Let’s Bust a Huge Galaxy Wide Underground Slavery Ring

The idea is to create an SL that interacts well with the current flow of the galaxy but ultimately ends with, well, what the title of this thread says.
I’ve already got some ideas on how to start this and a friend is helping me to outline things for further down the road, but I don’t know if I want to give away too much. I’m wondering if I want to keep some things spoiler free for the time being. That way we can have some twists and turns in it.
I want to make this RP as open as possible, with the only exception of course being that we all respect each other’s Traffic Lights.
Ok so what I do know so far is, I will have a whistleblower attempt to contact the Jedi in an attempt to reveal a huge underground slavery ring in the galaxy. I know Aerandir Calmcacil mentioned that this could be good for the Jedi Mission Board. I also talked to Tasot regarding possible disappearances causing the Chiss to take action in their sector. I also know that I will be tying one of my PCs, Starr Ariel Zulia Ren, loosely into this with her backstory.
My friend and I are brainstorming on the big bad head honcho and we have some basic essentials down, but I’m thinking keeping them as a surprise might be more fun. So I’m not going to discuss that aspect very much right now. We might end up treating the big boss like a spoiler for now.
What I’m hoping happens is that more than just the Chiss and Jedi get involved. The more factions involved, the more immersive and galaxy wide it will feel. We can have multiple people either PC or NPC as slavers, or slaves, and that’ll give opportunities for busts and small rescue SLs to go on around the galaxy. The more the merrier.
Also, I don’t want to rush the overall grand arc of this. Let’s let this simmer, and build up over time to an epic conclusion. That will also add to the big widespread feel of it.
