Designed in response to the Rebel Alliance's hit and run tactics, The Raider I-class corvettes acted as an anti-starfighter combat vessel, being able to perform hit-and-run missions against Alliance forces on its own. Being outfitted with multiple weapon systems, the Raider I-class corvette featured 6 heavy dual laser cannons, 4 single turbolasers, 4 cluster missile launchers. On board the ship was navigated by a crew of 92 crewmembers, whereas 30 troops could be stationed on board for protection within the corvette.
