Designed and built cooperatively by Renegade Industries and Aegohr Manufacturing, the Gladius was meant to be a patrol/security/customs vessel for any system that could afford it. Crewed by only fifteen people and sporting two squads (12) of troops for boarding, the Gladius was small, agile and outfitted with extensive sensor suites, the ship was capable of tracking most known vessels in the galaxy across a system. A network of point defense laser cannons (20 per side) were used to intercept incoming projectiles and fighters, while four link fired, forward mounted ion cannons were used to disable suspicious ships to allow for boarding actions. An aft mounted, scaled down variant of The Organization's signature Mass-Driver Cannon was also added to ensure that if the need arose, the Gladius could potentially hold its own in a prolonged engagement. Available to the general public, small security forces or anyone else on the market for a solid ship, the Gladius was another fresh off-the-line ship.
