Awesome, lets swing right into this
Round 1: Attack
Cruiser A (CA) attacks Star frigate 1 (Sf1)
Frigate B (FB) attacks Sf1
Frigate C (FC) attacks Sf1
Sf1 defense is Agility 3 (A3) + Defensive 4 (D4) + 1 (vs cruiser) & +2 (vs) frigates = 8 or 9
CA attack is A4+O4 = 8
FB attack is A3+O3 = 6
FC attack is A3+O3 = 6
Expected result:
Cruiser A brings down Sf1's shields, both frigates do 2 points of damage each

Frigate dodges or deflects all damage.
Round 3:
Sf1 has reached 0 in at least one stat & is disabled. Letter fleet is now free to destroy it, or board it to attempt capture.
Summery:
It is a bad idea to get into a fight were you are outnumbered three to one.
Also, we might need to look at the damage from multiple attackers &/or the size bonuses.
