Sith StarfighterShip Class: Starfighter Ship Role: Starfighter Ship Length: 45 meters Agility (A): 2 Defensive (D): 3 Offensive (O): 2 Speed (S): 2 Special Gear: 0 The Sith starfighter was the primary starfighter of the original Sith Empire. Carried by Sith battleships into battle, these fighters served the Empire throughout the Great Hyperspace War, mainly in the role of ship defense. As with most other Sith ships of this era, the starfighter had no shielding but possessed thick armor plating. Armed with a triple blaster cannon, it was large and rather unappealing as a starfighter.

unappealing? more like ugly as...
anyway.... Going to say this is in heavy based on size, since I only count 10 points. right?

Yes. Because it is rather large for a starfighter.

Heavy vs Light isn't based on size, but on point count. As a 10 point ship, it would be a light fighter. Even though it is the size of a freighter.
On the other hand, given the size, I would be surprised if it wasn't much slower than the 3 you currently have it as.

So then why is there a 'less than 26 meters' for both starfighter categories?
And is that an indication that I should lower the speed rating?

The less than 26 meter bit is a hold over from the older wording. The MAD system only states that a starfighter at 10 points & under is a light fighter. In this case (along with a few others), the ship design is clearly marked as a fighter. Light/Heavy is not an indication of size, but of equipment cost & fighter effectiveness.
& yes, that could have been more clearly worded. However, without some sort of evidence of more powerful than normal engines, I would say lower the speed to a 2. Republic fighters of the same time were nearly a quarter of the size of these.

Be that as it may, size still is incorporated into all of the categories, so it does play a factor into where everything goes. Realistically, both the Annihilator (which I begrudgingly moved) and the Sith Starfighter are large enough to be placed in the Support category even though they are identified as starfighters, simply because of what each category states for size requirements.
