On the beaches barrel after barrel of crude oil and high octane rocket fuel was flooded onto the beach. The officers directing this action carried with little concern about enemy fire, as this would only do their job for them. Giving your life for the IF was nothing to these men. And it was everything. Soon the explosions began, orchestrated by the IF on a beach built by the IF and now in a lake of fire... set by the IF. Small pockets of activity carried on in this collage of destruction; the IF were masters of the craft of war. And sad the parting it would be The raised IF HQ was ransacked – again. Anything of worth left behind was taken. From literature to the most sophisticated of scientific gear and all things in between were removed and packed away. All of these too were replaced by tons of barreled crude and fuel. Then at the snap of a finger the walls came crumbling down. Any lord dancing up and down the beach casting magical spells on this and that could do as they wished, provided that they tread easy near IF business, or they too would be met with a taste of grapeshot

Under a heavy smoke screen a group of shuttles rose up into the air and disappeared from view. The long history of the IF on Manaan was drawing to a bitter abrupt end. But masses of IF troops stood and fought tooth and nail. The leaving would be bloody indeed

A steady stream of shuttles appeared in Manaan air these landed and a took off again in a constant stream. In an orderly fashion, covered by a hail of fire. A select group of IF troops, steeds, and hardware were loaded in and departed

The remaining troops steeled themselves for what would be a final stand. Fear was not a word spoken among them one and all, what they desired was a glorious honorable death

On the beach of Manaan the battle raged on, IF soldiers standing for their land. Welcome to the war zone.... The delicate ballet between those rooted in fortifications and mobile constantly moving flying columns continued. Occasional volleys of cannon fire sounded and the destruction ot the beach became evident. A Major declared
-IF Major-
"Here's one fellas...."
Lighting a cigarette the Major went on
"For the constant head splitting cry we hear of...."
Going into a satirical child-like whine
"of returning Manaan to what it was... blah, blah blah...."
Then the Major pointed out firmly to the ground beneath
"This beach didn't exist til it was built by IF hands."
Another salvo of gunfire rocked the ground. No fast fix Force inspired wave of the hand would cure this blight on the universe. Not in a believable fashion - in any reality

The intermittent shelling of the beach on Manaan heightened to a roar then dropped down to near silence only to pick up again. What the Lord giveth the Lord taketh away. In the long history of Manaan no beach ever existed before the IF built one. An Tiarna had the Mortus built too, in the name of his dear friend who sheltered him and his band on the planet. Mortus whom had welcomed AnTiarna and the IF to Manaan. Ironic that people wanted it back based on some asinine claim of liberty. They would get what they wished. Manaan would be pure again. The shelling was beginning to take effect. The ominous hum that is heard as a brio City. The shelling continued unabated. As the beach at long last collapsed and began to slide into the sea troops took flight. Thousands were carried into the ocean deep with the beach soil. Others hurried desperately attempting to escape the landslide breeched the citydge collapses could be heard as the artificial beach began to tear from the wall

The bombardment of the IF beach was completed. No pub, no graveyard, no reminder of the IF presence. There were some remains of what had once been a prestine beachhead. But nothing the like of the immaculate beaches that the IF built. Nothing. Nothing but blue Manaan water surrounded the pristine city of Ahto. All during the invasion viper droids picked up valuable visual evidence. An assortment of probing hardware did much the same all over the island city. A rich supply of audio-visual evidence was recorded and relayed the HQ

CiaránThe two approached in silence then came to an abrupt stop. Standing on the slim remains of the Beach they gazed out at the Ocean Deep. All physical remains of the mighty IF were now gone, sunken into the unforgiving waters. Gone was The Mortus, the celebrated pub of . The mammoth stone of Valandil Ar-Feiniel, The True Assassin was gone. So was that the testament to Lord Iniquitous, aka Dace Concordia, of The Rock of the Iron Fists. Also the head of Villa, aka Randall Flagg, set on the hilt of a four pronged hilt had sunken to the Ocean Floor beneath. These too with time would erode in the mighty waters. No matter, for if their memories remained alive in tales of their greatness their spirit would live forever.
Ciarán and Laoch stood for a long quiet moment on the small patch of soil gazing at the Ocean in front of them. Water hit the sand, each time taking more and more with it as it receded. The two stood silently for some time. Ciarán spoke “You know tactically speaking this is one less thing to defend.”
Laoch picked up a stone, holding it tight in his hand then hurled it to into the water. As it sunk the two walked away. It was all but over. They quietly left as the remains of the beach continued to sink, And they left things stand at that quietly moving away and were gone

Feet setting down on the surface of the deep ocean Maureen stood. Looking down she was filled with terror. She was going to drown. But she was already dead.... The Raven landing on her shoulder straightened her back some but it was the feeling of her tiny right hand in that of An Tiarna that calmed the girl

The Old man could feel the fear seize Maureen and squeezed her hand in his bellowing with laughter -An Tiarna- “No worries…. This… this is… where my band of wild crazy mixed up animals called home...." With a shrug -An Tiarna- "And many others called many a name, not many intended for ears as young and delicate as yours." Brows creasing as he thought -An Tiarna- "Don't get too comfortable...." Laughing at his own wordsds "Priceless; that should be the motto of this planet but I am speaking generally." With they disipated

The oceanic surface of Manaan was alive with craft of all kind as Selkath did everything to prevent anything from happening. A neat aspect of this disorder was the abject stupidity of any attempting to physically stop these agitators, on account of the risk of killing the Progenitor, the massive female firaxan shark that lived in the Hrakert Rift of Manaan. The giant fish was central to the spiritualism practiced by the Selkath, thus physically stopping these protestors was quite hopeless

Celebrated or scorned the IF presence on Manaan was a thing of the past. An Tiarna had cast it aside, and brought down every monument of their existence on the planet. Thousands of bloodthirsty troops still guarded over the oceanic surface and Ahto City but frightening as they were, these represented but a fraction of original size of IF forces. The Old man had, not without great reluctance, ordered any edifice the IF frequented raised and the beach levelled to the bottom of the sea. No more magnificent fortress, or fortified bunkers, no pub. Nothing, save that which existed before the IF took the planet many years ago Notwithstanding military hardware and other remnants the IF presence on the planet were easily distinguished. Among these an array of naval vessels collected beside the city like algae on a dock

A Wayfarer broke into the sky over Manaan. A familiar stench surrounded the ship as it descended slowly from the air to Ahto City

A lonely Wayfarer rose from the city slowly lifting into the sky over the ocean. The vessel disappeared into the clouds then past them it ascended into the Dark unknown

Three creatures appeared out of nothing. Two of which were black ravens and the other was a woman reaching out through the Force gripping onto a lightsaber several meters away in the beak of one of the birds, Muninn.
Huginn looked around and took a deep breath of the cold crisp air around him.
Ah, it seems as though the old man was here at one point.
His voice was a ripple through the force, decipherable only by his brother who looked up and around, lightsaber still gripped tightly in his beak.
Aye.
Without thinking, he opened his beak as he responded to his brother, dropping the lightsaber, and subsequently the woman who was gripping onto it through the Force, sending them both plummeting toward the clouds below them and the ocean beyond. Muninn looked at his brother, seething.
Look at what you made me do! Now we will have to find a new curiosity!
Huginn, like his brother, flapped as he hovered in the air watching as the woman disappeared into a cloud. There was a delay before he began cawing incessantly with laughter.
Dear Odin brother you have really done it now!
No! You are the one who dropped us all in the middle of the sky on a forgotten ocean world!
Amid the laughter, Huginn folded his wings tightly to his frame as he held his chest, and he too plummeted downward.
Before the woman came out the bottom of the cloud, the three of them all vanished from the world.

As if out of nowhere a lone Raven appeared soaring high above the ocean it cast a Dark ominous reflection off the surface below. Gazing around the Raven absorbed all and everything around him. A word burst out in the mind. Lifeless. And with that he was gone as fast as he had materialized. To be sure, once hung up the bodies were allowed to rot, as this was tradition. In the case of burning at the stake the pyre was allowed to burn out naturally, as a rule
