Allegiance-class BattlecruiserShip Class: Heavy Star Destroyer Ship Role: Battlecruiser Ship Length: 2,200 meters Agility (A): 1 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 4 Speed (S): 1 Special Gear: N/A The Allegiance-class Battlecruiser is an odd ship among the Imperial Navy. Unlike its sister Star Destroyer, like the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer, the Allegiance is known for having no hangar bays nor troop-carrying capacity, making it known as a full-on slug warship. It was similar to the Procursator and Tector-classes, which also lacked hangar bays. The terraced dorsal superstructure that surrounded the Allegiance's bridge tower was far smoother than those on the Imperial-class, allowing for better armor coverage and less exposure of the inter-plate surfaces. Overall, the Allegiance-class was a very strong warship, with several of them among the composition of the legendary Death Squadron. They fell out of favor later on due to the Galactic Alliance and Fel Empire's change of tactics which was focusing on smaller and lighter fleet compositions. The Allegiance, while lacking in troop capacity and starfighter complement, has a decent arsenal, making it worthy of the escort role it served during the Galactic Empire's time and the resulting Shadow Campaign. In total, the battlecruiser bristled with 12 gun-batteries (6 port and starboard), 3 axial gun-batteries, and 6 trench gun-batteries (3 port and 3 starboard).

Just need that lovely length added into the description. But any thoughts gun count wise?

Given the length, it almost seems under-gunned for something of it's size. But that's just my first impression of it. Any recommendations on how we could beef up the gun count without getting to carried away?

I feel loved Le we kind of need to expand on how many guns are in a battery. I’ve not come across any solid definition of what counts as a battery of guns. How about 4 - 5 guns per battery?

After a quick browse, a modern battery is considered to consist of six to eight howitzers. While not futuristic or anything, I feel this is an acceptable way to establish what a battery consists of. Unless anyone else had any other ideas to add?

6 guns seems like a fairly decent number per battery. Just a matter of multiplying the battery count by 6

Perfect. Six it is.
Nicademus Delvardus IV, if you don't mind editing that for us, we should be good to go after that.

Um...I'm not really a numbers guy, but let me try to map out my line of thinking.
12 gun batteries x 6 guns per battery = 72 total
Meaning that while the ship still has 12 individual gun batteries, each battery contains six guns.
Each weapon emplacement that is specified as a battery needs to be multiplied by 6 to give the total amount of guns it has. Does that make sense?
EDIT: Now that I think about it, nothing needs to change specifically about the weapons, just need to clarify that within each battery there are six individual guns.

I think Zion meant multiplying the 6 by 6, but I will wait for him to clarify.

My apologies, I might have worded my statement a little vaguely.
1 Battery = 6 individual Guns of that type.
Viox has the right of it where the Math is concerned. 12 turbolaser batteries = 72 turbolasers. So on and so forth for the other gun batteries.

Personally, I don't think anything really needs to be edited, rather just mentioned somewhere in the description. Otherwise we're going to end up with insane gun counts on these ships. Basically just like Jenia did on her Victory and Victory II SD's.
And, I did add the 1 battery= 6 individual guns of that type to our quick reference guide, so we're all aware of it.

Oh definitely, I wasn't necessarily suggesting he go in depth on the actual individual gun counts. Just wanted to help clarify the math of what we going for here. I think crazy gun counts are bound to happen on some submissions eventually, it's just the nature of some people But that aside, I think we can start voting on this... My approval is down.
