The Sorannan-class Star Destroyer was a type of Imperial-class Star Destroyer that was relatively unknown to the galaxy at large. The most known of its kind was used as a testbed for weapons and new engines before it was captured by the Yevetha. It was later captured by survivors of the Yevetha occupation and went on to serve with the Imperial Remnant. Due to its name, it was likely named after Sil Sorannan, who led an Imperial revolt against the Yevetha and personally saw to it that Nil Spaar, the leader of the Duskhan League, was given due justice.
The Sorannan-class Star Destroyer was a lightly armed Star Destroyer, compared to its Imperial-class series sisters. In total, the ship carried an arsenal of 12 double turbolaser batteries, 20 light turbolaser cannons, 10 ion cannons, and 20 point defense systems, all evenly distributed on the port and starboard side of the vessel. It could carry a complement of 72 starfighters and 8,000 troops.
