The Corellian Dreadnaught, also known as the Berethron-class Dreadnaught, named after the famously known King Berethron e Solo, who introduced democracy to Corellia, during the Golden Age of the Old Republic, is a capital ship developed by the Corellians during the Second Galactic Civil War. Developed in secret at the Kiris Shipyards, it was widely utilized by the Confederation Navy, a nation that Corellia was a part of during the war. The warship was designed as a close-quarters vessels, armed to the teeth with turbolaser batteries and missile launchers that had a heavy presence across its hull. It was widely believed that the ship had at least twice the firepower of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, making it a very deadly and powerful warship for the Confederation Navy.
Designed as a frontline vessel, the Corellian Dreadnaught was an impressive specimen of the sector’s engineering, technological and military prowess at the time. It sported 60 heavy turbolaser batteries, 60 medium turbolaser batteries and 50 proton torpedo launchers. Along with this impressive armament, the warship carried a complement of 7,000 soldiers and 72 starfighters.
