While the Sith King continued to produce his whirlwind of texts for Malvus, I silently read through the first few pages of the tome I grabbed for myself. Most of what I could make out in this ancient book was dated around the high of the Sith Empire, so how could have Shadow have known of it? And just how was I suppose to apply this knowledge without the actual power to do so? I may have been a Sith with knowledge beyond my years thanks to Shadow, but I had no idea how to actually apply Sith Magic of this magnitude. A tired sign escaped passed my lips as I shut the book and brought my right hand up to massage my forehead. My mind drifted back to my rather brief conversation with Shadow before he sent me back to the physical realm. He had told me to keep the knowledge he forcefully implanted into my mind to myself. But why? And even if I wanted to tell someone about what was happening to me, how would I go about doing it? Would I really tell someone of the mental invasions I was undergoing from a Being within the realm of the Dead? I could imagine myself being labeled a lunatic and put into soldiery confinement. Just the thought of being imprisoned like that turned my stomach upside down and set my head into a light daze. Before I left that thought cement itself deep within my conscious, I caught movement out of the corner of my eyes. Well, the lack of movement, I should say.
I lowered my hand and turned my attention to Malvus and noticed that the Sith King finally produced what my master wanted. I watched him with curious eyes as Malvus seemed to inspect the book then turned sharply in my direction. My still red eyes gazed up toward the Red Sith as he approached me and mentioned that it was time to leave. After giving him a confirming nod< I pulled myself up from the cold ground and kept a watchful eye on the Sith King as we made our way out of the large chamber. When I finally decided to take my eyes off the old specter, I sense something through the Force. Something was moving our way, no doubt caused by the Sith King while he created his whirlwind of books. My red pupils dilated, my muscles tensed, and my thoughts swam with caution and anticipation as Malvus and I made our way out of the King's central tomb. If a fight was coming, I would be prepared for it.

Malvus conjured up some force energy to add his movements as he darted forward. He didn't want to wait to see what was approaching them, but if the Sith could guess, it was mostly like the undead remnants of the Sith King's royal guard. He didn't look back to know that Sarah was closely following him. At a juncture, Malvus halted and turned to look at the way they came. The Sith relaxed his muscles for a moment and then raised both hands. Cracks in the rock were heard as Malvus forced earth out of place and eventually caused rubble to crumble around the entrance.
That should slow them...
He immediately turns away and once more, using the force, amplifies his speed as he rushes for the cave. Malvus did not fear these undead creatures, but to delay would only bring more of the Sith King's schemes to light. His force sensitivity spiked as they approached the entrance. He raised his hand to stop his apprentice. A bellow came from behind them.
STOP THEM YOU FOOLS!! KILL THE INTRUDERS!!
The anger of the Sith King's phantom roared through the tunnel like a wave of dark energy. From neighboring caverns, gleaming red eyes suddenly popped up. The shuffling of shambling feet and the clanking of heavy armor was heard as undead, armed to the teeth, came into view. There were undead dressed in the clothing of generals, commanders, members of the royal guard and even standard bearers. Malvus drew his lightsaber.
We just have to fight through them. Do not delay in trying to more than you need to down. Once we get to the entrance, we will be safe. Understood?
Not even waiting for an answer, Malvus sprung into action, slashing off the sword arm of a charging general and then crushing his skull with the force. The Sith darted away for a moment before releasing a wave of force lightning upon a trio that approached the pair.

My eyes remained upon the Sith King until he was out of my view. At that point, I turned my attention to the darkness ahead of Malvus and I and proceeded to follow my master out of this tomb. Finally. I had no desire to stay within this dreadful place any longer and I believed some of that distaste rubbed off on Lord Malvus. While we walked pass the various remains of skeletal bodies and scattered text, my left thumb brushed back and forth along the Sith engravings along the spin of the anicent tome. If used correctly, the knowledge within this very book could bring about the return of Shadow to the realm of the living. But was this something I wanted? I had to admit that something otherworldly was compelling to follow Shadow's instructions, but did I really want to bring back something more powerful than I could ever imagine? What if Shadow suddenly turned on me after receiving his physical body? But from the knowledge implanted in my head by Shadow, my life was meant for this. From the day I was born to now, I was meant to reach into the afterworld and pull Shadow's soul back into this world. Apparently, Shadow knew his death was coming and made plans to one day return by using me as some sort of a tool. But why did It have to be me? Surely there could have been others who are much more powerful and whom have a stronger connection to the Dark Side than I do, but why did he pick me? And why did my mother agree with a stranger's dark plan? Maybe Shadow wasn't a stranger to my mother before he died. Maybe she knew of him and agreed to plan after being paid. Then again...maybe she was forced against her will and didn't want her child to be influenced by a Sith Lord.
Despite what really happened all those years ago, I had to live with reality: I became exactly what Shadow wanted, a Sith bent on learning more about the Dark Side of the Force and Sith Magic itself. However, Shadow did guarantee me one thing: If I was able to successfully bring him back into this world, he would bestow upon me the knowledge and power he gained during the years of his First Life. Maybe it was too good to be true, but with an offer like that, I'd have to be a fool to turn it away. And besides, who's to say I won't grow powerful enough to defeat him after I've brought him back? That thought alone brought a smirk to my lips, but when Malvus suddenly paused, the smirk faded. I paused along side him and glanced him with a rather curious expression on my face. I then felt a pull on the Dark Side and watched Malvus raise both of his hands toward the ceiling. The surrounding area shifted slightly as Malvus then used the Force to cave in the hallway behind us. Broken sandstone and rubble lay behind us after the cave in but before I could even ask why Malvus decided to cut us off from that stockpile of ancient texts, he shot off ahead with near impossible speed. For a moment, I was left standing near the rubble with a confused look upon my face. My eyes suddenly flashed red as I pulled upon the dark Side of the Force to quicken my own movements. Everything around me seemed to blur out of existence as I sprinted with the Force and caught up to the Red Sith ahead of me. As we approached the entrance, I felt a smile pulling at the corners of my mouth. Finally! We would be able to get out of this dark tomb and maybe even leave the planet of Korriban behind. But to crush my dreams, Malvus shot up his hand, which caused me to come to a jogging stop. A cloud of dust and sand settled behind me as I listened to the bellow from the Sith King deeper within the tomb. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed red orbs coming into view. The moment I recognized them, I reached down with my right hand and grabbed the hilt of my lightsaber from my hip. As I brought it up to bear, my thumb jabbed down hard on the activator, which ignited the red blade with a loud hiss snap!
The Clothing of these new Sith Undead were different from the ones we encountered before. I noticed badges and marks of office, which menat that these very men were once officers and generals in the Sith Empire. A hate filled sneer stretched on my lips as I looked upon the newly arrived Undead with disgust. How dare that so called Sith King turn this men into his rotting slaves? Anger coursed throughout my body as I began to pull upon the Dark Side of the Force. I could feel the Dark Energy swarming and creeping along the surface of my skin, which was rather soothing in the dark, dry surroundings of this tomb. Malvus then spoke to me, telling me that we were to make for the entrance and not fully engage the Undead. He then leaped into the fray, his lightsaber flashing back and forth as he made his attack. Dark Side Energies crackled around my left hand as I centered my power there for my next attack. I used my deep hatred for Shadow's ability to invade and disrupt my life to fuel the fire burning deep within the core of my very dark soul. I may not be able to attack Shadow himself, but this sure would allow me to vent some of my displaced anger. A certain Sith Undead, who happened to be dressed like a High General or something close to that rank, noticed me and stumbled in my direction. Its dreadful wail struck deep within the base of my spinal code as he lifted his arms and attempted to reach out and grab me. I lifted my left hand and faced my palm toward the center mass of his body and released some of the energy I had been gathering. The Force Blast erupted from my my hand and utterly destroyed the Undead's head, shoulders, and parts of its upper chest. The now disfigured body collapsed before me as I blurred myself in the direction of the entrance. Every Undead creature that stood between me and my goal found its head quickly removed from the rest of its body thanks to my saber.

Malvus drove himself through the horde of elite undead that were between where they entered the room and the exit. The Sith jumped left and right with an elegant grace. To him, fighting was style of dance; fluid movements and quick reflexes ensured he lived and gave him pleasure as he outmatched his foes with agility and speed. His maneuvers, slightly aided by the usage of the Force, made him blur from left to right, slash from foe to foe without even pausing in his stride. There was a dark grace to how Malvus fought.
His free hand crackled with Sith Magic, power that had been nurtured over a few thousand years of his life. His skill with the sorcery of the Sith Order and powers of the Dark Side revealed to all the prowess the Sith was as both a warrior and a sorcerer. His left hand crackled loudly as a boom of Force Lightning wiped out, striking a formation of what appeared to phalanx soldiers. The shields broke with such force and the formation crumbled in an instant. He shifted left and struck a halberd-wielding undead straight through the middle before dispatching the foe's arms. His hand lashing out again as yet another boom was heard and felt; a Force Blast crashing into a small group of charging undead. Malvus was in his prime of excitement fighting against such odds.
Eventually, Malvus managed to crave his way through the horde with his apprentice following shortly behind. At the entrance, the Sith set his lightsaber to his side and raised his arms. Loud cracks were heard as rock was broken and forced apart; crumbles falling to the ground as the power of the Dark Side did its work to the surrounding rock formations. The Sith grunted as the weight behind to build upon his arms. Then with the swift movement of his feet, the Sith jumped back and let the rock fall upon the entrance. The angry bellow of the Sith King heard from the depths of the tomb as the rock fell, preventing the undead from following the pair and barring the entrance with crumbled rock. The Sith Lord slowly rose to his feet and gazed at the work he had done. His gaze turned to his apprentice who, like him, was covered in dust from the collapsing rumble.
We will depart from this place, Sarah. We are returning to my base on Eriadu...there, you shall be granted a Darth title. A sign of you becoming my official apprentice and as a sign of how impressed I am with your skills, even for an apprentice.

With Malvus engaged in open combat with the Undead Sith that swarmed around us, I continued to fight my way back to the entrance of the tomb. I could see the faint light in the distance, but I had to get through these zombie-like creatures before reaching the exit. Several pairs of Undead hands attempted to grab me and halt my progress, but quickly found their head removed from their bodies with a swift flash of my humming lightsaber. The training I received from my late master kicked into overdrive as I slipped the tip of my lightsaber into the head of one enemy while unleashing Force Lightning with the other. Yet, when I fought against the horde alongside Lord Malvus, I felt concern within the fear reaches of my mind. It wasn't the waves of Undead Soldiers threatening to overcome and kill both Malvus and I. It was the fact that my entire fighting style had changed to something I've never experienced before. Instead of my usual rush in and fight without formulating a plan, I was moving with calculated speed and tactics. I felt as if I was not the one controlling the very movement of my body as my lightsaber decapitated yet another undead Sith officer. In the hasty moments it took to remove the being's head from the rest of its body, I was already dashing up toward the entrance with Force Speed propelling me.
I finally reached the entrance just seconds after Mavlus and turned to glance back at the wailing horde of undead warriors. It was a sad sight, really. These were once men and women who served with honor and dignity, and this is how they were rewarded for their service. It's such a shame to see people turned into puppets, but they were no longer people. They were tools and slaves to the Sith King, whom continued to bellow from deep within the tomb itself. I wanted to curse the King who did this to them, but when the scent of dead flesh finally reached my nose, I nearly dry heaved on the ground. What made matters worse, the smell wasn't coming out of the tomb. It was coming from me! Dead flesh dotted my dirty hair and soiled the black shirt I was wearing. Acting quickly to keep myself from actually vomiting, I peeled the sweat soaked and bloody shirt from my body and tossed it far away from me to rid myself of the smell. Without my black shirt, I was left with my usual thin black bra, which covered up what needed to be covered and nothing more, which suited me just fine in the heat of this planet's climate.
When Malvus turned to face the entrance of the tomb himself,I glanced down at the entry way and noticed that the Undead were still bent on killing both my Master and I. I extended my left hand out toward the horde with my palm facing them. As Malvus prepared to bring the ceiling of the entry way down on top of them, a Force Push erupted from the center of my palm and quickly filled the narrow passage. This attack knocked the front row of creatures off their feet and sent them flying backward into the dead beings behind of them. The moment Malvus brought down the weight of the Force and destroyed the entry way, a sign of relief escaped from my lips as I stumbled back to the ground and rested on my rear. After all the energy exerted from my body today, I was well overdue for some rest. The dust from the cave in covered the front side of my body, but I'd rather deal with the dust any day rather than coagulated blood and dead, rotting flesh.
When Malvus finally rose from the ground and turned in my direction to speak, I got back up to my feet and made an effort to dust myself off. I listened to Malvus' words carefully and kept my smile hidden under a cold expression. Finally, we would be leaving this planet behind! No more desert world, no more blistering heat, and no more Sith Undead! But that wasn't the reason for my hidden glee. Malvus stated that he would be granting me a Darth title once we arrived at his base of operations. At last, I would be pulled up to the rank of a Sith Lord! With the warm breeze of the desert plain brushing against the sweat glistened skin of my bare back, I knelt down before my master and pledged myself to him and his teachings. With a bow of my head out of respect for the man, I spoke.
"I live to serve you, my Lord. Teach me the true ways of the Dark Side of the Force. I wish to grow powerful to destroy my enemies and gain power. May I one day reach the power you have and thrive."

Without another word, the Dark Lord and his apprentice would venture back to the rented speederbike. The Sith would calmly look down at his treasure, wondering if the right book had been given. However, he suspect that was the case. Rulers could be fools after all and not plan ahead. Within a short time, the master and apprentice were specks on the horizon as they headed back for the port.

Aeryn guides his ship through the atmosphere and down to the planet below. Following Sypher's coordinates, he flies the StealthX to a small open cave in the red mountains of Korriban. As the ship settles into the ground, Aeryn exits the cockpit. Clipping his lightsaber to his belt, Aeryn lifts his hood over his head. Staring out into the wastes below, Aeryn motions for Sypher to lock down the ship and begin patching communications to off world comms. Closing his eyes Aeryn searches for the presence he had felt above the planet....moments go by....There. Aeryn takes a step off the edge of the cave, controlling his fall with the force, he lands in a crouched position a hundred or so meters at the bottom. Aeryn sets off towards the Valley of the Dark Lord.

The solid black R7 unit "Sypher" inside the StealthX beeps in acknowledgement to his master's message. Sypher starts the fighter, running checks on all systems as the engines warm up. Once the R7 processes a green light for all systems, the droid plots in his Master's coordinates, the fighter slowly rises as the stealth come online making the fighter virtually invisible. Sypher pilots the fighter towards the valley of the dark lords.

Korriban. So here they were. The woman found the name alone most commanding. Collecting a pre-assembled pack and slinging it over her left shoulder she took Maureen with her right hand. They stepped out of the shuttle and Rhiannon scanned the landscape. To the west lie the Valley of the Darrk Lords, hallowed to all Dark. And as Rhiannon understood things strictly when viewed as a final resting place it was sacred to her as well. Yes. She knew then without a doubt that this was exactly what she wanted. This surpassed mental training. This would be spiritual training. Korriban through the eyes of a child. Poetic really. Or was it? Eyes thinning the woman wondered. Never falter, so she had been taught

Maureen allowed herself to be lead by the aged Jedi. And her they were Maureen could see. Back at the ship? Were they going already? The young girl's brows creased. They had hardly seen any of this ugly place. Seemed kind of stupid to her for them to just up and leave. Oh well. Adults did lots of stupid things

There sat the shuttle waiting. The ship opened as the hatch dropped and Rhiannon wasted no time and boarded. Scanning the crew she spoke -Rhiannon- "The instant all are safely on board we move. Coruscant."

As he flew behind Rhiannon The Raven was now sure of one thing: in the moment he wanted to fry the pushy old bag far more than the drooling mongrel bag of fur or the whiny brat. Speaking of such, the child, now ridding The Hound like a horse was carried up into the shuttle scarce seconds behind the scavenger. Eyes falling on the pair in total disgust once again The Raven was once again struck by uncertainty as to who of the three he wished to annihilate more. Hatch closing and all engines rolling the ship picked up and was gone

The Valley of Golg was much like any of the other Sith burial valleys on the planet Korriban, one giant display of Sith vanity and general creepiness. I never liked coming to this planet, and this trip was no exception. If it wasn't for the request from the Aldar and the newly uncovered temple I wouldn't come anywhere near this planet or this sector of space if I'm being completely honest. Unfortunately a sith curse on an entire race of people takes precedence over the uncomfortable feelings that come from hopping around old Sith Graves. Taking another deep pull from the flask I double tap the outside of my goggles bringing the HUD to life once again to begin recording what I was seeing. It's a large chamber made out like some sort of amphitheater, a stone pit with inset seating that surrounded a large stone alter completely covered in ancient sith Runes. It's the third such chamber I'd been in today, each one nearly identical except for the arrangement of runes. It is clear that dark deeds had been done hear, the force nearly hums around the chamber with death and blood even centuries after the fact.
Either fortunately or unfortunately I am getting used to that overwhelming sense of death because it permeates the entire structure. Though not as large as some of the other structures in the valley, but it had been buried under an ancient landslide until recently and so might have the information I need. Unfortunately the nature of it's preservation also means that most of it's traps are still intact.... or at least they were. I'm fairly certain I've triggered them all, mostly from a safe distance. I roll my left shoulder slightly working out a twinge from where I had slammed it into a wall dodging a falling column, mumbling about my age once again. I really am getting too old for this, of course I'd been saying that for nearly a decade now so what do I know? Moving the blue robes out of the way I reach into one of the many pockets of my mechanic's jumpsuit to pull out a small packet of Jerky to munch on as I slowly move around the chamber catching every aspect of the room on my modified welder's goggles. So far the gathering aspect of research was progressing with minimal issue, but knowing this place that wasn't likely to last long....

A spacecraft roared overhead, tailed by a pair of Mark VII Advanced Interceptors. The starfighters veered off after awhile, scouting areas to the south of the Valley of Golg. The valley's location was near the planet's equator and, from the viewport, and the sensors, this place was vast. It stretched for over a hundred kilometers or more, with depths reaching as far as 1,200 meters. As Malvus flew overhead, the Sith noticed something was off... the spirits below were already awakened and were active. The spirits of many Sith Kings were about and alive, their slumber interrupted.Hmmm...The Sith says to himself as he looks down at his scanners, the ship on an autopilot route over the valley. The Sith had been here before, but there were some readings that weren't here before. The mountains, just to the North of the valley, had tunnels extending between the two areas....Curious...The ships path was altered, moving away from the valley and veering north towards the mountains. The sensor readings following the path of these tunnels that extended for miles upon miles. They contained tombs and underground mausoleums, hidden by the surface of the barren wasteland. Then the readings start showing the tunnels opening up into massive underground chambers that led to...
Malvus suddenly grabbed the controls of the spacecraft, halting the starship over the circular pit of a dormant volcano. Right before the eyes of master and apprentice was an ancient and long forgotten fortress. Several tall bridges connected it to underground passages that were carved into the basin's sides. A beak-like structure dominated the interior of the immense fortress that almost looked like a miniature city, dotted with various degrees of towers, crafted by reddish stone.I have been here many times... and never once seen this place.Malvus says as he directs the ship towards a spot, that looked suitable for landing, on the other side of the fortress, with one of the bridges nearby to use for access into the ancient structure. The Sith Lord seemed quite intrigued by the fortress's appearance.

Darth Sirona could sense the restless spirits. It made her nervous, but she pushed the fear back, this was not the time to back out. But then the ancient fortress came into view and her eyes nearly sparkled with delight. Though not aesthetically the most inviting place, it seemed untouched by age, or war, or looters. The perfect place to find lost secrets and knowledge. Master... She whispered, and would be standing and getting her face as close as she could to the view port, were she not strapped into her seat. I- I've never dreamed of anything like this!

The starship was shut down before Malvus turned in his seat to grab his lightsaber off of a pedestal nearby. A mask was retrieved from a locker too and placed over his face firmly. Another was retrieved and offered to Sirona, a Sith mask that was traditional among the ranks of any of their kind.
Korriban's dust is a pain. Plus, it's good for protection.
The Sith Lord says through his mask before walking away. He keyed the ramp, allowing the pair to disembark. Soon, his cape swirled around and behind him as Korriban greeted the Jen'ari with a strong wind and dust being picked up. Malvus pulled out a set of Macrobinoculars, holding them up to view the fortress from where they stood. The bridges seemed relatively intact and the structure, though ancient, stood firm to the testament of time.
During this time, the Sith sensed something odd again. The spirits, before, felt awakened and disturbed by something, now the planet reacted for a split second. The Dark Side of the Force permeated upon and within the planet that was ancient homeworld of his ancestors and the Sith Order. For a moment, the Dark Side emitted a slight... tension. A repulsing emission. It was reacting to something or someone. Malvus did not suspect him nor Sirona. Perhaps an odd visitor or a creature maybe.
The macrobinoculars were reattached to his hip once the survey was completed. The Sith turns to his apprentice.
Come. Let's take a closer look.
Malvus propels himself off of the ledge, where his ship had landed, and planted himself right on the adjacent stone highway into the ancient fortress. From there, Malvus and Sirona would make their way towards the immense structure before them.

Her sword slung across her back, saber and archaeological equipment firmly attached to her belt, and new mask over her face, Sirona was ready. Following eagerly, she had almost forgotten about the disturbed spirits. All the fear and trepidation had been washed away by the sight of this magnificent find. Still keeping a pace or two behind Malvus, she was finding it harder to keep that distance. She wanted so badly to race in, and start cataloging and recording all that she found. Soon her old leather bound journal was in her hand, with a pencil, making a quick sketch of what they saw. Her heart pounded with anticipation. This could hold any number of secrets, that could revolutionize modern Sith. Or offer new insights into the Old Ways. Either way, her excitement would not be contained for long.

For weeks Nemo had been seeing this place in his dreams, almost like it was haunting him. He had experienced Force visions previously but none of them left him with such a call to a location. It had taken a good two weeks of searching but now the Jedi Master knew he was walking into the fortress from his dreams. Although they could more accurately be described as nightmares.
Stepping off his plain speeder bike, Nemo looked up at the impressive structure that dominated the local area. The two main, curved towers matched the height of the nearby mountains. Nemo turned and looked back across the long, stone bridge that had allowed him access. It spanned the deep valley in an impressive feat of engineering. There were at least two other bridges that lead from the other side of the valley, making the fortress appear as an island in the deep valley. Turning back to the main fort, the outer walls were tall and thick with a few guard towers dotted along its length. It would be a daunting task to assault these walls if the defences were manned. Luckily it appeared abandoned and the gates were open.
As Nemo walked through the gateway, he noticed the general state of disrepair everything appeared to be. The walls and towers stood immutable but the gates were rusty, doors were falling off their hinges and the few plants native to Korriban were trying the reclaim the landscape. “Why has the Force brought me here?” He said aloud, not expecting anyone to hear. Allowing the Force to guide him, the Jedi Master wandered through the outer defences and through another rusted gateway through the inner wall. He now stared up at the looming body of the central fortress building.
There was at least one gate that had not succumbed to the ravages of time, the huge, black and red gate into the main keep. It reverberated with Darkside energy and there was no clear mechanism for opening it. Nemo took a few steps back and looked around the courtyard. There was nothing obvious to him, he must once again rely on the Force for guidance. The Jedi Master slowly sat down, crossing his legs and placing his hands on his knees. He shut his eyes and began to meditate, hoping another vision or dream will allow him to overcome this obstacle.
