Designed as a troop carrier, the Atlas was armed with one fixed laser cannon on each wing facing forward and a turreted ion cannon on the top of the cockpit. Capable of carrying a maximum of 40 troops/passengers, the Atlas quickly became the Royal Hapan Navy's sole troop transport. Slotted with an astromech for additional support, the Atlas was also capable of hyperspace jumps.
