Riley raised an eyebrow as the AI spoke of his own duty, and almost instinctively his eyes turned back towards the defense platform. He exhaled slightly before passing word to the smaller Corvettes to descend towards the Jedi Base Hanger Bay. Even if the Bay was not large enough to house the larger corvettes, they could dock outside and be close enough to perform the repairs necessary to get the ships back into fighting condition. Riley, upon the cruiser, would remain in Orbit.
"Bring the ship alongside the defense platform, and begin sending the crew in shifts down to the planet. Dispatch the garrison as well to the Jedi base, put Lucian in command of them and give them instructions to set a planetary garrison within the Jedi base, they will await Commander D'lyse and his command teams return, and open comms again.."
Routine spells danger for any being at such a post as yours. Who is in command of the Orbital Defenses? Where is what remains of the Conclave's fleet?
The three Hammerhead Corvettes pealed off from the cruiser and plotted a descending course towards the Jedi base below, in the meanwhile the Cruiser maintained a high orbit as Captain Riley saw to what remained of Felucia's defenses.

*Wait a minute. They were still speaking to him and not just going about their business as usual? Culex immediately got eyes on the ships before realizing that... to be fair, the large ship wouldn't fit in the Jedi Base's hangar. The Commander seemed to at least care about Culex's post, which was refreshing, before asking some more questions, easily answerable.* :: Well the Gannon Cannon over there's maintained by Commander, heh, Ganon, that narcissist. We all answer to the Jedi and now the Alliance, ultimately. As for me, I just monitor the skies and report all known traffic to the surface, particularly to the Jedi Base. As far as the fleet goes, well, we've got that Imperious over there, Our Own Tomorrow, helmed by Admiral Beron, as well as his small contingent of ships. Mostly here for defense of the planet, though a time or two they might depart for some sort of mission. They've been working on securing more defensive forces lately, what with the declaration of galactic war and all. ::

Riley had ordered the bridge crew to scan the so called "Gannon Cannon" while the AI went on explaining the state of affairs surrounding Felucia. When his eyes passed to the Imperious he gave a slight whistle of approval. The Mon Calamari had outdone themselves. Taking the traditional Kuat shipyards design and making it in every way more elegant and deadly. The shear size of the ship dwarfed his own charge in a daunting fashion and with such a Command ship at the head he could only wonder at what the rest of the fleet would look like - or what damage they could bring to bare against anyone attempting to invade the system by force.
A valiant charge to be sure. I assume you have taken over your post from Carnel - has he retired or...
He didn't want to think that the beloved sky control officer could have died after even surviving the previous wars. But with the mention of a new war, and the battle that they had been through already he wasn't sure what Captain Altair meant to do with the Defense force around Felucia being so thin.
What stance have the Jedi taken in the war against the First Order?

:: Oh I wouldn't bother Carnel right now. He's hard at work on his greatest project. ... a fortress. ... made of dominoes. :: *Culex would shake his head at the thought, were he currently projecting himself in hologram form. Actually, he could have done so just to do just that, even though no one would be witness to the act, but by the time the idea processed, it felt like it was too late to do so. Instead, he offered further comment on Carnel before moving on to the Commander's question.* :: Sometimes I wonder if that man's more eccentric than I am. Anyways, the Jedi had made their stance quite clear from the start: They will directly oppose the First Order at any opportunity, and they have done so in a few skirmishes, notably at Dantooine. They won't be backing down from the iron first of the Imperial. Or is it a durasteel fist? Hrm... I guess if it were Mandalorians, it'd be a beskar fist... ... but I digress. ::

*With a quick flash of light, the Gladiator dropped out of hyperspace and quickly slowed it's advance towards the planet. From the cockpit, Ellie stared at the planet in the distance, the last time she was her was a less than pleasant experience. Shaking the thought from her mind, she shifted in her seat some before turning to her twin.* "There it is, Felucia. One giant jungle where just about everything wants to kill you."
*During the flight there, she had changed her clothes and washed up. She still wore her brown cargo pants and black combat boots, but she now wore a black t-shirt with her battered beskar'gam chest plate over top, a set of dark brown Jedi robes over that and a utility belt with her lightsaber attached to it. Her right hand was still bandaged with gauze from her knuckles to halfway up her forearm. She was fidgeting with her robe, the stupid thing felt so awkward now for some reason. Letting out a sigh of frustration, she hit the she long range communications when they were finally within reach.* "Felucia control, this is Jedi Padawan Ellie Ordo of the Gladiator requesting permission to land at the Jedi temple. I have one passenger, Jedi Padawan Kaiya Ordo. We hail from the Jedi temple on Endor, and are seeking information from a Master or anyone who may be of assistance."

Riley had barely finished admiring the Mon Calamari take on an Imperial design of star dreadnought when the AI had got around to replying. The Landing craft he had sent towards the planet had long since landed and he had received conformation of their safe arrival. Riley did not like the Idea of placing command of the ground operation in the hands of a pilot, even one who had distinguished himself in combat on numerous occasions and risen through the ranks from a tactical pilot to a corvette pilot, given a few more years he would be given his own cruiser, but he was a Spacer, not meant to be on the ground and not created to lead ground missions. He belonged in the air. Riley's attention was drawn back to the AI when the skirmishes on Dantooine were mentioned, he had heard nothing of them, or any other Jedi operation in the Galaxy - they had been out of the loop for to long.
Do you mind if we link our computer to your records, we have some catching up to do I am afraid. We were stuck in the Unknown Region on our last mission for more years than I wish to recant.
The ships proximity alarm went off and Riley's attention turned just as the ship broke out of Hyperspace. They had already linked with the planets frequencies to pick up on any transmissions sent or received through the planet's comm system. Riley's eyes narrowed on the ship as the transmission finished and he nodded to his Communications officer to open comms to the ship.
This is Fleet Commander Riley, While you wait for confirmation on your landing is there anything I might do to be of assistance?

*Ellie froze for a second when a voice responded to her massage. The person was not who she was expecting, then again, she really didn't know what to expect anymore. Reaching over, she activated her comms.* "Fleet commander Riley this is Ellie Ordo. We appreciate the help but....actually. You wouldn't happen to know about any Sith activity in the area? Were hunting a group of them, more of a cult of them. Their leader has been kidnapping force sensitive beings and conscripting into his small army. The last place I encountered them was here on Felucia."

Riley's eyebrows wrinkled at the mention of the Sith, he hadn't been in contact with them for several years, with the notable exception of the guest that gave off a very dark vibe they had been hauling about the Galaxy with them until a few weeks ago. He ordered the bridge crew to check the Planets comm channels once again, but without access to the planets computer through the AI he had been negotiating with he had no way of knowing if there were any Sith on the planet anyways - however he had believed in the short time that he had been here that the Jedi had a firm hold on the planet and wouldn't allow any such thing from occurring on their planet. There was also that Sith on Naboo, that Altair had informed him of, but he was a member of the Wayward Son's crew and probably was unrelated. Something about the girls name however caused him to pause.
Miss... Ordo? The Mandalorian clan Ordo? You're not a bounty hunter are you... the Jedi have control of the Planet below and i do not believe the Sith have been given sanctuary here for years.
While he awaited a reply he silenced his comm and ordered his crew to scan the ship. His eyes fell on the bulbus transport ship through the side viewport and finally reactivated his comm.
To your inquiry however I do not believe there are any active Sith on the Planet. Do you have any further information on this cell, a name perhaps?

*Ellie let out a sigh of annoyance when asked about her heritage. This was a question she heard all to often.* "Yes we're Mandalorian of clan Ordo. No were not bounty hunters, we're Jedi."
*She took a seconds pause to almost calm her nerves before speaking again.* "These Sith weren't really welcome on the planet, at least I would assume. They snuck onto the surface and were hiding out in an abandoned clone wars era base. There may at most have been twenty or so. The majority barely had thenough force sensitivety of a Padawan, and far less training. They must not have been here for more than a few days, cause I doubt they would have escaped the academies notice for very long. As for a name, their leader simply called themselves The Awakened. He seemed fanatical, believing him and his followers were ushering in a new way of excepting the force. I believe he may have been a Jedi once, he seemed to have more Jedi training and knowledge then Sith training. More of a Dark Jedi than anything...I guess."

Riley nearly chuckled off comm, he seemed to have struck a nerve. The information she offered did little more to grant any insight into what she was talking about. He had never heard of any group of Sith or even Dark Jedi going by that name. Clearly his usefulness had run its course. Once the scan of the ship was complete and he was sure the ship could cause no real threat to the Base below, and the ships credentials had been checked against their outdated system he reached for the Comm again.
No intended disrespect Jedi, simply doing my job. I am afraid i can offer no information on the ones you seek. If you wish I can grant you clearance to land and you can take your inquiries to the Jedi Masters below. Calmcacil seems to run things now, i'd ask for him or one of his Knights.

Crinkling her nose when her twin describes the planet they are beginning their hunt for the Sith they seek on in such a way as to make it clear that they will need to be on guard against not only the possibility of confronting their prey, but also essentially against the planet itself, Kaiya forces a smile and jokes, "Sounds really great, vod. You always take me to the best, funnest spots in the universe."
Arching an eyebrow when they are hailed, not by the planetary traffic controllers one would expect, but by what turns out to be a rather chatty being claiming to be a fleet commander, Kaiya listens to the exchange between her twin and Commander Chatty Cathy, chuckling to herself when Cathy makes the mistake of bringing up Ellie's heritage. "Uh oh," Kaiya muttered to herself as Ellie had responded with a bit of ire evident in her tone, turning her attention back to her datapad - which she has been using to learn as much as she can about Felcia's flora and fauna in preparation of surviving their search for answers on the planet's surface - when it became apparent that Commander Chatty would not be able to be as useful as might have been hoped; though his offer to clear them and the information about which Jedi might be useful does sound helpful.

*Ellie wasn't disappointed to hear what the Fleet Commander said. She actually expected this to be different, a needle in a haystack scenario.* "No offense taken, it's just a worn-out question. No one expects a Mandalorian to be a Jedi. I do appreciate your help, and would be great full if you gave us clearance."

Riley nodded at the statement, and he thought it would be a decent idea to not bring up the fact that there was a very good reason why Jedi Mandalorians were few and far between. He transferred her a temporary security code to bypass the defenses on the base planetside.
This code will give you access to the Jedi Base Hanger Bay, once there if you can find no one else to help you, ask for a Captain Lucian - as a last course he is one of mine, and might be able to help you. Best of luck Ellie... was it?
He smirked slightly and send the AI a short message informing him of the girls presence on the planet below, as well as a request of information of various First Order Bases in the Eastern Outer Rim.

*Ellie watched as the transmission for the codes came through. Hitting the comms one last time to thank the man.* "Codes received. Thank you Commander. Ellie out."
*She turned to her twin and gave an awkward smile.* "well that was...fun. let's hope it gets easier." *Bringing the engines up to power, she guided the vessel our office orbit to the planet below.*

"I wouldn't get your hopes up too high vod, Kaiya jokes when her twin voices her hopes that things go more smoothly going forward. It is, well, us we're talking about, Kaiya goes on cheerily enough, setting her datapad down and swiveling in her seat to face the navicomputer. I'll lay in a course to the Jedi Base, and you can do that piloting thing you do so well," she says in a slightly more serious tone, guessing that the time for jokes should probably come to an end soon now that they are setting out for Felucia's surface.
As her fingers dance across the keyboard, Kaiya asks, "Should we comm ahead to see if we can arrange to meet with, whatshisname? Calmcacil, is that right? Or should we just set down in the hangar and try to find someone who can point us in the right direction?"

*Culex could hardly his eyes. Er, scanners. He barely had a chance to respond to the incoming ship and the request for a data link when the Commander named Riley established contact with the Gladiator instead, offering his aid and even clearing them to land. Culex's holographic form manifested within the security station, as he puffed up his chest and glowered at the stars before him. Then he again realized no one else was watching and felt a bit of a fool, but no less indignant.* :: Look, buddy, you can't just fly in here and take over my job like that. Lucky for you I was still able to process, ID, and confirm the ship's identity, but in the future, please leave these things to us. I don't want to go back to customer service! :: *If one wondered whether AI could get flashbacks, Culex was the proof. The reason his personality programming became a little... eccentric. He clawed at his horned head a moment as though scratching away the memories, then sighed.* :: Well, anyhow, we know a few planets. Garqi, Dubrillion, Bastion, Muunilinst, for starters. Those last two are hotly-debated as to whether or not they're the capital, but nothing's confirmed yet. We also suspect they're taking advantage of Yaga Minor's shipyards... and that would be it for the Eastern Rim as far as we can tell. ::

Riley raised an eyebrow at the AI's voice on the comm before shifting his gaze to his bridge staff.
"Was I just yelled at by a toaster?"
No one answered him, and few even looked up from their work to register his would be joke, and after a moment Riley shook his head and reestablished communications.
"My computer is fully capable of processing and confirming a ships ID, and I have no plans to put you out of a job, its just so... boring up here, doesn't anything ever happen?"
Riley fell back into the command chair with a huff fingering at the control panel on the arm of the chair tapping his foot against the durasteel flooring beneath his boots that made up the ships bridge floor. Not the prettiest ship he'd ever seen... it was in serious need of upgrades... even with his current crew still attempting to get her back in shape after the run in with the Chiss First Order fighters in the Unknown region. When Altair returned, he was going to go fleet shopping that was for certain. When Culex told him about the First Order bases in the Sector he at least had something to do, and brought up a holomonitor detailing last known files of those planets.
Hmm I suppose I could send a message to a few people I know... see if we could get any further information on that. But it wouldn't matter which planet served as their home base, the fleet is whats important, and you mentioned Dantooine? Is that where the First Order is currently engaged or has that battle passed?

==Herd Ship SL== <<106 PP; R6 Sector, Felucia>>
There was a flicker of motion as a BC-714 Luxury Transport appeared at one of the more common hyperspace entrances to the system. It was broadcasting the codes for the nearby Infinite Imperium. As it set up an approach vector for the primary planet, the comms officer began the hailing sequence for local traffic control.
-Comms Felucia Actual, this is BC-329 "Heavenly Commendation" requesting landing clearance for Kway Teow.
It took a short while for the ground crew looked up who the II was. That caused a bit of worry when it was revealed to be a renaming of the large Mandalorian clan that controlled a fair bit of the northern edge of the galaxy near by. More worrying was the open alliance with the First Order. However, it did not seem to extend to warfare with the worlds of the Alliance, as so far no military action had come down from the north. After a little more debate the ship was given clearance to land.

The ship appeared of of darkspace with barely a shudder, dropping into the Felucia system far removed from the normal flow of traffic. Resembling nothing more than a smooth, streamlined asteroid about the side of a light freighter, it was unlikely to attract much attention on conventional scanners. Made primarily of a substance known as Yorik Coral the vessel was actually a living organism used as a galactic spacecraft, in partnership with the pilot within. Said pilot sat with a cognition hood pulled down over her head, hands thrust deep into large sacs on the arms of the chair. With a thought and a twitch of the right hands the pilot brought the Dovin Bassals, creatures bred to provide propulsion and shielding for the craft, to life sending the craft on a steady course towards Felucia.
Removing her thin, eight-fingered hand from the sac and reached up to stroke the cognition hood free from her head. Snake-like tendrils writhed with agitation at being confined within the hood, the Shaper headdress another engineered modification to her biology. Angular features only slightly marred by the minimal devotion to the ritual scarring associated with her species, she was attractive in a regal, severe kind of way. Faded blue eyesacks highlighting her features much the same way make-up would on a human. Her lips were full and framed a small mouth that seemed permanently set in a wry twist. Her nose was so small it was nearly non-existent, just a small snub all the smaller due to her wide-spaced eyes. Standing she stretched, displaying a height of nearly six feet a robe of living material concealing the lithe figure beneath. A sideways step brought her before a distasteful metallic device merged with a small rubbery ball, known as a Villip. The latter a common communication device used among the Yuzhaan Vong, the former an appendage used to enable the Villip to communicate with the mechanical devices of this galaxy. It had been given the name Oggzil and, despite it being of Yuzhaan Vong in origin, she still felt somehow tainted by its use.
With a gentle caress she stroked the Oggzil to life, using slight ridges along the side to input the coordinates she was given by the Lizard-like Jedi she had met nearly a week earlier, Menzine Kwaad peered intently into the fleshy device.
This be Menzine Kwaad talking for Master Chalco Gannor. Do you hear, Jedi?
The strange ship continued on slowly, closing in on the planet in silence.

Far below on the planet the messaged had been received and a reply was not long in coming..."This is Master Gannor. I bid you greetings Menzine Kwaad. Belik tiu..."TThere as a slight pause before the voice continued."I am transmitting coordinates across this channel for a landing vector and there will be a ship en-route to escort you shortly."There was a slight longer pause this time, the seconds ticking by before the voice returned."Are you able to receive the coordinates with your... device?" True to the word of Master Gannor a ship soon appeared ahead of the strange craft. The X-Wing fighter completing a slow bank that put itself slightly ahead of the Yuzhaan Vong ship then waggled its wings in greeting. Matching the pace of its charge the X-Wing began its escort down to the Jedi Base below...
