The Procurator-class Battlecruiser (not to be confused with the Procursator-class Star Destroyer) is a 2,500 meter warship that was developed by Kuat Drive Yards, two centuries before the fall of the Galactic Republic. It was the first starship to earn the battlecruiser qualification by the Anaxes War College. Though it mostly served within the Kuat Defense Fleet, it was the predecessor to Praetor-class Battlecruiser and the Mandator-class Battlecruiser.

In the final refined state, the Procurator-class Battlecruiser had a decent armament (similar to the Allegiance) with the added bonus of carrying troops and starfighters. Despite this though, its role was best served for defensive and escort duty.  In total, its armament was 10 quad turbolaser batteries, 10 double turbolaser batteries, 10 laser cannons and 6 ion cannons, all of which were positioned on the port and starboard sides with the laser cannons situated along the prow up to the bridge. It could carry a complement of 72 starfighters and some 4,000 troops.
