Jabiim. Choal. Imperial Forward Command. Interrogation Chambers.
As the blade pierced Darius' abdomen, the dying man slumped against the bars and spoke. As the words left his lips, the whispers of the elders within his mind echoed.
Lies. Deceit...it was a trap...move! Now!
No sooner had the whispers entered his mind, he knew something was amiss. And then a faint beep came from within Darius himself. Scowling at the realization, Savage extinguished his blade, returning it to his forearm launcher and gathered the Force around him as quickly as his abilities would let him. Tensing up, Savage vaulted backwards as far as his natural strength, aided by the Force would take him. As he landed, Darius exploded. Landing at the door to the cell, all Savage had time to do was dive backwards. Though he wasn't quick enough. The shockwave from the blast caught him and sent him into the far wall outside the room where Darius had been kept. Impacting the wall hard, Savage dropped to the floor with a heavy THUD. Ears ringing, vision blurred, Savage struggled to his feet, wobbiling unsteadily. Despite the disorientation, his eyes were ablaze with fury. A fury that would now be unleashed upon Jabiim. It was time for the entire populace of the planet to feel the wrath of the Sith Lord...
Jabiim. Choal. Central Square.
The sudden appearance of several armed rebels and a lightsaber wielding foe was not a surprise to Colonel Locklear. One could only stomp down on a population so hard before the desperate few decided to try and revolt. Take away everything from someone and they had nothing left to lose. It all happened so fast, but being aided by the Force, and having been trained by both Lord Savage and his first apprentice, Amaris Jade, Locklear's skills were honed by years of training and fighting. The lightsaber pike was in his hand and the yellow blade sprang to life with its usual snap-hiss. Spinning on his heel, he brought the blade up within seconds of the enemy blade greeting his neck. The locked blades sizzled and sparked. Beneath his helmet, Locklear spoke loudly.
You are too late...maybe next time you'll just submit instead of trying to rise up against the might of us. All units, weapons free! Engage targets at will!
Grinning malevolently beneath his helm, he knew it would trigger something in this new attacker. Lightsaber pikes all around the Central Square ignited and blaster fire rang out as the First Order soldiers, along with Zhaboka Company, engaged the dissidents and civilians. Jabiim was now a war zone...

Jabiim. Choal. Central Square
High above the still heavily populated city the countless number of hijacked probe and reconnaissance droids connected to one another and began to project the same image - the image of a Bothan Jedi locked in combat with the attackers. The Jedi's vibrant orange bladed saber springing to life against the light pike of the enemy commander. The Droids continued to broadcast their message - urging the people of Jabiim that their time was here - the time to retake their capital was at hand. The People greatly outnumbered the invaders and even half starved and broken they, together, would be a force to be reckoned with. Citizens that had been crowded together shivered and shook like scared sheep as those standing around them were slaughtered but when the image of the Jedi appeared over them they felt that creeping feeling of hope in their chests once again. Those that had the strength fought - those that didn't ran... but still a large number simply sat there waiting to die while several streets away the Bothan Jedi fought on...Leaping back in a show of Bothan acrobatics he broke his saber from his opponent and extended a russet fur hand and send a force push towards his opponent - It was weak but well timed and well aimed directly at the commanders chest - perhaps enough to knock him off balance as the Jedi moved to defend the citizens, several droids buzzing around and above him - video droids that linked his image to the projectors high above. The rain continued to pelt down on him and even still he looked as though he was not wet at all, as if his dancing form in the Makashi style of combat had allowed him to dodge every raindrop that fell upon him.The people huddled behind him hesitated for a moment as he began deflecting the bolts aimed at them. he didn't speak at all - their silent savor simply stood there in their defense - surrounded, helplessly outnumbered, fighting with all his strength for them ... strangers, people he would never know or even care about. Why?
Jabiim. Forward Command Center. Interrogation Chambers.
Following the explosion within the chamber several recon droids flew into the room searching for the remains of the Sith General to display for the public - instead they found the Sith struggling to his feet, sizziling slightly from the explosion but all together unharmed. The droids formed a Tripod formation and projected the Image of Shadow Standing at attention before the staggered Sith. His voice was soft but clear as he addressed the Sith.
"You will pay for what you have done today, The Jedi have come for you. He awaits in the city square... unless you are to much of a coward to fight him."
There was a sound that held a similarity to laughter echoing from the recon droids as they began to blink and peep rapidly - yet another sign of their eventual overload and within a few more seconds the three droids exploded in front of the Sith, leaving him plenty of time to jump back or push them away. yet when the smoke cleared the image of the jedi projecting the people - the one that was waiting for him was clear all above the command center - all above the Gleaming night sky. A beacon of hope for the people of Jabiim

An average citizen could endure much before they broke - an average citizen would huddle with their compatriots and die rather than fight - An average citizen would not rally to a slim glimmer of hope - Jabiim's capital city was full of average citizens that day. Dying by the hundreds the citizens of Choal huddled under the oppressive arm of the First Order and the rain. The Recon droids continued to broadcast the message of rebellion, the promise of hope - rebellion's were built on hope - but not here, not on Jabiim. The Galactic Alliance had abandoned the citizens of Choal - the Jedi had abandoned them... and now only one fought for their defense, fought for their freedom.
The Bothan tilted his head slightly at the order being given - he had wasted enough time with the Peon before him, competent or otherwise. Sending another force push towards the Shadowtrooper in the time it took to pass his order the Jedi waved the citizens behind him away and at his motion they fled into the ally ways and into the gutters, or even into the streets themselves to be shot down by the First Order troopers. When the citizens had scattered - the Bothan was gone.
The Recon droids began to loop the footage of the Jedi's fight with the words from Shadow continuing in vain effort urge the citizens of Jabiim to fight for their freedom - to fight for even their right to live as it seemed the First Order was more interested in slaughtering them than forcing them into an already won submission. A few younger - and more brazen citizens of Choal had gathered together and had somehow acquired a few blasters - no doubt taken at great cost from the troopers garrisoned nearby when the fighting had begun - and now they had barricaded themselves near the Cafe where the small and inconsequential rebellion had all begun. They were singing out with blaster fire and battle cries against the First Order urging their people to fight with them. They had the bravery of soldiers each and every one ready and willing to give their lives for their city, for their people and for the ideals that had been denied to them under the reign of the First Order. Here it would end for them, but still they fought on... and still, even with the presence of the Jedi fighting in the streets, Shadow was no where to be seen.

Jabiim - ruins of Choal - 2 days after Empire Day
The First Order had done a good job of rounding up the citizens of Jabiim, the resistance that the two shadowalker's had attempted to form had crumbled the day prior to Empire Day. The promise that shadow had made had come to fruition, it had saved them all from the wrath and tyranny of the First Order... No one that had been within the city walls had survived, and only a handful had made it out. Those that had, made their way to the nearest entrance to the mines only to find it had been sealed from the explosion. Baring anything better they had sat there and watched their city.
In the late hours of the night the Jedi were said to have come to save Jabiim, Shadow had appeared again and told the people to fight. A battle had begun within the city walls, the people had risen up in vein against their oppressors and they had been slaughtered in droves by the dark troopers that had followed the Sith Lord. It was said that a Jedi had been seen defending some of the citizens, and in the late of the night he had even faced off with the Sith Lord himself. They fought upon the battlements of the fort surrounded by a dozen Recon droids all projecting their battle into the skies above, it could be seen for miles. The Jedi had made a good showing for himself, but it was clear he was no match for the Sith Lord - in fact something did not seem right about him at all. He had taken several marks upon his body - saber, lightning, debris - but nothing seemed to mar his appearance. The rain was coming down but he did not seem in the least bit wet. Blood coated the ground, but none appeared on his body. He fought hard for the defense of the city but in the end it became more and more clear the Sith would win, it was only a matter of time - it seemed clear the Sith was toying with him.
The Jedi's end was near, the storm over Choal had intensified the lightning illuminating the image of the Destroyer that loomed over the city. The troopers had corralled the last pockets of resistance into specific areas, areas that had been targeted by the Destroyer and within moments the capital ships turbo lasers had turned them to ash. The Troopers quickly retreated to the base and had begun evac to the ship above while the ship continued to systematically destroy the city. Hope was quickly fading for Choal, the only shred of it left was the view of the Jedi still fighting for them in the sky above, falling to his knees before the Sith Lord. The Bothan's skin rippled and then vanished revealing the stealth suit of Shadow, ripped and torn, half covered in saber burns and blood, his striking blue eyes staring up at the Zabrak in one last show of defiance.
The projections from the recon droids cut out before the deathblow was struck, but the last hope for the city was gone. They were handed over to the fire now, and the fire was coming down upon them. What they could not see however was the ship coming down through the lightning. The well placed proton beams that cut the destroyer's shields and momentarily cut its power. The tech was old, taken from the Chiss destroyers that had brief capability of bypassing shield tech but it could not cause any real harm. What it did give them was time away from their targeting computers to drop into hover mode over the base. The landing ramp came down and a figure wearing a dark trench coat fell from the ramp followed soon after by 5 heavily armed and armored clone commandos, all of which opened fire upon the Sith Lord. Altair engaged the Sith alone while the five troopers pulled out Shadow two of them activating their jump packs to return the injured shadowalker to the ship. Altair was giving the Sith Lord everything he had, every trick pulled out, every weapon he had brought to bear against the Sith. The Zabrak seemed to be taken off guard for a moment and was on the defensive but that wouldn't last long. The three remaining troopers took up defensive positions and the moment Altair fell back they gave the Sith hell once again, and then as one all four of them took to the skies, Altair's Jet boots sending him up burning themselves clear of fuel to return him to the ship. The recon droids split up half flying towards the ship, the other half towards the Sith exploding one by one to cover their escape. They were a mere nuisance and the Sith was onto their game now, and with an arc of splitered lightning they all were gone and he simply looked up with narrowed red eyes as the ship vanished - its cloaking tech taking over before the Sith could engage or the Destroyer could lock them. In and all the extraction took only a handful of moments, and then they were gone... leaving Choal to its fate, and taking the story of what happened here with them.

Defiance. Against the order the First Order had tried to bring to Jabiim. A minor set back, but one that soured Savage's outlook slightly. Jabiim was precious in the sense of the materials it possessed. It's civilians were unimportant. Those that had fought against the First Order had either been killed or imprisoned. Those that remained, were strangely complient to the commands of the overseers. Which made restoring order much easier. Having suffered losses, the First Order High Admiral had retreated with his forces, back to his ship. Resupplying the garrison stationed in Choal, there was nothing left for the Sith Lord to do. Having nearly defeated the Bothan Jedi and his extraction team single-handedly, it was time to leave and make a report with the Supreme Commander. Jabiim was a sign. There was much more organization to this resistance than met the eye. A challenge, to be sure, the Sith was utterly exhausted now that the adrenaline had wore off. Muscles ached, tendons screamed in protest and joints were stiff. But he had emerged victorious. Nothing a stint in a bacta-tank couldn't fix. Now that the ordeal that had engulfed Choal had been pacified, the High Admiral collected his apprentice and any others and vacated the Forward Command Center. Choal, and Jabiim as a whole, would forever be marked by what had transpired there. It would spark controversy and outrage both. For those in support of the First Order, it would be a rallying cry that the Resistance was real, and a threat. For those opposed, it would serve to strengthen their resolve and prove that the First Order employed monsterous beings to carry out its goals. Neither side would come off as the hero in the other sides eyes. But what was done was done. Reckless and bloody, Jabiim would remain under First Order control, continuing to mine resources to fuel the First Order war machine against the Resistance...

With the aftermath of the Battle of Jabiim and the withdrawal from First Order troops within the sector, Jabiim would have formed over time its own, small militia force over the planet, keeping so far a neutral side within future conflicts. Things would change though for the worse, when the Dark Side once more reaches out for controll over this planet.
As the Quarren Dominion landed their troops outside the outskirts of Choal, deploying the first artillery lines, unbeknownst to the local forces, it was at first a shock to the local commander and their soldiers that the enemy has already formed up formations. Nontheless the siege for the capital would be dire, as the defenders would assemble along their own turret lines whatever they have in store: tanks and walkers from the former Galactic Alliance mostly, but also some leftover vehicles from the times of the Clone Wars era, including 2 AT-TEs and a 2 HAVw A6 Juggernauts along with several AATs. With support from bombers of the orbiting fleet, the commanding officers of the Quarren Dominion were confident that they could take the capital, as they had the advantage in numbers. Yet unlike other locations on the planet, the subjugation of Jabiim's current gouvernment would nontheless be a tough task in terms of time.

With the battles else where on the planet drawing to there bloody ends, it was time for Vh'Atle to make their play. Released from C'thyl's ship in a drop pod that landed outside the city, only one life form emerged. The horrendous monster made it's way silently across the no-mans-land and toward the unsuspecting city. Moving as a shadow, none of the enemies spotted the monster, as it slipped by them all. Once inside the city, the real fun would begin. It found a dark nook in one of the sewers and began using its abilities to manipulate the fears of those in the area. Soon panic was sown even deeper within the population. Spurred on when the beast would rise at night and slaughter an entire apartment complex, before retreating back to the dark and brackish waters that flowed under the city. Thus fear took hold of the city in a way far greater than just impending attack could.

The old woman moved through the rain slowly, the fray hem of her garments dragging through the muddy puddles, the plop of her cane in the mud punctuating her stilted gait. The rain never stopped, or never stopped for long, yet she still had needs to attend. Food to barter for, things to see to. The children who would gather at her doorstep in the evening drizzle would want some hot food to go with her stories, and of late, the crowd had grown. She fed them what she could, and sent them back into the night to be her eyes and ears.
She never told them the outlet for the information they gathered, and most of them only took her for a kindly old woman who shared stew for idle gossip. Oh but patrol schedules and overheard conversations were never so pedestrian.
She could look up freely as she moved through the crowds, most citizens of Choal would never meet her eye, for most people would rather turn from the downtrodden, and the dirt and mud on her cloak only helped to camouflage her from anyone who might have known what they were looking for. The lines on her face were deeper now, the irises losing their dark color as age advanced upon her. Beneath the hood, and the mangle of salty grey hair in her face, she wore the scars and grime of a life scraped from the gutter.
She managed to make her way to her corner, the one where she could watch the marketplace, with a bit of roof jutting out from the building to keep the rain off her head, and set herself down on the overturned basket she had brought with her. With one bony hand on her cane, she began to hum to herself, chanting to the rhythm of the drops as she begged for another day's meal and watched the people of Choal pretend she doesn't exist.

The siege of ChoalWith news of the Monsoon Mesa's capture, the massive army at Choal's outer territories had already seized smaller portions of the city, including the slum areas. As the first Dominion walkers of the Niggurath- and Artillery-class were deployed within the ruins of the conquered zones in order to progress the siege, orders were given out to ignore the local population unless they become a threat for the own soldiers during the siege. Noone really cared for those, who lived within the slum areas and thus it was only an advantage to see the mass of beggars assaulting the barricades of the Jabiimi gouvernment, as they pleaded for aid, safety and protection within the inner areas of the city. It benefitted the Dominion one way or another, as the orbital blockade would soon starve out the capital's population. The enemy army was already overwhelmed enough with the Quarren's assault upon their planet, most of their planetary forces in disarray - to think that they would also be able to avoid another catastrophe was unlikely. From the distance, atop one of the slum's abbandoned huts in which solely a few hopeless souls stayed for the night, C'Thyl watched the armies' approach, as they would slowly wash away the enemies' defense lines with Artillery and tank shells, their manpower solving the rest. Choal was a moloch, a symbol of a nation's progress and failure. The vast ammount of the planet's minerals and thus the resulting industry had always divided the society of the planet over the course of time, as the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil Wars was dominated by both the factions of the Loyalists and Nationalists. The Prophet hardly cared which of the two sides was mainly in power of the planet, for it did not matter for his future plans. Like many other worlds, Jabiim would become another beacon of the Dark Side, it's machinery being destined to produce more minerals for the ever-hungering Dominion. The rescources of Jabiim would fund a new generation of droid armies for future battles alongside ammunition, weapons and other military vehicles. Thus it's capture was vital and the first test of the Dominion's ground forces, whether they could master the challenges, bestowed upon them or fall back into the darkness from which they were born. So far the cycle of creation and destruction was maintained, the Way of the Dark once more would lead them to victory.
As C'Thyl turned around from the scenery in front of him, the burning metropolis at night, he looked down into the streets to see some of the Quarren troopers telling a begging child to move away. The Quarren sorcerer's eyes briefly met the ones of the child, as he could estimate the potential. Scared, the beggar child ran away, assumingly hoping that it could avoid these scary men and the mysterious robed man, whose glare alone felt like a horrific cold. Yes, the seed would be good, as the Force is strong in some of them. They will become scholars of the Dark, one way or another, once the slaughter has ended.

With Monsoon Mesa quelled and under Dominion control, Shaxad was transported across Jabiim. His massive hulking form rose up from within the attacking forces, his giant gaping jaws hung upon as energy in the form of a red flame spewed forth into the air. Choal was the final bastion of power that resisted Dominion control, and he would do everything to see it felled as quickly as possible. He reached out his consciousness across the city, invading every mind possible I am Shaxad, God of the Depths! Lay down your weapons and despair at the might of my army! Your walls will crumble, your monuments will be torn asunder! Bow to me, and you shall be spared! Resist, and all shall be devoured! Your leaders sit upon gilded thrones as false kings, sacrificing you like pawns! Let them receive their rewards and join the Dominion!

As Shaxad's mind reached a large portion of the population, the next hours of the siege would become more bloody for the defenders, as crazed people began to attack friend and foe alike. Soldiers began shooting civilians with a crazy expression within their eyes, before running upon the open battlefield, just to get mercilessly shot by Dominion soldiers, who simply held the trenches and roads at the outskirts of the capital in preparation for a larger assault. Only a few hundred among the poorest of the poor, who already feared nothing, would follow the call of the Old God. Those, whom the Great One touched mentally felt the portion of the Prophet's dream, the dream of Azatoth becoming slowly reality within regular thought processes. Many among the Jabiimi would be shaken by the pure force presence within the area, others kept for the moment quite, but for the moment it solely weakened the gouvernment's military forces briefly. The defenders would remain as they were, besieged with guarded barricade after barricade leading up to the gouvernment's current seat within this time of crisis.

Reaching the outskirts of the city, the Chaotic Revelation flew overhead, the team aboard scouting the situation, awaiting orders on what to do next. Yet, as the information came in regarding the progression of the troops into the city, Kelam gave orders to simply watch over the battlefield. If all was going well, there was little need for them to become involved. They remain in the air and watch, waiting for if the time came in which he'd need to intervene.

Vh'Atle had continued in much the same was as prior. But now he stalked military camps. Leaving disemboweled bodies in sleeping rolls for comrades to find in the mornings. The blood he spilled had little impact on the numerical side of battle, but it was hard for soldiers to sleep, wondering if each night they'd die gruesomely in their sleeps. The nightmare creature reveled in the fear he could sense from his hiding spots. Soon though his hunting grounds moved. Now they defenders held a tight perimeter around the last vestiges of order in the city. The monster probed the area for secret access into the building itself, but it would take time. A tunnel had been collapsed and he had to attempt to shift the rubble out of the way. But if he could enter the compound... he shuddered with glee at the squishy and unprepared that waited inside.

If all was going well, there was little need for them to become involved. They remain in the air and watch, waiting for if the time came in which he'd need to intervene. As time passed on, the Jabiimi would become desperate, eventually sending out those aircrafts remaining in order to stop the frequent Dominion bomber runs, launched from orbit. Eventually a squadron of Belbullab-22 Starfighters would be sent out to hunt for the.Dominion's Trilobites , showing more success with this task than previous fighter runs. With the current Jabiimi military having already presented in the past an arsenal of old Clone Wars tech from both major war factions it still seemed as if they had some surprises up their sleeves. Thus it was not surprising that one of the sorcerers would inform the Chaotic Revelation about these starfighters, mentioning that the Prophet has faith in Kelam's abilities to get rid of them, if the Dominion's sheer might wouldn't be enough to extinquish any further resistance. It wasn't necessarily an order and due to his rank, Kelam could solve the matter in multiple ways, having access to commanding all of the Prophet's starfighters if he had to. Overall it wasn't a major problem, but one that would enlengthen the siege more than necessary, if more bombers were shot down.
Although the tunnel entrance looked like it was closed up permanently and would remain that way without the help of larger machinery, there were few hints of burrowed steel beams inbetween the rocks. Even though they had collapsed they could make the task of getting into the building complex easier, as they would still hold the weight of the mass over them, if Vh'atle would be careful. Given their force-sensitive abilities, the Lurker could easily move away some of the larger boulders, if necessary. Through a few spots inbetween Vh'atle would also notice that the tunnel behind the collapsed area was still present, an empty dark corridor with no light, offering only shelter for a few crates now.

As they flew overhead, the call came through regarding the situation with the bombers. Having that it was a request for aid and not an order, Rika turned to Kelam, ready to receive his orders and to aid Voron in whatever he needed from her.
Sitting cross-legged in the command chair, head propped on his hand, he gave a nod. <<Redirect course to aid the bombers. Order a squad of fighters to form up on our position and assist with the defense of the bombing runs. Let us show them how futile their attempts are.>>
Rika nodded and turned back to her console, inputting the coordinates of the bombers locations before issuing the call for a squad of starfighters to join up, providing the same coordinates. Navigating the ship, Voron accelerated to accompany the bombers as quickly as possible. As they approached, the enemy fighters could be seen before them as they worked to shoot the Dominion ships down.
Kelam didn't so much as move as his next command came. <<Show them the way to everlasting darkness.>>
It was all the order they needed as Bellek and Rodirc began to unleash the power of the quad laser cannons. Coming up from behind as quickly as they did allowed for them to bring down a few in a single pass before the enemy began to scatter. As Voron found a target and began pursuit with the modified heavy laser cannons, the gunners worked to cover the field around them as the requested squadron of fighters arrived, forcing the enemy to completely disperse as new dogfights began.

Being caught on the wrong foot, the Belbullab-squadron would lose two of their starfighters straight away to the unknown ship, which seemed to appear out of nowhere alongside the Dominion's Amphibious fighters and Kokad Interceptors. Further orders were bellowed by the squad leader to take down the new ship, when the dog fights began. At this moment it was clear that the pilots weren't necessarily aces, but still capable enough to withhold the interceptor's attacks while having a slight advantage over the Mon Calamari fighters. Another Belbullab went down in the following engagement, while two of the Interceptors exploded. Despite their previous losses, the enemy squadron recovered from its previous mistakes and attempts to retreat near the safety of Choal's highest buildings to use them as cover for further surprise attacks - yet they would soon be outnumbered, if the Chaotic Revelation wouldn't end their suffering beforehand.

Kelam’s ship didn’t go without taking some fire from the enemy as it sought to continue its assault on the fighters. Chasing one was a task, considering they were a bit faster and more maneuverable. Still, Voron wasn’t going to let snot nose pilots show him up. He pushed the craft in pursuit of a running fighter, releasing shot after shot from the heavy laser cannons. As he did, Roma locked on with a pair of concussion missiles before firing that took chase, bringing it down shortly after.
Belle and Rodirc focused on the sides and rear to keep it safe from the enemy and help dwindle the numbers further, though the faster fighters did get in a few hits. However, this was a vessel built to military standards. It’s hull and shields were more powerful than normal and quite durable.
Before long, they attempted to retreat with the Chaotic Revelation close behind. It was the. Then that the requested squad of fighter appeared and joined with Kelam and the line assault of the retreat began. From there, the bombers could more directly focus on their attacks.

Shaxad continued to draw himself closer and closer to the city as blaster bolts flew through the air and did nothing against the thick hide of the great Behemoth. His maws fell open as he let out a thunderous roar, arcane energy took physical form and crackled through the air. He had hoped to put a much more expeditious end to this siege. Yet it had not. It was not a particularly concerning outcome. It just meant more poor souls for him to devour. Something he was actively doing as he moved closer and closer into range of the defending forces. His massive tentacles reached out across fortifications and plucked soldiers from their positions and pulled apart armoured walkers

As the creature examined his surroundings more closely, he found his way in. Shifting just the right rocks, he managed to slip between them. Now he was beneath the last point of order. Of his knowledge of these surface dwellers, most buildings of this size and kind had an exit from the sewer system into the lower levels. No doubt the fools thought their little collapse would keep this flank safe. But not from the hunter. His movements were silent and precise. Finding the ladder up into the cellar he climbed and slowly lifted the cover of the manhole. It was abandoned save for some supply creates. Floating up into the room he examined the creates. Food and medical supplies. If his face still aloud him to smile he would. Ducking back down into the sewer system, he retrieved filth and refuse. Smearing the supplies and infecting them with the excrement would insure a shorter siege. If he didn't kill the inhabitants first. He would wait for the first person to enter this dark cellar, then they would die. Silently but violently.
