her a smile.Only true friends matter in life. Only true friends will add to you rather than take away.

She could not fault her brother's response. If she was honest, she hadn't really made as many friends as Octavian had during their youth. He was much more personable and social. She... tagged along and spoke with the other kids. But she never truly considered them a friend, especially not in the same way she considered Jin a friend. In truth, Jin was her only friend, not that it was a fact she was going to admit to her Brother.
She briefly glanced up towards their Father and then back to her Brother I don't think our Father ever truly grasped the disdain many have for the Ren... But... He was right that true friends who stand by you are the most important... She let out a sigh and crossed her arms, her gaze briefly passing across to where their siblings and cousin were located I just hope they do not hold it against me... How are they doing?

He heaved a sigh when Fiora had placed a hand upon his chest, sensing his agitation. There was a reason that Harnan had bided his time so long before taking Fiora into the Ren. He knew the heartache it would cause and the sacrifices it meant she would have to make. For many, it was not an issue. They had come from lives of betrayal and hurt. The sooner they separated themselves from their past identities, the better they were.
Fiora was the exception. Her friendship with Jin had certainly survived the transition, but there were many things in her life she had cut away, Regardless of what she said, he would bear the built of some of that pain she felt. He just had to make sure that the pain was worth it
The Mirialan Female known as Zanah Ren remained a few steps back and away from Harnan and Fiora. The Knight of Ren was clad in her gear which covered her body save for an opening which showed her eyes. Everything else about her was protected by an armoured suit with the First Order insignia on her right shoulder and the Ren's insignia upon her left shoulder. Zanah kept her attention upon the crowd, noting faces and names. While they were among friends, such a situation could change at any moment. Those pretending to be friends could quickly reveal themselves to be enemies. And Zanah was prepared for that eventuality.
As Fiora and Octavian seemed to quarrel, Zanah took note of those who turned to study the Twins. Her gaze taking note of Grand Moff Standash Thul. A woman that Fiora had mentioned having something of a bond with...

The Cadet walked around, trying not to be noticed by most people. She still felt super out of place. The only people she even recognized here were Standash and the handful of cadets that came with her. She did recognize the Emperor of course, but he was really it. She didn't pay to much attention Galactic politics, they were her job. She was here to lead troops and accomplish objectives to the best of her abilities. She didn't even recognize the twins as the prince and princess. She walked toward they only person she really knew, standing near the Grand Moff. She wasn't trying to eavesdrop on the conversation.
