Kessendra Stadium was a large open-air sports arena located on the edge of the capital city of Kessendra on the planet Kessel. Access to the stadium could be gained by one of two main thoroughfares, Spice Mines Avenue and Slave Lord Boulevard. The Stadium was frequently used to sponsor gladiatorial war games. Slaves from the Kesselian spice mines were forced to participate in lethal combat, while gamblers from all across the galaxy placed huge wagers on the outcome.
Today was to be no different, there was indeed a battle going on. Most of the combatants being slave miners of the current leader for the "planet" some however were not. No matter who you were though you were painted either red or blue. As luck would have it Panno was painted red, keeping the armour from having to be repainted after this. Why he was here was anybodies guess. Maybe he was kidnapped, perhaps it was his own choice. It did not matter though, for he had a step up from all his other warriors. He was the most armoured out of all of them and had the best weapons as well, it seemed to add a bit of chance to this battle the benefactors had allowed the slaves to bring their own weapons. Most had sledge hammers used to mine, or home made weapons. Others had swords, knives or axes. Maybe it just came down to saving a few dollars.
Panno stood in the middle of the two raging armies with his silver lightsaber in hand. Swinging through a sword aimed at him, the lightsaber cut through the mans shoulder. He not only intended to survive this but be named the MVP of the match. It was rumoured that the winner this time would be granted some sort of prize beyond survival. Of course that would mean he had to stand out, and that many of his fellow reds would have to die. Still as his brothers fell he fought on, cutting, stabbing, slashing and once actually biting a mans neck open.

Wide winged C-9979 landing craft painted in purple could be seen over the city, descending down through the toxic smog belched from the exhaust stacks of spice and coaxium refineries set up across the city, where those transports came in for a landing in the large open space of the Kessendra Stadium. Since the planet had fallen to the maniacal forces of the Sith Eternal, the stadium had largely been used for gladiatorial games of blood sport to entertain the spice addicted crowds, or for Blurrg Ball League (BBL) matches that were broadcast all across the Outer Rim. In fact the stadium was slatted to host the first playoff game between the Ison Ice Wyrms and the Pzob Porkers, a team comprised entirely of gamorreans. As one landing craft set down after the other, it soon became clear that the reason the location was picked was because it was the only site in the entire capital large enough to host so many ships at once. Even the starport would have struggled with the sheer number of frigate sized landing craft occupying so much real-estate on the ground.Armed spice troopers in pinkish-purple plastoid stood sentinel around the arena as hover-trucks and tankers rolled in with full loads of processed spice converted into aerosol form and stored within pressurized tanks. Spice-gas canisters in a wide variety of shapes and sized were loaded aboard the transports, stacked and stored wherever they could find room. Once a C-9979 reached its maximum storage capacity, it rose back up into the air and got into cue in orbit where a caravan of ships was waiting, each similarly loaded to max capacity.Even the Mad Count himself, Lorenzo VonDragenfel, made a rare appearance at the stadium with a small cadre of Spice Knights. The Count was escorted around the impromptu air field by a half dozen armed knights, each garbed in coats of blaster resistant chainmail and Sith iron plate armour, mounted on the backs of ferocious Ubese thorn-back war dragons. As for the Count, he hovered above the ground on a one-man sand skimmer, its quiet repulsors keeping the depraved haemonculai a full head above even his men who towered over the soldiers and labourers on the backs of their saddled beasts.Originally the spice produced in the mines of Kessel had been the Sith's objective, with the intent to sell the narcotics produced there for a tidy profit to support the Sith Eternal war machine, but over time another use for the highly addictive substance became clear. Why go to the effort of conquering a world's population through violent means when it was so much easier to get them hooked on spice and extort them into compliance. Many of the Spice Troopers currently standing guard around the stadium were actually former citizens who had become lost to the spice, their minds rotted away, with their only desire being that next hit of sinfully sweet spice. As the saying went, 'everything is spice'.
