The Dark Times, a site-wide RP idea W.I.P.

While this isn’t strictly a “Site wide RP idea” I thought that if commonly accepted by our writers, it might provide a compelling backdrop to our universe. My thought is this: that the galactic holonet, and the series of interstellar communication relays that have allowed near instantaneous communication and transfer of data throughout the galaxy have been disabled/destroyed. This has plunged the galaxy into darkness and uncertainty. Atronavigational charts cannot be updates or widely distributed meaning that interstellar commerce and travel outside of star clusters has been crippled. Only the wealthiest and most resilient planets/ galactic factions are able to maintain hyperspace beacons, communication relays, data transfers, and the semblance of stability.


I’d like to work shop this idea with any folks who might think there’s some merit to this. So feel free to write our suggestions or critiques and if this isn’t a super popular idea I can just follow through with my own musings in the Journal of the Whills
