Sighing heavily as though exasperated before replying, only the glimmer of amusement discernible to those, like Brock, who know her well enough to know that her sense of humor is, despite the habitually stoic demeanor that she most typically lapses into when it is the demands of her vocation that are paramount within her mind, alive and well despite appearances, Faina motions forward with an arm as though inviting Brock to take the lead, dryly advising him, "Be sure to follow your own advice while you are on point."
Having focused her training more on using the Force to augment her physical abilities than others, Faina pauses a moment before following Brock after he has set out, taking the time to summon the required levels of concentration and focus to gain a sense of whether any immediate dangers are laying in wait ahead of or around where they have landed. Once she is relatively certain that they are in no imminent peril, Faina begins to follow Brock, training and experience enabling her to choose her footing almost instinctively so that she makes as little noise as possible while she, due more to force of habit than any innate distrust of her Force sense oriented abilities, watches and listens intently to all that she can learn from their surroundings.
In the end, being that it soon becomes apparent that it is only First Order forces that are operating in the area, Faina finds her vigilance and stealth were both unnecessary when she and Brock learn that the First Order troops had spotted their shuttle as it landed, and had been monitoring their approach all the while. Once the First Order troops maintaining the perimeter line where Brock and she had approached have been greeted and assured of her and Brock's identities and security clearance levels, the Imperial Knights were led to the highest ranking of the Scout Troopers comprising the intel team they have come to meet with.
Nodding to thank the Scout Trooper that begins to lead them further within the perimeter, Faina turns and motions for Brock to take the lead once more, content to let him handle any of the talking sure to be coming up soon as he is both more sociable and, she is self aware enough to admit to herself, personable than she can often come across as unless one knows her well enough to see beyond mere comportment and demeanor alone.

Kortos groggily opened his eyes as he finally woke up strapped into his seat. He had spent years travelling the galaxy and training with the Jedi. In all that time, he had learned to catch a few moments of sleep whilst strapped in and sitting upright. And while Brock's piloting had been a little rough, Kortos had experienced far worse during crash landings. By comparison, today was a rather smooth take off and landing.
He unbuckled himself then, rising to his full height as he looked around. Unsurprisingly, Brock and Faina had already departed from the transport. Leaving him to root around the bay for his helmet before he could catch up with them. He found the smooth red item a few moments later and slid it on. His Visor and HUD activating a few moments later as he checked his waist for his lightsabers. Both of which were firmly clipped in to place.
With that done, he made his way down out of the transport and off into the jungle. His HUD showing up a way point where he should find the advance team, along with his fellow Imperial Knights. Both of whom he would be studying intently, since they were the ones taking the lead on this mission. He was here to observe and only intervene when absolutely necessary

Seth made his way to the Knights and after a quick salute he began his part of the report handing of a data pad with images his men had taken of the fortress and compiled.
From what it looks like outside, it'll be a tough bunker to bust, but with some well placed heavy explosives we can crack that wall. Major Drax has more intel on the interior of the Fortress. I do believe he had mentioned an escape rout out which could be useful.

In contrast to Faina's stealth and sensibilities Brock made his way through the wilderness like a rancor through a electronic's store. Pushing aside foliage and repulsing local animals with the force, and generally making hims location obvious to anyone even remotely looking for it. It wasn't that Brock was incapable of stealth but it just wasn't his style. Besides he knew that Faina had his back if anything did suddenly attack them and he'd rather be the bait that springs the trap than to leave the trap unsprung. After the initial scout trooper inspection and information he notices his friend's motion to take point, unconsciously taking a few steps in front of her so that he was the first in line after the scout commander. After a few moments they were brought to a large camp table where an Imperial Commando in black armor was talking with a few locals and some of the scout troopers pointing at various locations on an electronic map embedded into the table. As they arrive and he looks up at the Imperial Knights, his too white teeth spread into an ingenuous smile, Brock instantly takes a disliking to the man. His force presense as well as the look on his face as he closely studied the group, were definitely marks of a predator, and not the good kind. He was not the sort of intel Agent Brock would prefer to work with, but he had an assignment and he'd do what he he came here for, even if it meant working with a man like Drax. Turning to the scout commander he makes a quick request to the man There is another Imperial Knight who should be joining us shortly, if you could bring him here when he arrives we would greatly appreciate it.
Turning back to the assembled group he makes his way toward them and crosses his arms in front of his white and gold armored breastplate and adopting a jovial smile, even if it didn't fully reach his eyes. Did someone call for some Imperial Knights?

Major Caster Drax was busy going over the intel they had gathered with a pair of local guides and some of Lt. Gentry's men when he looked up to see a pair of Imperial Knights making their way towards his group. He smiled politely enough but he couldn't quite mean it, he was after all disappointed that the Imperial Knights were to be given this task even when he knew his men could do it better, but orders were orders and apparently these ones had come from the Emperor himself. He does not recognize the first knight or his annoyingly arrogant face but there was no mistaking his companion, the Grandmaster of the Imperial Knights herself. That was interesting, he hadn't been told she would be coming. More interesting was the fact that she was letting this buffoon do the talking for her, maybe he as her apprentice or something and needed to learn to talk to real people. In any case he decided it was best to answer the idiot's questions. I had no desire to call you but orders are orders, and I suppose they thought my men were too valuable to risk on something like this so they decided to call for someone a bit more expendable. Yes antagonizing Imperial Knights, and possibly the grandmaster herself wasn't exactly a great idea, but this prick was getting on the major's nerves and he decided he need to be knocked down a peg. Reaching into his pocket he tosses a datachip to the man in ridiculous armor and addresses him dismissively, looking back down at the map as he did. Everything we have on the fortress layout is in there, just remember to call us before you get yourselves killed so we can come in and clean up your mess, we'll be waiting. He smiles with his too white teeth once again as he sends a wink to the grandmaster, he couldn't resist impressing women by putting down idiot men and proving himself a much better catch.

Instead of rising to the other man's bait Brock catches the datacard in his left hand and gives the Major an exaduartedly formal salute and responds with his most sarcastically obedient voice. Yes sir! Thank you sir, well be sure to do that sir. With a very precise about face he turns back to Faina, missing the wink, and makes a gagging face at her obviously expressing his dislike of the Intel officer before handing the card out to her. I don't think he likes me very much. He can't help but laugh a little. I suppose we get to decide on our own best approach.

True to her word, Faina refrains from contributing anything save for a respectful, appreciative nod to Seth after the Scout Trooper has made his report, and, later, a stiffly formal nod to Drax after the Major has essentially dismissed her and Brock.
Waiting until they are out of earshot, Faina suppresses a shiver of revulsion as she dryly opines, "I would take it as a compliment of the highest order that he does not like you, in all honesty. Not wanting to permit Drax to occupy her thoughts any longer than necessary, Faina turns to scan the area to check on whether Kortos has caught up with them as she suggests, We could do that, yes, or we could ask Lieutenant Gentry if he has any thoughts on the matter. He and his men did an admirable bit of recon, and therefore may have already determined the more favorable avenues of approach. Almost, but not quite allowing herself a subtly amused faint smile, Faina quips, He, unlike the Major, might even want us to succeed in the endeavor rather than fail spectacularly."

Brock can't help but laugh a little at Faina's comments about the major, although he couldn't agree more about taking his dislike as a compliment. He also looks around for Kortos before feeling the other man's presence a little way off yet, boy that guy could sleep through just about anything. Turning back to Faina as she suggests the Lieutenant he smiles. That sounds like a pretty good idea, he at least to be semi-human and not just full blood creep. Brock lets out his usual deep laugh once again. We can ask him about it when he brings sleeping beauty over to us. He hadn't intended to leave the other man behind, but he'd been so busy talking with Faina that he had forgotten to check the passenger compartment for him. Maybe they could just chalk it up to a lesson in time management. Smiling at the though he turns back to Faina and takes a deep breath of the fresh air, taking in the smell of the outdoors. Brings back memories doesn't it? Though the two of them had never been to Dathomir before they had had been on dozens of missions together in similar environments back when they had been newly partnered Imperial Knights.

Faina, though her expression remains as stoic as it most often does, emits a soft, quiet noise that is almost certainly a brief chuckle when Brock christens Kortos "Sleeping Beauty", almost positive that she will never be able to think of Kortos as anything else from now on. Nodding, her eyes distant for a moment as she recalls some of the other swamp or forest worlds that she and Brock have visited during their tenure as Imperial Knights, and remembers some of the many experiences - good and bad - that they shared on those distant worlds. Not wanting to allow her focus to drift from their mission for long, Faina shakes her head, visibly bringing herself completely into the mode of intently watchful readiness that has allowed her survive for as long as she has. Dryly as ever, Faina suggests that Brock keep his, "Mind on the present. We can reminisce about the past once we have added killing a despot to our list of accomplishments."
Holding out a hand and waggling her fingers, their long experience together enabling Brock to correctly ascertain her meaning without the need for extraneous words even though he will undoubtedly employ enough extraneous words for them both before long, Faina accepts the datacard that the Major had provided them with, plugging it into her datapad so that she can review the information they have been given about the fortress layout while they wait for Sleeping Beauty to join them.
Handing the datapad over to Brock after she has reviewed the contents so that he can do so himself, Faina compulsively curls and flexes the prosthetic fingers of her left hand as she takes a few steps away to avoid distracting him.

Brock can't help but smile a little as Faina gently chastises him for his focus. She could be so serious sometimes, but it had always been a good counterpoint to his own occasionally overly casual manner, and it had served them both well over the years. Moving his concentration away from his thoughts about his friend he pulls a piece of self-made nerf jerky out of his belt pouch and idly begins chewing on the slightly spicy meat as he goes over the plans. They were very detailed, including a few different entry points that might make for good subtle entrances. He begrudgingly gave the Major credit, he may be an ass but he knew how to do his job, still Brock wouldn't give him any more than a minor credit for that one.
After studying the layout as thoroughly as possible he makes his way back to Faina's side and hands her datapad back before offering out a second piece of jerky for her. Looks like there is a secret pass that leads to a secluded valley that might be our best way to enter undetected. He puts a little scorn in that last word, perpetuating the less than subtle stereotype he's cultivated for himself. He knew Faina would recognize his overconfident reckless attitude for the act that it was, but it was habitual enough to be just as much a part of him as anything else. He was perfectly content to do things the quiet subtle way, even if it wasn't always his first choice.

"Undetected, Faina muses aloud without any hint of teasing in her tone even though, Brock will recognize from the slightest upward tilt of the left corner of her lips, she is doing just that, as she takes the datapad from Brock and returns it to its pouch on her belt before taking the offered jerky, is usually a good way to start when, given what we are here to do almost certainly requires that we become detected before we are through with what we are here to do, we are not likely to remain undetected for long. Reaching over to pat Brock's shoulder, Faina takes a bite of the jerky and then dryly says as though reassuring him instead of continuing to tease him in the uniquely dry way that she always has teased him ever since he managed to get her to lower the formidable barriers she keeps up with most others, I am quite sure that you will have more than one opportunity to be brash, unsubtle, loud, and quite obvious before we are through with what we are here to do, aren't you?"

Brock smiles, instantly recognizing her particular brand of teasing. He drops the smile though as though listening the incredibly serious advice, nodding his head slowly as she speaks, as if taking in every word as gold. Then he ruins the effect by tossing the rest of his piece of jerky in his mouth and responding with his mouth full. Well I should hope so, I was beginning to think that this mission would be no fun at all with all these detailed maps and good ways in. I thought we may end up doing this silently and with as little obviousness as possible. He can't keep his face straight and starts to choke a little as his laughing interferes with the food and he very unattractively spits the coughed up meat off to the side as he regains his breath. You always did tell me not to talk with my mouth full.

Not fooled at all by Brock's imitation of listening intently to what she has to say, Faina lifts a hand and then begins putting up one finger after another as, silently counting down to the inevitable joke she knows is almost certainly coming when Brock begins to speak.
Doing her best not to laugh when Brock nearly chokes, nearly succeeding in not doing so, Faina moves beside him to pat his back helpfully and, after he has unceremoniously spit the jerky that, along with his joke, nearly cost him his life, says in a mournful tone, "And, yet, you always did ignore that, along with all of my other rather sensible and often startlingly brilliant advice. I keep hoping that one day you will learn, she continues while casting her eyes upwards as though imploring the Force or whatever other powers there might be on high to implore on her friend's behalf, and yet . . ." she trails off, motioning at the unappealing bit of half chewed jerky laying near their feet as though it is as good an end to her thought as any.

And some people think the Imperial Knight Grandmaster has no sense of humor. Nodding as if her advise was the words of the gods Brock hangs his head as if in shame and then speaks in an exaggeratedly adoring voice. Oh great Grandmaster if only I could always do as you would, and follow your sacred ways, alas there is too much humor in these poor bones to truly follow in the path of one so stoic as yourself. One who would never stoop so low as the mock one of the lowest of her humble servants. I beseech you please, feed me lemons until my face is able to understand that sour expression of yours and give me paperwork for the rest of my existence so I may lose all the humor I have and become your willing slave who's only existence is to do your bidding. He drops to one knee, pulling another piece of fresh jerky out for his pouch and offering it up with both hands as if a sacrifice to appease an ancient god. Please teach me your ways oh greatest of the order, I must know how to become one of the worthy.

Watching Brock's antics with an expression every bit as stoic and immobile as one might imagine an ancient god to have when watching the antics of lesser beings, Faina shakes her head as though pityingly when he has concluded his theatrical bit of playful pleading, lifting a hand as though to refuse the offered jerky as she says in a tone laced with deep sadness, "Alas, there are neither lemons nor paperwork enough in all the vastness of the universe to effect such a change in one such as yourself. Crossing her arms over her chest as though to close the subject, Faina looks away from Brock as she says in a theatrically final tone, I am afraid worthiness will ever be beyond one such as you," punctuating the playful pronouncement with a slow, sad nod of her head before finally allowing herself to laugh.
Lifting her hands as though to plead for Brock to desist in his efforts to make light of the situation even though it is already a bit late for that, Faina says, "Enough of that now. Looking around with theatrical furtiveness as though truly afraid of being overheard or seen allowing her usual composure to slip enough that the woman beneath the armor and title is revealed somewhat, she jokes in an equally theatrical whisper, I have an image to maintain."

Brock laughs along with Faina as she finally cracks, rising to his feet as he does so and taking a bite out of the previously offered jerky as the laughter fades but the smile remains. His goal was complete, he had made a dent in Faina's extra stoic personal armor. It was something he had learned to do years ago, but he still felt a deep sense of satisfaction anytime he made it happen. It seems she laughs even less than normal these days and so he took a little extra pleasuring the sound as she stage whispered about her image. He knew that she indeed did have one, although more or less it was earned, she really was serious and stern most times, he had just stopped letter her be that way around him ages ago. Flashing a deeper smile back to he leans in close as if to whisper back and then speaks in a slightly louder than normal voice instead. Don't worry your secret is safe with me Grandmaster In addition to the crisp and formal pronunciation of her title he straightens up to perfect attention and then gives a deep formal bow to his friend, far more formal than he'd ever seriously use with anyone.

Seth took his leave of the Knights when they gave him the out to find their friend and bring him to them. Greeting Kortos in much the same way he had the first two, the Scout Trooper would then lead the Knight to his friends. Where he would remain awaiting new orders silently, save for relaying his own orders to his men.

Faina smiles briefly when Brock assures her that her secret is safe, and then adopts her more customarily stoic demeanor when Lieutenant Gentry arrives with Kortos in tow. Nodding a greeting to Kortos, Faina turns her attention to the Biker Scout, "You mentioned cracking the wall with explosives earlier, Lieutenant? I trust that your squad has them available? Loathe as she is to put the Scout or his squadron in danger, Faina has learned to rely on the expertise of the First Order's various military units in the past, and trusts that Gentry and his squad were chosen for their assignment due to having demonstrated their capabilities on past assignments. Their surveillance of the target having no doubt afforded the Biker Scouts with insight into how best to reach it undetected, Faina feels it would be foolish not to make use of what they have learned, and so, in a tone that makes it evident that she is making a request rather than issuing an order, asks, Would you and your squad be able to get us to the target undetected, Lieutenant?"

Kortos managed to trek his way through the jungle, greeting Seth with a short nod of his head. He listened in silent contemplation as the Scout Trooper relayed the intel that had been gathered thus far. The Galactic Alliance forces seemed like they were dug in pretty securely. But with the aide of the Witch Clans, such security would be proven false.
Kortos bore no great love for the Shapers of Kro Var. Although they had sided with the Alliance and appeared as noble people, their practices always seemed rather off. Worshipping and manipulating spirits of nature never sat right with Kortos. It seemed only right to remove such a powerful being from the Galaxy and the Alliance.
As he arrived to where Faina and Brock were, he stopped and gave them both a bow. The pair having been in deep discussion and planning as they waited for him to arrive I hope I didn't make you wait too long...

Surprised that he was being asked and not ordered by the Knight, it took Seth a moment to respond to the question.
Yes, we've found some routs with a good amount of foliage cover. As long as you aren't worried about getting dirty.
The armor of his men and himself were all solidly caked in mud from their treks through the brush and forests.
