Principle Author(s): Lucien Needa @autumn Who can post in this thread?: Only the author stated above Do I wish to receive Critical Responses?: Yes Do standard universe rules apply?: Yes Location: Unknown Regions Project (Elysium Colony) The Elysium Colony, referred to simply as Elysium, was a massive colony in space founded by the Galactic Alliance Remnant in order to escape the social, political, and military issues of a post-Dac galaxy. The original goal of Elysium was to create a fully capitalist society free of any interference of any kind, where anyone could profit for their own gain, without having to acquiesce to the demands of others. The best and brightest in the galaxy would be granted freedom of will and choice, unrestrained by anything, other than logic and science. However, by the time Lucien Needa inadvertently stumbled upon the colony, things had significantly devolved. Widespread order and civility had ceased to exist across the rings of the city, with only individual towers still retaining a semblance of order, usually through a community effort to defend against the forces from outside. The rest of the city was locked in a constant battle between the forces of the Remnant and the Outcasts, with the Outcasts utilizing their superior numbers against the far better-equipped Remnants. Individual warlords carve out territory, and often times the areas where civilization had survived were just as hostile towards outsiders out of fear for their own safety.

Particles. Small white particles. As the mass of armor and red fabric in the middle of the crushed rear end of a Lambda-Class Shuttle began to stir, these particles streaked and floated lazily through his vision. He had barely survived the crash landing of his shuttle onto the asteroid and was only now awakening. His crew was dead, there was no doubt about that, meaning that he was alone. Turning to one side, Lucien observed out of his visor a fire breaking out in the small crew compartment. Fire! Suddenly snapping to attention, he realized quickly the danger he was in. Turning rapidly from side to side, he could see no exit from the shuttle. He would have to improvise. Sealing his helmet and drawing his lightsaber, he turned to the nearest area of the craft not on fire and began cutting through it wildly. Kicking through the sliced plating, he eventually saw a small hole leading to outer space. With the fire licking at him, he continued kicking down the area until a hole formed large enough for him to crawl through. Leaping out, he landed softly on the greyish surface, kicking up a small dust cloud. After tumbling a few meters, he landed face first into the rock dust that covered these asteroids. However, he quickly learned this was not a usual asteroid, for upon looking up, he was greeted by a massive tower.
The monolithic structure, made of steel, stretched more than five stories tall and was designed with a series of setbacks decorated in many geometric reliefs, effectively recreating a Coruscanti style skyscraper. At the base, numerous lamps cut through the darkness that would otherwise envelop the stairs that wrapped around the hexagonal shape of the structure. At the top of the tower stood an imposing winged statue of a man supporting the tower's light emitter. The bright blue light emanating from the circular dish suspended between the wings of the angel cut deep into the space surrounding the rocky outcrop.
Picking his way across the surface of the asteroid and ascending the stairs surrounding the tower, Lucien pushed open the massive bronze doors that served as the entrance to the building. Immediately after exiting the airlock on the interior, bright, motion-activated lights bathed the stone interior of the building in a pale blue light, revealing the imposing emblem of the Galactic Alliance Remnant suspended above the entrance alongside a massive red banner declaring "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance." Making his way to a split staircase at the back of the room, he traverses downward, passing more geometric motifs, until he arrived at the room directly below the previous one. Looking up, he could see the golden emblem directly above him. There was not much down here, save for a single pod at the center of the room, colored black with a single lever in the middle of it. Pausing only for a moment to contemplate his options, Lucien stepped into the pod and pulled the lever.

The transparasteel bulkhead behind Lucien sealed up while he turned to face this viewport. A moment later, the clamps attached to the matte black pod released, and the small craft began descending through the asteroid. The floodlight attached to the front of the pod activated, bathing the patterned walls in fluorescent blue light. The walls had a tiled pattern with a large vein of bluish material running down the center, with distance traveled marked out in units of 10. Between the markers were tall bronze statues of men reaching upward to the marker above them. Lucien considered the fact that it was likely he was sending himself off to his own death, but he didn't really mind all that much. The Force would show him the way. As his pod passed the 50-meter depth mark, the tall tube surrounding the pod suddenly gave way to open space. Before Lucien could comprehend this, however, a screen activated, covering the viewport. The screen was unmoving for a few moments until it suddenly flickered to life, the white Galactic Alliance Remnant emblem superimposed onto the black background of the screen. A lively tune began playing in the background as the superimposed emblem was replaced by an image of an aged man sitting at a desk, champagne glass in hand, with the words "From the Desk of Autumn" written in the top right of the screen. As this occurred, a prerecorded speech began to play."I am Augustus Autumn, and I am here to ask you a question..."
