Finding its start during the Rebellion Era, the Baudo-class Star Yacht found favor among rich youngsters as well as smugglers due to its ability to be modified easily. Due to its sleek design, it has been considered, by many, to resemble some sea creatures, most likely inspired by some of the creatures roaming the seas of Ando. Though originally built by Mendel Baudo, the design has been passed to a few private ship builders who desire to create high quality ships for customers.
The ship is relatively quick and agile as the ship was disliked by most bulk freighter pilots due to being passed on the space lanes. Though not a combat ship, meant usually as a pleasure transport for affluent beings, it did possess average shields and a single laser cannon located on its ventral side, which, with a few precise shots, could make pirates think twice. Needing up a single person to control the craft, its stock configuration was able to carry eight passengers and thirty-five tons of cargo.
