Having fallen deep into meditation with Mark Shadows Sorrows by her side, Kalli sensed the comings and goings of new life within the gardens. At first, she held her focus on the task at hand and waited for the young student to sink back down into meditation as well. Soon enough, though, she was drawn back into the present by the exciting squeals of children approaching, paired by two voices she didn’t recognize. One, however, she did. Although she was reluctant to leave Mark’s side, the sound of all those unfamiliar voices could only mean one thing -- new arrivals. Kalli smiled to herself. She was sure that Alexia was doing superbly, as the young woman exuded a natural sense of serenity and warmth from what she had seen. With Master Calmcacil out on a mission, however, she felt compelled to meet with new arrivals personally.“I want you to meet me here at this spot tomorrow, Mark. We’ll continue with the next lesson then.” Offering a farewell smile towards the young one, Kalli stood to her feet and returned to the natural pathways carved within the gardens. With Alexia’s party heading her way, she stopped to greet the young knight and the new arrivals with a quiet smile, her eyes meeting each one, including the children, momentarily before finding the next."Alexia, I heard your voice, and I was almost certain that Vivikayl would have been with you and your entourage," she laughed. Looking up towards the Lemep family and Achiira, she introduced herself, "I don't believe we've met. My name is Kalli Caelum Starflight, a Master here at the Temple." Mark simply nodded, as he had gone into a bit of a meditation himself. His mother’s song began to ring in his head again, but softly this time. It was as if it was helping him to meditate. But before the boy knew it, he had nodded right off to sleep with his head hanging down as he lay sprawled against the big red Felucian plant.

Quietly- far too quiet for a creature of his size, Carlos carefully crossed over a near by wall- stopping quite often to sniff something. A long time had passed sense the albino Acklay wondered among people, but the gentle beast recently came down with a bout of terrible loneliness. This time, when he arrived at what once was a familiar place- everything was different, bigger. Nothing was where it use to be! This not only confused the Acklay, it made him uneasy and worried. What if the people here wouldn't like him like the other people use to? More so, what if they didn't feed him!
He was rather hungry... But the only things around were people- and plants, and Carlos didn't eat people or plants.
His careful crossing soon changed to clumsy clambering, as a misstep sent his front claw stabbing through a carefully manicured bush and his right claw knocked over a low table near the edge of the gardens. Tumbling to the ground- the large creature attempted to skitter backwards, wedging into the bushes lining a stone wall. Maybe no one would see his large clawed appendages jutting out from the foliage. Maybe they wouldn't notice his long, almost prismatic light green head and big black eyes surveying the area.
Or maybe they would.... And maybe they would bring him food!

*The adjustment from living in the wild to living in the Temple was almost as difficult for Morgan as it was for Roma. She at least knew everything she was getting into, sure, and many things came back to her natural, but even the familiar things were occasionally a struggle after living separate from them for ten years.
One thing that was very familiar to her, however, needed no adjustment. The young adult mother eagerly led her small child towards the gardens, making a small detour on the way. Roma asked her why they had to stop and grab some food in a bag, but was only told "you'll see." And when she laid eyes on the large white acklay in the gardens, her eyes widened and she gasped, looking around for the quickest means of escape.*
"Roma, it's fine!" *Morgan said, unslinging the bag as she approached, a big grin on her face from ear-to-ear.* "Watch. Carlos!" *She took off at a dash, her older appearance at odds with the almost childlike excitement she exhibited as she ran to meet her old friend.*

Carlos jerked his head toward the sound, blinking and fixating his eyes on the running woman. If he had of been any other Acklay, he might have made some move of aggression- but Carlos, at least for a long time, had never really been attacked by a human. Sure people had run from him, but generally those that ran toward him were bringing him food.
And this person was, because he could smell it.
So he really didn't care how old she was.
Lowering his big disk shaped head, a rippling purr came from his throat as he scooched closer to her- with his clawed feet. He wasn't going to stand all the way up just yet, because obviously that would bring him out of reach of food- and there was a smaller human with the food bringer. And she looked like someone he knew- so, he gave a special look at the little girl. He wanted to nose bump her, but he wanted food more.

*Morgan grinned, laughing happily as he approached. She put a hand up and gently patted his snout.* "I missed you, Carlos, but..." *Hefting up the sack of food, she smirked.* "You seem preoccupied." *Reaching inside, she pulled out a slab of meat and tossed it up in reach of his jaws.
All the while, Roma watched from a distance away, in awe at how easily Mama just tamed an acklay. At least, that's how it appeared from her point of view.*

Once Morgan's hand touched his smooth scaley skin, he realized who she was. He purred again, pushing his head into her hand. As soon as she produced the meet though, he tightened, reaching up and snapping the meet out of the air. He tossed it back in his throat and gave a few snaps of his massive jaws before sighing in happiness. Lowering his head back down, he gave Morgan a gentle nose bump. So...if that was Morgan, who was the smaller human.
Carlos curiously snaked his neck around to see the younger human, choosing now - probably not a good time- to finally stand up to his full height. His large claws stabbed into the ground, hefting him up again.

*Roma gasped and took a step back as he stood up; he was so much bigger than any other acklay she had other seen! Even when Mama tried to wave her over and calm her down, she remained still for several moments before cautiously taking a few steps forward until she was finally standing beside her mother.
Grinning and taking her hand, Morgan said,* "Roma, this is Carlos. He's a friend, you don't have to worry." *She looked back up at Carlos.* "It's been a long time, Carlos. I'm a Mama now! This is Roma."

Carlos trilled as Morgan called him by his name again. He really liked his name. As the young girl came closer and closer to her mother, the acklay tracked her with his eyes, until she stopped. Maybe she wouldn't run away from him like other smaller humans---- and some bigger ones....
Adjusting his legs a little, Carlos lowered his head and attempted to gently nose bump the girl, Like he had her mother just now- and so many years ago. He was happy he had found friends who weren't afraid of him, and he could trust- and would give him food...

*The acklay started to move again. Before Roma could retreat, Mama put a hand on her shoulder, assuring her it was okay. He came closer and closer, his head growing bigger and bigger. She'd never seen one this close before! It was equal parts fascinating and terrifying... and then he... nuzzled her? At least, what an acklay may have considered nuzzling. It almost knocked Roma off her feet but Mama steadied her, giggling.*
"He likes you, Roma," *she said.
The... acklay liked her. That was good, right? Well, of course it was good! She started to smile, albeit nervously, as Mama opened the food sack in front of her.*
"Here," *she instructed, removing a piece of meat and handing it to her.* "Throw it up as high as you can!"
*She accepted the meat nervously, looking at it, then at "Carlos." She gulped, then lobbed the slab as high up into the air as she could throw.*

To the child, the experience of a massive Acilay nose bumping you might be terrifying- but to Carlos, it was a very simple action. He might have considered moving a bit more slowly or considering Roma's fears-
But then Morgan brought out more food...
As Roma tossed the meat up in the air, Carlos happily snapped it down with quick jerky movements. He rather liked this game. Letting out a few happy chirps (Which were acklay sized chirps so they were probably loud) Carlos happily stabbed his front claws into the ground, throwing his head back down to the two and pushing the bag eagerly with his nose.
He really wasn't considering Roma's feelings right now..

*Morgan watched Roma throughout the experience, glad the girl started seeming more at ease around Carlos if not still a little on edge. She hadn't exactly had time to tame any acklays in the wild; protecting and fending for her child took priority. At least with Carlos, the work was already done... and his apparent happiness seemed to go miles to making Roma a bit more endeared to the beast.
But he was still clearly quite hungry, so, with a laugh, Morgan said,* "Alright, alright, here you go!" *and used the Force to levitate the remaining food from the bag and out into the air, right within reach of his jaws.*

Carlos watched Morgan with keen eyes as she lifted the food into the air with the force. Eagerly, the Acklay snapped up each piece and tossed them down rather quickly before lowering his head with a low rumbling purr of satisfaction. He gently pressed his nose against Morgan again, clearly happy to have found friends.
It really wasn't just luck that brought the creature to the base- rather, a certain Felucian tribe who had decided the Albino acklay was some trophy that HAD to be hunted. As Carlos turned to give the new gardens a good look, The two would be able to see several scars against his side from his many run-ins with hopeful hunters. The obvious place to go to for safety was here- even if it was different. And once Morgan and Roma showed him such kindness, he knew he'd made the right decision.
Turning his head about, he figured he might as well get a better look at the place. Maybe Morgan or the little one would like to come along. Memories from several years ago of humans setting atop his back, prompted the beast to lower himself down and look at them expectantly. .

*Morgan's smile had not faltered one bit since she had entered the gardens until she did in fact notice the scars. It fell briefly, scowling as she stepped forward and reached up to trail her hand along a scar.* "What'd they do to you, boy?"
*Roma stepped forward as well, her mother's concern having an effect on her. Carlos, for his part, didn't seem bothered, instead customarily inviting them for a ride. Roma, not understanding the gesture, backed away in surprise, but Morgan smiled again and took her hand.* "Come on up, it's fine!" *It took some coaxing, but she climbed up along with her, sitting on her mother's lap. Giggling, Morgan stroked her ponytail and said,* "You weren't this nervous with the skybeast..."
*She pouted.* "It was dead. ... and not even alive."
*To anyone else that might have seemed redundant, but Morgan just laughed and patted the base of Carlos's neck.* "So where are we off to?"

Carlos let out a low rumble when Morgan trailed her hand along his scars.
He waited as still as possible as Morgan and the hesitant Roma climbed onto his back. Once he was sure they were secure, he started off at a slow, inquisitive pace- stopping every so often to sniff something. He kept glancing back at Morgan, as if she might tell him why everything was so different.
One step at a time- probably poking holes in the manicured lawns, they made their roundabout way throughout the gardens. While Carlos was careful not to run into anything or anybody- a large Acilay with people on top of him was bound to draw attention from those meditating or walking throughout the place.

A slow walk that lasted 30 minutes had suddenly changed from silence to mildly busy, as Padawans walked pace-fully through the temple no doubt on their way to lessons, smiling at Achiira as they passed by, and Masters aiding in keeping them on time, or maybe making sure Viv wasn't around to make mischief. Achiira smiled at the thought. She now stood outside the entrance to the gardens, noticing very few people within, wondering whether she would run into Knight's Alexia and Viv or Master Starflight. As she entered, the energy of the garden swarmed her, the force feeling very much alive and almost tidal, moving in and then out of the body. The burble of the waterfalls sounded just as enticing as yesterday, as she moved passed them taking a slow walk around.

"How much of the Temple have you already gotten a chance to see, Atuna?" Kalli led Atuna Davinari Lemep and his son Titus into the closest entrance to the gardens from the residential towers. Situated at the Temple's center, it was like a glorious hub of life sprouting at the heart on the Jedi's haven. The Master Jedi's attention betrayed her as she brushed past flora used within the Coruscant Temple's gardens in homage to her fallen home. These, though, were far grander than even the beauty of the Coruscant Temple."And I never did get a chance to hear about your favorite flower, Titus. Your sister seemed to like the fungus, but what about you?" However, her attention was split. Between her own admiration of the gardens as though seeing it for the first time herself, to keeping up a conversation with Atuna and Titus, Kalli also attempted to keep her eyes peeled for Achiira Taan. A faint tugging guided her footsteps, though. The padawan was here, just as she had hoped.

"I dunno."
"See anything you like?"
"Lots of plants, I guess."
Atuna gently placed both his hands on Titus' shoulders, steadying them both. It didn't take long for Titus to begin rocking under the pressure of the massage Atuna began applying to his back, but his face remained unchanged from the same bored, empty grimace the child seemed to carry incessantly. Atuna's chest lifted ever so slightly in a small, inaudible laugh.
"Favorites are hard when everything looks like a big, gray mass at a distance."
"Mm."
"As beautiful as nature is as a concept, when you lack perception of colors and defined shapes, things can be lost in the background. And where we used to live, nature doesn't really exist in a visible capacity."
"Mm."
"Uh, let's see... To answer your question, I was meditating on the landing pad, and I got lost. I think I wandered into the jungle; not sure. I don't remember waking up until this morning when Melia threw a pillow at me." His silver eyes danced around the room, landing on specific plants as if he was observing them visually. "I definitely would remember a garden this big, so safe to say I didn't see it. And probably not much else. Is the layout similar to the Belkadan Academy?"

Although Kalli smiled at the young one's response, a sorrowful apology could be seen in her eyes. She hadn't forgotten that they didn't share the typical perception of sight. However, the Master Jedi had hoped that despite the 'grays' that they saw that they could still feel the beauty in another sense. Regardless of their answer, though, she continued to lead the two further into the gardens, hoping something here might change their minds."Of course," Kalli stated with faint remorse in her tones. "Life is still abundant here, and despite its activity, the gardens here one of the quieter areas of the Temple. If you ever want, it's a beautiful place to take a stroll or simply meditate." It was a mutual, unspoken understanding among all the Jedi here--padawan to master--to keep the peaceful aura undisturbed. Naturally, there were a few hushed conversations among some of the young ones, but the river's babbling sound was enough to flow over their voices. Soon enough, though, a single padawan wandering the gardens came into view. Kalli smiled to herself as she silently redirected their paths towards Achiira while continuing her conversation with Atuna."Unfortunately, though, the layout's design may be a question for the Grandmaster. I never did see the Belkadan Academy for myself. I grew up on the Coruscant Temple before it was... attacked, and I finished my training here." Kalli laughed lightly, shrugging a shoulder. Although she wished to give Atuna a better answer than that, some things couldn't be helped."And usually, I give newcomers a warning about wandering the jungles alone, especially later in the evening," she added, still laughing. However, now the weight of understanding lingered in the back of her mind. "Just take care." By this point, though, they had managed to get close enough that Achiira Taan would notice them approaching. Truthfully, the Master Jedi had thought that Alexia or Vivikayl would have been with her, but in the same thought, she was also glad to see Achiira out on her own and getting used to the Temple. Kalli smiled welcomingly towards her and nodded her head in a faint bow of greetings."Padawan Taan," Kalli acknowledged with her usual warmth. "Good to see you awake already and making yourself at home. How are you doing?"

Approximately fifteen minutes had passed since Achiira came into the gardens, as she watched some duos and small groups of Padawans conversing and milling around. She loved the energy of this place, it was like nothing she'd ever felt, it was alive, busy with different plant life and species. It swallowed her thoughts, instantly allowing her mind to be free and calm, it was like a trance that she didn't want to end. Something about this trance like state opened her connection with the force, broadened her mind and connection. Suddenly her mind was jumping into the minds of some of the Padawans around her, feeling their emotions, their issues and their troubles. Some worried about their training, others felt insecure, where as some were confident, sure of themselves. Then there were the happy ones, the ones that were content and grounded, they radiated brightly within the force Achiira had never experienced this side of her powers to this degree, and around a number of others. It overwhelmed her a little, but was happy in the fact that she was growing more as a student of the force and as a Jedi, but she would need to learn to control and center herself within this ability.
Her mind was abruptly invaded by two energies she'd felt the day before, familiar, yet both different. One was warm, gentle, bright and inviting. The other was strong, powerful, intimidating, intense and very overwhelming. She knew exactly who they force energies belonged to, and as she turned around she saw Master Starflight, Atuna and his son approaching her, the Jedi Master greeting her warmly.
Achiira returned the greeting to the trio with a low bow. "Good Morning Master Starflight, Atuna and Titus. I am doing well, thought I'd come out early to get my bearing and enjoy the gardens. I hope the three of you are well." She looked toward Atuna and Titus now. "I hope you both slept well, and I trust that Melia and Ivy are both well." She smiled warmly before looking back to Kalli.
She wondered why Atuna and Titus were with Kalli, settling on the idea that maybe Titus was being allowed to train as she remembered the conversation of this the day before. She also wondered if herself and Atuna would get a chance to have a conversation.

As the group approached Achiira, Atuna found his sweatpants pockets and stuffed his hands into them. Titus, free of his grip, stumbled to a halt a few feet back and stood motionless by himself, head tilted away as if staring into the center of the garden. Atuna did his best to smile in a knowing fashion and appear as relaxed as he could manage.
"Achiira. Glad you could join us. How has your-" He paused abruptly, and the corner of his mouth twitched as the unspoken words hung in the air. For a moment, he paused to reconsider, visibly upset at his lack of clarity. "Uh... I suppose that hasn't... happened yet. Good morning, then."
Somewhere, behind Atuna, he heard of faint, scoffing snort, the almost-indiscernible sound of someone snorting air from their nose in disgust, and he wheeled around to see Titus, relatively unphased, still unnaturally stoic, still staring away from the group. Atuna's chin shifted as he bit his tongue, both literally and figuratively, then turned back to Achiira and smiled again.
"The girls are well, thank you for asking. Melia's unpacking and Ivy is still asleep, so far as I know. You missed a pleasant breakfast. I made eggs." He brushed his hair back and out of his eyes with a hand before replacing it in his pocket, then shook his head to loosen his hair again, effectively accomplishing nothing. "What brings you out here so early?"
