Epona moved between easy walk and canter. How she wanted to gallop… She moved around uneasily. Like Luca she too was alert, bow in hand and always on the watch.This was family and she would readily give her life defending any of them. She smiled when coming into eye contact with a cousin but said nothing as she paced in circles around the group

Laoch shrugged and went back to his gun. Ciarán just stared at his brother with a look somewhere between disbelief and fury

He knew that there was a foreign presence now on Manaan. Of this he had been told. And as typical with a strike on the IF it took an outrageous confederacy to even dare step foot on the planet. But they were as if a boxer fighting against an slippery enemy. No. More like an enemy that was not even there. Pity that but such was how they always worked; you can’t hit what your eyes can’t see…. How so few could grasp that so basic of logic fractured his mind. Bravery and stupidity were easily and mistaken one for the other. And again, in the eyes of a fool this line became quite blurred. And that led to a confused individual.... Easy prey. Crushing a cigarette out under foot he lit another

The Lámh Dhearg were quiet and careful as they began a sweep through the island city of Atho. No banners flying high, they moved combing the city. No room was left for interpretation, alien forces had asserted authority. But this move was discrete; confrontation avoided as the troops went through the city like ghosts. They quietly communicated with the confederates nestled in the quiet community. Incendiary devices were planted across the city. Positions were readied. Evacuation protocol was in the air. As the Lámh Dhearg moved in from the west the 50 platoon Óglaigh na Iarndóideanna appeared from cover, In constant contact they combed across the city from the east. Covert dominance had been firmly established. But these troops moved like the night, dark and quietly. Fixed traps were inspected and new ones laid throughout the city. The perceived invasion by alien forces as was was confirmed. Evacuation was conveyed as the best route

Technicians under the supervision of IF officers worked on recon droid hardware. This was a task driven by an understanding of IF philosophy; in a situation with their backs were against the wall in a defensive position An Tiarna would often order an offensive. And as consequence seasoned staff were preparing for just that possibility

The other officer stared down the Lieutenant long and hard
-Major Pain-
“Son… An Tiarna is offensive. Go on the offensive? How long have you been with the IF?"
The Major’s answer silenced the younger less seasoned officer; an assault was imminent…..
