First, the ship is noticeably smaller, sitting at only 95.2 meters, while the second change is the lack of any armament. Because the Tempest was meant to be an exploration vessel it lacks any sort of armament, but makes up for it with stealth capabilities, speed and agility and strong shields. Capable of carrying a significant amount of cargo for its size, at 2500 metric tons, the Tempest is state of the art and almost completely self sufficient.
