Hi all, I've been roleplaying on Zonama Sekot for a bit now as Yuuzhan Vong. I have a long-term storyline in mind and am now ready to take the next step, but would like some collaboration to do so. Background: The current Yuuzhan Vong on Zonama Sekot (the 'Remnant') are progressive and hold to accords that stripped them of their shipwombs and ability to travel offworld. My characters detest this and have been growing a Yorik-stronha in secret. Once ready to leave the world, my plan is to gather some infidel (read; you people!) sacrifices, bring them back to Sekot and complete a ceremony that would cement my PC as a Most Holy - leader of a new faction, be placed as leader of a resurgent Yuuzhan Vong and destroy the Remnant leadership. Once this has happened, I would then look to grow shipwombs and interact with the wider galaxy. I'm looking for someone who would be happy to roleplay a transport, freighter or small warship that would be ambushed by my Yorik-stronha, and also roleplay the captives that I take for sacrifice. Any takers?

I'm tentatively interested. I just got done with an SL in which Ga'ab and his NPCs rescued a clan of around 500 Ryn from enslavement. They were being forced as laborers working at the Tenloss Syndicate's Bahalian Shipyards but a clever plan enabled the Ryn to escape aboard the Nebulon B Frigate that they were being forced to upgrade. A primary NPC. a Ryn named Rygal, is leading his freed people from the Outer Rim to Contruum in the Expansion Region. If it were feasible that you could hit them in transit, I would be interested in working together on the SL to establish a primary antagonist for Ga'ab. How many were you interested in taking?
Since Rygal, my NPC, and the other Ryn are important for another current SL I am writing on Contruum, my only stipulation is that Rygal and a majority of the several hundred survive. They can be left on their ship dead in space, and Ga'ab could find them and then rescue them.

Poor Ryn! They never get a break.
This sounds decent, to be honest. I'd quite happily take 70, leaving you with plenty - I plan on sacrificing the majority but will also keep some as slaves. A Yammosk won't attend to itself, after all!
What do you think?

Sounds marvelous! I'm excited to write with you. I can start working on a post this evening and definitely get one up by tomorrow. What region (board location) should you intercept my Nebulon Frigate?
Are the YV on the site right now a "legend" in most parts of the galaxy or are they well known? Would the Ryn escapees manning the ship or the ship's sensor board identify a YV ship? I don't know how you've been writing the Vong, but I wouldn't mind, and actually prefer, not knowing anything about them. The Ryn could be taken completely off guard and be left with horrifying memories of nightmarish creatures that Ga'ab and his rescue team would be skeptical to believe.
On an unrelated note, I've made a post in the Unknown Regions open space thread. Its more of a background/flavor post

Same! Quite happy with doing it in the Unknown Regions Unknown Space and Hyperspace thread. Won't be long in getting to you!
The current YV that I'm roleplaying have been trapped on Zonama Sekot since after the war; their shipwombs were destroyed and they were grounded, and were kept grounded, too. It is entirely feasible that people would not recognise them. The Ryn may have heard horror stories from the war, though, as they were affected pretty badly and their captivity wasn't... pleasant. That was generations ago, though. Could be like a child's cautionary tale come to life for them, I'm not sure. Up to you! Something so terrible that it traumatises those who remain?

Yes! I really like the idea of an ancient horror/children’s scary story come to life in brutal fashion.

I hope I didn’t go overboard with my post and I hope you don’t mind me making mention of your ship’s movement. If you taken any issue with it I’ll be happy to edit my post or redact some things.
I for one do not mind you writing my ship’s actions or some of my non critical NPCs if it would provide your posts more flavor and freedom. I trust you to write your plasma canons burning through my ship’s shields and hull, sucking Ryn into the vacuum, for example.

I'm quite happy to lose 2 or 3 of my warriors, by the way You could use their cadavers as proof that we're back, if you want your SL to go that way.

I left a Yuuzhan Vong for you - he could be dead or injured, I'm not bothered what you decide to do with him!

Do you want me to make scarce when you show up with your fighters?

Do you want me to make scarce when you show up with your fighters? Nah, if i' travelling from Gamorr to the Expansion Region it's going to take days even in hyperspace. After you pull-back with your sacrifices it'll turn into a race against time for Ga'ab to find the Ryn survivors and rescue them from a slow death of dehydration or asphyxiation.

Do you want me to make scarce when you show up with your fighters? I've been trying to come up with another post, but I've been struggling to come up with something compelling. The ship's dead and the Ryn are all trapped in the bulkheads so if anything, I'd just write another post about what Rygal is doing locked in the bridge. Do you mind if I make use of your original suggestion? I think it'd be easier and more exciting writing if I show up with my fighters and a rescue-ship I'm hiring on Corellia and we scare you away. So if you wouldn't mind another short delay as I finish up on Corellia, I'd appreciate it. It should only be another day or if Lynne Jameroo and I can get in several posts today we might even be able to post in the expansion region tonight

I managed to come up with another post in the Unknown Regions for you. This time it was a roomful of Ryn that were knocked unconscious so you'd have some live ones lol
