Czerka Arms Corporate Headquarters, Dreshdae - Korriban.
Seated in the conference room of the Czerka Offices, the Board of Directors had convened to discuss financial matters since it was the end of the current fiscal year. The board Chairman, Yvenna Sylas, spoke up.
"Our quarterly reports are down and we are hemorrhaging finances just to maintain several of our offices. Since the Third Galactic Civil War, our Dantooine office had been closed, our Taris office is managing to break even, our Kashyyk office has managed to increase its revenue, thanks to the Hutt Cartel and our Telos IV office is struggling to keep its doors open, even with the business the resident Mandalorians bring in. I need solutions. Long term solutions to push us back up into the black so our financial sectors can recoup their losses...otherwise we face financial ruin and our corporate rivals will push us completely out of the running."
Clearing his throat, the clean cut human male representing the Taris office spoke.
"Why not utilize allies. Broaden our sales to target the First Order? They are the biggest authority in my sector, and have considerable spending power. And influence."
The Ithorian representing the Kashyyyk office nodded his head in agreement and spoke.
"Indeed. Since the Cartel's conquest of Kashyyyk, our sales have improved 75% in comparison to our previous sales records. While I do not favor having to deal with people that represent such a nefarious organization such as the Cartel, it has proven to be in our best interests."
A human female, formerly representing the Dantooine office, piped in, adding her suggestion to the table.
"Why not approach the Sith? Since the war, they have become more active. They aren't restricted by a code of ethics or morals. And they have stable infrastructure and a flourishing economy. I could approach their leader and establish some sort of partnership and expand our trade and sales into their territory."
What Sorenson was suggesting was risky, though Czerka did have a history with the Sith, throughout the millenia. But no one wanted to voice their concerns. Looking around the room, Sylas silently nodded. Slowly several hands were raised in support of the idea. As the hands were lowered, Sylas spoke once more.
"Unanimous support has been given on your assignment, Michelle. A travel allowance and operational funds will be placed into your account. I hope you know what you are doing..."
As Sylas trailed off, Sorenson nodded and rose from her seat. While the meeting wasn't over, given she had no office to currently oversee, it mattered very little. And with the daunting task of establishing some kind of partnership or trade relations with the Blackguard Imperium, she wanted to be prepared as much as she could, before she set out to Mustafar.
