Vao smirked as Orrick asked the next question, now that business was concluded on the previous contract. Reaching into his vest, he pulled out two bounty pucks and a small datapad. Laying them out on the table, he replied to the Mandalorian."Does a Bantha shit in the Dune Sea? O' course I 'ave work fer ye! These are the only ones worth mentionin', howe'er."The Twi-lek activated to two bounty pucks. The first one showed a human male, around his mid thirties."Tucker Vol. Thief, Slave Trafficker 'n Glitterstim dealer. Normally nah someone I'd worry about, but he klepped a crate o' 'stim from the Hutt Cartel on Nar Shaddaa. Naturally, the Cartel be pissed 'n wants thar product back. They put a substantial price on his head. Contract terms are alive, wit' the crate o' 'stim returned the the Cartel's contact on Nar Shaddaa."Knowing full well that Orrick liked to hear all of his options before deciding, Vao continued by activating the second bounty puck. A blue image of a Nautolan with a prosthetic right leg appeared."Saresh Colgen. Nautolan pirate. Wanted in three systems fer theft o' government property, destruction o' government property 'n the murder o' several code o' conduct enforcement officers. The parties involved don't care about thar property, they jus' wants his head on a platter. Me last intel update indicates he's holed up in the Ison system. Payout's fifty k."The substantial payout on the second bounty was sure to draw in Orrick's attention. But there was one more job available. Mercenary work though, not a bounty. However, he wanted to see what Orrick thought about the bounties first, before he touched on that particular job.

Orrick smirked at Vao's comment about the bantha. Typical rhetorical humor. Vao was always good for bounties and other types of work. As the first puck was activated and Vao explained the details, Orrick nodded thoughtfully. The Tucker Vol contract was fairly straight forward, though tracking him across Nar Shaddaa could prove difficult, if he were a smart man and when into hiding after stealing from the Cartel. Pretty standard bounty, through and through. As the second puck was activated and Vao becan explaining it, Orrick eyed up the hologram. Nautolan pirate. Probably a leader, by the looks of him. More than likely he had a handful of ships to back him up, which meant the subtle approach was most likely off the table. Were he to accept that particular contract, he'd have to speak to the Clan for some support. Even if Henoc was with him, they'd be hard pressed to slip into a pirate fleet and take out the leader. It would require further discussion, should they decide to take the jobs. The pay out for the Saresh Colgen was hefty, even for a wanted pirate. Though murdering law enforcement officers tended to land one pretty high up on the wanted board. And then there was still the datapad. It wasn't Guild related, so it must have been mercenary work of some kind. And if it was coming straight from Vao himself, it was liable to pay as good as the pirate contract. Bringing his left hand up, he scratched at his stubbled chin. As he placed both hands down on the table, he pinged Henoc from his right vambrace, indicating he wanted him to be present.
"Certainly have some wealthy clients, Vao. That pirate bounty is especially tempting...however, I'd like to bring Henoc in and see what you've got for mercenary work as well."
Vao never had a problem with Orrick bringing in his brother, as Henoc was a skilled hunter and shared Orrick's views on splitting the reward with the rest of the clan. And, Vao never mentioned anything about the stolen property, so he imagined that if it happened to be acquired by a particular pair of Mandalorian brothers, no one would care. Still, he wanted Henoc's opinion on the bounties, and he wanted Henoc present for the explanation of the mercenary work.

Henoc entered the storefront leaving Venk Res, his cousin outside. As he walked in he quickly spotted the old overweight Twi'lek and his brother, he walked over to them and took a seat next to his brother. He noticed two holo pucks on the table and a datapad, most likely two more bounties and some merc work that the Twi'lek wanted done. Henoc removed his helmet, revealing his scarred face and golden eyes then he placed his helmet on his right knee and also placed his right hand on top of it, making sure it was secured and not at rick to falling on the floor. Henoc took a moment to collect his thoughts before speaking.
"I take it that those are new bounties and perhaps some Merc work?"
Henoc asked the question even though he most likely already knew the answer, however he did want to confirm it. Henoc waited for either one to speak and answer his question.

Orrick made little acknowledgement of his brother's approach and subsequently seating himself beside him in the booth. Though he did nod and reply when Henoc asked his question.
"Elek. A human male, who stole from the Cartel on Nar Shaddaa of all places, and a Nautolan pirate, wanted for theft, murder...typical pirate. As for the datapad...Jerrak, I believe you were about to explain that, yeah?"
Turning the conversation back over to the Emporium's proprietor, he waited for the aged Twi-lek's response before continuing to discuss anything with Henoc.

"Aye, me clients usually 'ave deep pockets...howe'er, the mercenary work be comin' direct from me."
Nodded the Twi'lek as he both answered Orrick's initial question before Henoc arrived, and confirmed that the datapad held mercenary work. Tapping the datapad with a meaty finger, the Twi'lek leaned back in his seat and began explaining the mercenary work he had lined up.
"Typical gun-fer-hire. Got wind o' a wee band o' raiders plannin' on hittin' one o' me storehouses on Ryloth. Got plenty o' fuel, among other merchandise stored thar. Needless t' say, I can nah 'ave some punk gang trying t' knock off one o' me storehouses. Standard payout would be thirty-five k, plus whatever ye find on the raiders afterwards. But, ye two accept 'n I'll make it fifty k a piece. Aye?"
Normally he wouldn't be so forward and willing to up the payment for services rendered, however, the Awaud's reputation also held considerable weight in his decision. They were reliable and he could guarantee that if they took the job, they'd get it done properly, without any of his merchandise every being in any danger. Upping the payout to fifty thousand credits a piece almost guaranteed they'd take that job, but he wasn't entirely sure on the bounties just yet.

Fifty thousand credits a piece? Vao must really have some valuable goods in his storehouse on Ryloth, thought Orrick to himself. That was some serious coin to cough up. Clearly the merc work was something they would take, as it paid damn good and Vao was a good friend to them. As for the bounties, they would most likely take those as well. One for Henoc, one for him, and they'd just work together to finish them. Which was usually what they did. Orrick cast a glance over to Henoc and thought it over for a few moments. Returning to look at Vao, he nodded and reached up for the datapad, bounty pucks and fobs.
"We'll take the lot of 'em. Henoc and I will work out who takes what bounty, but the merc work is the first thing we'll tackle."
Orrick stashed the pucks, fobs and datapad into compartments on his belt, cast another glance at Henoc, who seemed to be content with the decision, then looked back to Vao. Picking up his bucket, he slid it onto his head, seals hissing and clicking as they engaged.
Any last minute tips or advice? Now's the time.
He was eager to get to work. He wanted to go over his gear and ensure everything was stocked and ready for the work ahead. Ryloth wasn't particularly far from the Run, so that was fortunate, however, Ison and Nar Shaddaa were a day or two out, at least. And, he still needed to discuss the plan of attack with Henoc and see if the Clan could spare a warship or two, to assist with taking down the pirate. All in all, it was going to be a busy few weeks ahead. But certainly well worth the effort, given the size of the payout the stood to gain.

Henoc listened to both his brother and Vao as they explained the bounties and the merc work. Tackling the pirate sounded like it would be a blast, the human who stole from the Cartel sounded like your typical bounty which was fine just not as interesting as the pirate. Henoc was impressed with the amount that the old Twi'lek offered for the merc work, but didn't show it outward to the others. As Orrick confirmed that they would be taking both bounties and the merc work, Henoc nodded was content with that as they usually work together on bounties and merc work.
As Orrick stood up and put on his helmet, Henoc rose from his seat as Orrick's helmet seals hissed as they clicked and engaged. Henoc also placed his helmet back on his head with the same sharp hissing and clicking sounds as his Vod's did, his helmet engaged too. Before Henoc could even start to move towards the exit, Orrick asked the old Twi'lek for last minute tips and advice, not that they really needed it but it never hurt to gain a bit of insight into the work that they were about to undertake.

As Orrick swiped all the devices off the table, Vao had already assumed they'd take all the work. Which was why he usually brought the work he wanted them to specifically tackle, rather than giving them multiple options. If they had any issues with that, neither of them were very vocal about it. Standing, as the Mandalorian brothers did, Orrick asked one last question. Vao nodded. Not usually one to give out any tips or advice, at least not to such seasoned hunters, doing work specifically for him was an exception.
"Aye. Word has it that the Cartel also has put one o' thar hunters on the Tucker Vol contract. Might wants t' keep an eye on fer that...as fer the gang on Ryloth...well, I've heard o' 'em afore. They aren't fond o' takin' captives or playin' by the rules...watch yer back's out thar."
Vao was fond of the boys and their work. And they were good drinking buddies too, when the mood struck them.
"Jatne be jate'kara" (Best of luck)
Added the Twi'lek, in Mando'a.

Another hunter under the Cartel's employ? That could be interesting. Not too terribly long ago, he was also an enforcer/hunter for the Cartel. Working for the Hutts, while rewarding, financially, wasn't worth it. Being self employed or working with Vao was his preferred method. Vao gave them good assignments, with good pay, and left it up to the individual hunter as to how best complete a job. Few operational restrictions and working under your own code. That's the way it was meant to be. Sure, the Guild had its own code as well, but fortunately for Orrick, most of his own personal beliefs lined up with the Guild's rules as well. The gang on Ryloth, on the other hand, sounded like the could be a handful, if he and Henoc weren't careful. Taking a closer look at the datapad and brainstorming an approach would be beneficial to this job. Two Mandalorians, while a force to be reckoned with, weren't infallible. Anyone skilled with fighting Mandalorians knew there were particular vulnerabilities to their beskar, even if it was one of the strongest armors out there. Regardless, he and Henoc would figure out the best approach to Vao's problem on Ryloth. But not here. Nodding to Vao as he wished them luck, in Mando'a, to his surprise, he motioned for Henoc to follow him out of the Emporium's storefront....

Seated in Vao's Emporium, this time in a booth on the nightclub side, Orrick sat across from one Aurthur "Griggs "Archer. He was Vao's top Guild representative, in the Twi'lek's absence. Still clad in his beskar armor, the Mandalorian listened to Griggs."Got a special bounty for you, this time. One authorized by the big man himself, selected specifically for you." Procures a bounty puck and tracking fob. Activating the puck, revealing a Yuuzhan Vong, he continued speaking. "Target's a Vong. Slimy bastard tried starting something a few years back, but it didn't stick. Name's Zing Krul. Bring him in, alive if you can. Bounty's worth substantially more for a living target. Though dead is acceptable for a significantly lower price. No clue who wants the son of a bitch, don't particularly care either. Just know they've got...deep pockets."Griggs smirked. Normally a Vong wouldn't come across his desk, however, the person posting the bounty specifically requested it go through the Guild, and that Vao was supposed to put one of his best hunters on it. The list of active hunters whom were even remotely capable of pulling this off, was in short supply these days. So Awaud was it.Beneath his helm, Orrick eyed up the target for a few moments. Taking a Vong in alive was tough. Getting within striking distance was even harder. He'd have to do something to draw just the Vong in, without any back up. Otherwise this was going to be a very difficult task. Nodding, Orrick scooped up the puck and fob. Stashing them on his belt, he rose to his feet. Thanks for the drink, Griggs. Be seeing ya.Without waiting for a response, Orrick strode out of the Emporium and out onto the bustling streets of Port Town...

Having made his way, uneventfully, from Nal Hutta, to Port Town all the way out on the Skips in Wild Space, Orrick had docked on his usual pad, disembarked his ship and made his way to the Emporium. The proprietor of the establishment, a wizened Twi'lek, formerly a bounty hunter and mercenary himself, Jerrak Vao, was retired from actively hunting anymore, having settled into peddling information and managing the Bounty Hunter Guild's Wild Space chapter. With the club on one side of his emporium, and the store on the other side, Vao was doing incredibly well for himself. The VIP Skybox, on the Club side of the Emporium was where Orrick found himself this time. Vao was entertaining several guests of his, as well as his mercenary company, but he still made time for his hunters. Seated in a plush booth, next to the viewport that overlooked the rest of the club, Orrick sipped his drink, a glass of Corellian Whiskey on the rocks. His helmet resting on the table to his left. A holo-puck was sitting on the table, displaying an image of the golden armored Mandalorian he had encountered on Nar Shaddaa.
"Don't suppose you got any information on this fine gent, yeah?"
Asked Orrick, raising his eyebrow at the husky Twi'lek sitting across from him.

Busy was an understatement this evening. Or what passed for evening out on an asteroid. Local Chrono said it was early evening, but the club was nearly at capacity. Which was good for business. Even with the mixed bag of riff-raff that frequented his establishment. Smugglers, pirates, mercenaries, bounty hunters, thieves, contract killers...the lot of them came to the Emporium. Normally, a volatile mix, the Emporium's long standing rule of leaving your problems, rivalries and bad blood at the door was well respected. Anyone who came to this establishment knew that starting anything inside was swiftly and immediately dealt with, and then a life-time ban was leveraged. Depending on the severity, Vao could then make the person disappear or at the very least, learn a lesson. Even if he didn't have the Marauders as his personal mercenary company, he was deeply connected with significant portions of the galactic underworld. And the information that passed through his hands could make entire factions tremble, if he so chose. Galaxy changing revelations and change ups weren't his forte though. And the logistical end of toppling empires was not worth it in the end. Any information that could potentially be used to harm a faction was usually passed on to the leaders and dealt with internally, or depending on what it was, passed off to bounty hunters or mercenaries. Changing the galaxy wasn't anything Vao was interested in anyways. Governments and empires would rise and fall, but the underworld would still remain. And, in his honest opinion, having a gang or the loyalty of a dozen bounty hunters was worth more to him than the entire First Order treasury. Loyalty and respect meant more out here anyways.*
*Taking a swig from his tankard and setting it down on the table between himself and the Awaud bounty hunter across from him, Vao eyed up the hologram of the Mandalorian he was asking about. Wiping his lips, and belching, he nodded.
"Aye. I know the scallywag beneath the armor. Idron Priest. Efficient 'n ruthless, mixed wit' a coldness I ain't seen in a long time."
Vao paused a moment, then looked to Orrick, head-tails twitching.
"Mean son o' a cur. Has worked his way through a handful o' lesser Hutt Cartels, finally bein' picked up by Ajuur Cartel durin' thar leadership shakeup. He doesn't seem t' be interested in joinin' the Guild. Too..."restrictive" as he put it. Hasn't bothered me or me operations none, but he has been a pain t' some o' the Guild's hunters. Hasn't crossed any lines yet though, so I haven't been botherin' t' do anythin' about it."
Vao scratched his chin for a moment then snorted.
"Though, given his increased interference in the Guild's bounties, I'll certainly be keepin' closer tabs on 'im from now on. Watch yourself wit' this scallywag. He's more likely t' plant a blade in yer back than cover it in a firefight, shared heritage or nah."

Irdon Priest, eh? Thought Orrick to himself. Clan Priest wasn't a hugely known Mandalorian Clan. The odd member here or there could be found, but mostly they operated in silence, independent from the Assembly. Nodding as Vao spoke, Orrick swirled the amber hued liquid in his glass, then downed it. Feeling the burn as he swallowed, the aged Mandalorian replied.
" 'preciate it, Vao. I'm not looking to put a price on his head or anything. Just wanted more information on him, and make you more aware of him. Henoc and I have dealt with young bomas like him before. Kid'll more than likely get his ass handed to him by someone or something and humble up. Or he'll get dead. Either way, the problem deals with itself."
Orrick smirked at Vao. They had both been around the block a time or two to know how these types usually ended up. And, again, so long as he decided not to interfere or openly move against the Guild or Clan Awaud, Orrick wasn't concerned about him. Gently placing the glass back down on the table, Orrick picked up his helmet and placed it upon his head. The seals did a hiss-click as it sealed with the rest of his suit.
Thanks for the drink, Vao. Got a pirate to go deal with next. We'll be in touch.
And with that, Orrick nodded respectfully to Vao and turned about to leave the Emporium, heading back out to Port Town, and his waiting ship.
