So I wanted to push further with this idea and see what people thought.
Hadur Industries is a contract retailer of sorts of ships from varying companies. Similar to how retailers work a deal to sell a companies product, Hadur works to be a retailer of some of the most common ship designs through the galaxy all able to be purchased in one place. There are those companies that are currently in play though they are mostly controlled by particular factions. Others are just NPC companies that pop up when the need arises. Of course, if someone wishes to get ships from these places, they must write everything out themselves or find someone to help out. It is because of this reason I want to make Hadur, to be the active shipyards people can go to to buy, sell, trade, or modify canon ships and give a sense of reality instead of just "poof" there's my ship. And for modified ships, it adds a layer of legitimacy to it with rp to back it up. But as Hadur is an organization built to keep wars raging, it not only provides ships but weapons and ground vehicles as well to aid in defense and raiding possibilities.
For those factions that do or don't have their own shipyards to make fleets and transports for its members, Hadur is here to give you that access or to give you the ability to increase production by allowing your ships to be built in their shipyards. Battles bring about damage and occasionally, destruction, meaning new ships need to be built or repaired, not to mention new members wishing to aid in expanding the strength of the faction. Along with that, time is money, so having a little help can go a long way.
Then there is Lyncitech, the aspect of the company that looks to craft their own line of ships. Currently, new customs ships lie within the factions. Some, as stated, have their own shipyards to build these vessels while others do not and have to find ways to get their newly designed craft made. Not only does Hadur do that, but with time there comes new ideas and progression. Sometimes, the old can't cut it, even with new technologies. And so Lyncitech works to bring out new ships available to all, be it individuals not aligned to anyone to mercenary and pirate groups. And should someone have an idea for a new ship that doesn't have the means to give them life, bring the plans to Lyncitech and we will give it life.
But there is a final aspect to Hadur Industries and Lyncitech that is kept secret. Mahal shaped the company for one reason: to keep war going. It is believed to be the constant in the universe and the economy of war brings with it new riches. So, from time to time, agents may go out and cause a little havoc when things get peaceful or may even hire pirate and mercenary groups out to stir things up. This gives a chance to bring about other options for rp, especially to those small groups who don't get the chance to do things often or at the very least, big things.
Overall, the point for this company is to give people access to rping activity regarding their ships, be it buying or customizing them or just getting involved by causing chaos or looking for partnerships. Still in the opening phases, though, as I'm trying to test the waters and see what people think before getting reall deep into this.
