A small smirk came to his face at Harnan's response. His time seeking to understand the state of the galaxy had done well at this moment. With the redirection of the Force, the message from the one in orbit, he fully expected this to be a rough interaction in an attempt to join with the Ren. Yet, it seemed his words and desire blended well with what he knew and what was real. As the man motioned for him to follow, Cuuldurach did so, staying in step a bit behind and to his left.
As they went, Cuuldurach noticed he state of the citadel, much of the areas hinting heavy construction. It was no wonder that he didn't know about the Ren being here as it must have been just a little while before. Maybe that was why he had suddenly felt the need to finally leave Thule and his wanderings to find them. As he toured the facility, he listened intently as Harnan went on to further explain the Knights of Ren and who they were, what they sought to achieve. It was as he thought and hoped. A place that he felt more in line with than the blind ideologies of the Sith. When he spoke of the Imperial Knights, he, himself, couldn't help but scoff. "The Imperial Knights. Nothing more than glorified bodyguards who put the safety of the Emperor over those of the First Order, leaving the Ren to handle the majority of the work. Guess that's why they are considered the Shield of the First Order, though the name is misleading if you lack the wisdom to interrupt it."
Then came the question of who he was. He had a name that was truly his a long time ago. Once named Jytar Nevan, h had long since abandoned that name when both the Sith and Jedi sought him out to kill him for being seen as a mastermind behind a large scheme meant to destroy both of them. A burden he bore for the sake of killing a man who had destroyed his life and family, a fellow Sith too concerned about his position and power. And as far as anyone was concerned, that man was dead. Pushing the thoughts from his head, he took a breath before responding. "My name is Cuuldurach." An interesting name he had chosen, to be sure. It meant "Bringer of Twilight." Which worked perfectly with his twin sabers and was the reason for the name behind his sword and ship. Harnan kept leading the way on their tour of the Citadel, guiding the way past the main Barracks where the Purge Troopers stationed here stayed. Listening as the man seemed to echo how many among the Ren felt about the Imperial Knights. In truth, they were more shields of the Emperor and his family, than true shields of the First Order. Sure, they would go into battle when called upon or if Nicademus or someone they were guarding was on the field. But they were reactive to danger. Whereas the Ren were proactiveYou're not wrong... They like to think themselves high and mighty. But they lack the teeth to be anything more than shields... So concerned are they with protecting the Emperor, that they have forgotten that the Emperor does not exist within an Empire to rule...A pair of Purge Troopers pushed open a large set of doors then, allowing Harnan to guide Cuuldurach into the meeting hall as the man finally introduced himself. Crossing the hall, Harnan took a seat and motioned for Cuuldurach to take one opposite him at the long table that sat in the middle of the room currentlyI'm not gunna lie, kid... I like you. I think I've given enough over all information. Was there anything specific you wanted to know before we go further? Her jest about the cutting of strings not intended to have turned Harnan's thoughts to the loss of their dearly departed sister, Katsumi regrets that it had done so when it does, which she supposes on reflection was all but inevitable given how intimately bound the cutting had been with loss. Resting a pale, bare hand on Harnan's armored chest over his heart, her head down in a gesture of apology as much as to make him aware that he is not alone in mourning Illaria, Katsumi is silent a moment before, not wanting to dwell on the matter when Harnan's moving on from it has made it plain he prefers not to.
Removing her hand from Harnan's chest and leaning against the pillar across from him, Katsumi crosses her arms over her chest, mirroring his pose as she replies to his reply about the city in which their new citadel has been erected, Forgotten? Oh, not at all, dear brother. I am simply not troubled by the scorn of fools. What value is there in the respect or accolades of simpering simpletons after all? Very little, if any at all, at least that is what I believe. Her tone takes on a musing quality, suggesting that her question is devoid of any judgement, and can be taken to be rhetorical should he so choose, Does it trouble you to be unsung and unloved by them? Do you do what you do, do we do what we do for them?
Dismissing the subject of fools and the worth of their opinions with a languid shrug of her thin shoulders, Katsumi addresses Harnan's assertion that two answers are not possible to her question of where, asking, Why suffer the choice when the choice of whether there is one answer or many is yours to make? This citadel is but a common den for us all after all, no? Could you not make your personal lair elsewhere if you choose, somewhere out there without the suffering you feel is here? Her own inclination to, driven by a sense of purpose that can seem from the outside as whimsical, come and go freely from wherever the Knights of Ren have chosen as their main base of operation, Katsumi knows that her view may be unique where the importance held by places is concerned, and so she also offers an alternative to her proposal, Or simply forget the fools outside these walls, they are without and only we are within, do not let them in, she taps the right temple of the skull-like mask covering her face, here while you are in, she lifts her hands to gesture around the interior of the citadel, here. Harnan looked at his Sister as she pressed her pale hand across where his heart was. His own armoured hand raising up briefly to rest atop Katsumi's hand. Appreciating the gesture and sign of solidarity. His hand moving away when she withdrew her hand. Crossing his arms once more as his Sister mirrors his stance opposite of him. Her response not the least bit surprising to him, despite his earlier posed question. He scoffed as she suggested he was troubled by being unsung and unloved by them. Asking if he and the Ren did what they did for the ImperialsI do not care to be raised up as some folk hero. But I'd rather they be impassive about us than despise us... After all, we may be powerful, but with enough numbers, even a rat can swarm a lion... And I think you and I both know that I do not do what I do for them. As for the Ren over all? Well, that is a different story. We do what we do to bring peace and order to this rabble...He shook his head as Katsumi shrugged, suggesting that the choice was his own. He envied his Sister's freedom, her ability to come and go as she pleased. Appearing only when and where she was needed. It was then, that she offered a rather profoundly insightful piece of advice. Suggesting he not think about this outside these walls while he was within themDear Sister, the decision is far from mine to make... I have an oath to keep to train Fiora. And that's not something I can do anywhere else but here... Besides, someone has to stick around here, to make sure you do not have to... But perhaps you are right. Assuming I deserve any reprieve from that which I have brought upon myself...He pushed off the pillar then, pulling Katsumi into a bit of a bear hug, given his relatively size compared to her own. Letting her pull free a few moments later if she so chose Thank you, Sister...

As the duo made their way into the meeting hall, Cuuldurach took in the massive room, easily taking note of the long table and chairs. It didn't take long to figure out the purpose of the chambers. It made him wonder what was next to come. Was he to meet others of the Ren? Was he about to be examined and judged in regard to being allowed to join? Who knew?
Taking a eat as Harnan motioned for him to do so, he listened as the man asked if there were any more questions, to which Cuuldruach shook his head. "You have done quite well in filling in the few gaps I still had in understanding the Knights of Ren as a whole. If there is anything else to learn from them, it'll be done with time, training, and interaction."

*The response to his speech oddly satisfied Soku. No uproarious clamor over a few words, merely understated approval. He put a fist to his heart briefly before walking between his brothers and sisters, regarding each of them with a nod and a subtle look of gratitude in his eye. Seeing as nothing more needed to be said, and the others gathered went about their own ways or conversations, he opted to give them their space, retreating to his office.
There, amongst the scattered datapads and notes of various laws and procedures, Soku found a moment's peace. The weight of leadership could already be felt, and he had hardly begun. Here, in the company of his books, was familiarity. Not everything was simple as reading and writing words on a terminal, he knew, although he found himself wishing it was. He had given suggestions, opinions, and commands before, certainly, but not to the entirety of the Ren. He had to keep that pressure from getting to him.
Idly, he wondered if Aerandir had felt this, only to instantly scowl and chide himself for caring, even for a moment.
Not that much later in the evening, he was given a notice about a new visitor, seeking the Ren. Initially he would have immediately stood and tended to the guest, but was informed Harnan was already on his way to meet him. That afforded Soku another moment or two to finish his current bit of research, collect himself, and then depart for the meeting hall.
He arrived in time to catch the last few exchanges in the conversation; the knowledge the newcomer possessed about the Ren proved he knew what he was getting into. Smiling, Soku stepped forward, replying with,* "And training you shall receive. If, that is, you can answer me this: What is it that you hope to accomplish in life?"

The universe, the fools, those closest to you? Or, she concludes in a way suggesting that what she is suggesting in her final question is the view she herself supports and offers for him to consider, is it instead ultimately you yourself that can, and perhaps even must decide what it is that you deserve?

He didn’t know who this man was, but figured the answer would soon be revealed. No matter the name, he was a Ren, which demanded the same respect that he had given to Harnan.
The question came, one easily answered and one he had already told the other Ren. In most cases, he hated repeating himself. This was a different occasion as this would be the first chance Soku would hear it. And until such a time where they felt he was truly a man worthy of holding the title of Ren, he answer it many times over. Taking a deep breath, he spoke calm and coolly, as if unaffected by the presence of anyone or the questions asked. "I seek to bring balance and peace to a chaotic galaxy. A nearly impossible task for but a single person, I know, but it is the path I have chosen for myself. A path devoid of the Sith and Jedi who, above so many others, create this very chaos."

Harnan was aware his Sister was not the most... intimate of people. So it was no surprise to feel the awkwardness almost radiate from her as she pats his back. Once pulled away, he smiles at her attempt to dismiss his appreciation. His Sister was far to humble, perhaps wanting instead to maintain her mask. In any case, he watched her as she took her leave, pausing only to pose one final question to himPerhaps I have already decided that this is indeed what I deserve...With that, he let Katsumi go on her way as he headed off toward the hangar bay...Before Harnan was able to respond, the voice of another cut through the momentary silence that filled the meeting room. Harnan had nodded his head in response to Cuuldurach's statement that he would learn more with time. And then, as if on cue, Soku came striding into the Meeting Hall to address the newcomer. Almost immediately stating that Cuuldurach would get the training he sought. He sat and watched the interaction between the two. The man repeating a very similar answer to the one given earlier. Harnan turned his head to Soku thenWell hello there Master of the Ren... or would you rather I still call you Brother?Harnan smirked beneath his helmet, wondering if perhaps he might get a reaction from the manI still have my hands full training Lady Hu. Would you like to see to the start of his training? Otherwise there is always one of our Sisters...

As Harnan spoke, speaking of who would train him, his head moved slightly back towards the man at the mention of being trained by one of the Sisters. It was an amusing thought, to think what the Ren might have thought could happen in such a case, something he, himself, was now slightly curious about.
Still, he said nothing if only to keep him from looking like a fool. But at the idea of being trained overall, that he spome up about. "Hopefully, outside of learning more of the ways of the Knights of Ren, I shouldn't need much training as I am a skilled warrior and practioner of the Force, though I'm not against learning something new."

*The answer pleased Soku greatly, the small smile on his face reflecting this. The smile nearly faltered into a frown, however, when Harnan asked him the question. He gave him an aside look long enough to reply,* "I am ever your brother," *before returning his focus to the newcomer. Once he was finished speaking, Soku nodded.* "It is indeed a matter of mindset. Our order is largely formed by previous practitioners of other philosophies. Including myself. Like you, we shared a goal we knew could not be accomplished on our own. We shaped our minds and molded them with the truth. This truth is what we aim to spread through the galaxy. A truth you seem to have found yourself... as have the rest of us.
"But I believe I have gotten ahead of myself. I am Soku Ren. 'Master of the Ren,' as Harnan felt so compelled to say." *Mild agitation showed in his voice, although one might be able to interpret as good-natured.* "I am afraid I did not yet catch your name."

It didn't even take Soku, himself, to express his title within the order as Harnan seemed be ready to share the knowledge. So he was in the presence of the Master of the order. Better now rather than later, though he knew they would have met at some point. And thus far, his answers seemed to please him. That was definitely a good start.
As he spoke, Cuuldurach recounted the events that had ked him here in his mind. The death of his father by his brother, a "suggestive" order by the Jedi Ladoran called brothers, the his own battle with his brother that had been ordered by the Sitn, the scar upon his face a sign that failure wasn't an option, then the plans of a fellow Sith seeking his mother's hand that eventually tore his family apart as he was forced to kill his wife in order to spare her the indignities Ferazan had already commited against her, and finally seen as an enemy of both the Jedi and Sith upon Ferazan's death due to being seen as the mastermind that threatened each order. A past he both wished to forget and didn't. But it was these that eventually led him here after one final, failed run with the Sith of the extinct Order of Ruin.
When asked for his name, he gave a bow of his head, his left hand coming up to finally remove the hood that hid his face. "It is a pleasure. I am Cuuldurach." Looking back up to the Master Ren, the features of his face could be seen. Black hair that was slicked back, brown eyes, and the faint trace of a scar over his left eye.

*Soku took in the features of Cuuldurach, preferring to know the appearance of a would-be Ren. He nodded to the newcomer, replying,* "The pleasure is mine. Now, if you would follow me." *He beckoned with his hand, turning as he did so.* "I would very much like to examine your combat skills, just for the sake of knowledge." *He led the way from the meeting room to the training area. He was not necessarily interested in an elaborate demonstration, merely a test of skill. Therefore, upon reaching the fairly expansive wing of the citadel, he merely activated two training droids, primed with a single training saber each. The droids came to life and approached, activating their weapons and holding them in a ready stance.
Soku then gestured towards them, saying,* "I am eager to see if you are as combat-capable as you claim."

For a moment, there was silence as Soku took in Cuuldurach's words and appearance. It was only a beat before he was asked to follow the Master of the Ren. Standing, he turned to Harnan and gave the man a bow before proceeding to fall into step behind Soku. It took no time before what would be asked of him next came to light: a test of skills. A small part of him scoffed at the idea of being tested, knowing he had what it took as a warrior, having been trained since the first moments he could. Nothing but one of the few joys gained from being born into the Sith. But that faint irritation at being tested was quickly dismissed by the conscious mind as he knew this wasn't actually a trial or test to see where he would fit in and what his rank would be. It was nothing more than a quick observation just to see how capable he really was.
Soku wasted no time as they entered the training area, activating two droids that stood ready to engage him. Looking over to Soku as he spoke, Cuuldurach nodded. "Very well." Removing the sword that rested on his back, its overall purpose held no bearing against droids. And even then, it was a weapon that needed to be utilized with caution due to the Vexxtal crystal that resided within it. He set it aside along with his jacket before taking hold of the two sabers on his belt. The hilt design made them twins while the right was of copperish color, the left a black chrome. Activating the blades revealed the burning orange light from his right and a purple from the left. Giving life to his weapons was all that was needed to start the spar as the droids approached him. He took a couple of steps towards them as they came, his blades slightly raised out to his sides. The droid on his left made the first move, to which he brought up his right saber to block, then brought both blades over to stop the second droid's attack.
Keeping with the momentum, he brought his right blade back over to the first droid as the next attack came, his body turning with it as his weapon came up underneath the attack and parried it upwards. The motion of his steps and turn had him now between them and his back facing the way he was heading. His left blade then intercepted the attack of the second droid. As they went, the attacks against him began to quicken, though Cuuldruach continued to play his little dance between them. Switching back and forth as each attack came, he let himself flow from one strike to another, opting to utilize grace and fluidity over power, though as they progressed, a ferocity could be seen in his attacks, suggesting he was capable of such forms of combat in the right situation.
As the fight progressed a little further, he decided to bring the fight to an end without destroying the droids but putting them in a position where they could be if he so desired. Both droids attacked together, his blades rising to meet them before he pushed them together in front of him, leading the blades close enough together that the hands would be close together. By use of the Force, the two chains around his waist came undone and snaked themselves up the droids. One wrapped around the blade hand of the droid while the other wrapped around their legs. Jumping back and pulling his arms together, the chains gave a forceful tug that forced the droids closer together and caused them to topple over. With his control of the Force, the chains couldn't be undone so easily. While they could have taken the weapons in their free hands, Cuuldurach was already upon them with sabers directed at their heads. If they tried moving, it would be but a blink of an eye before their heads would be severed.

Harnan remained silent as Soku seemed to take over the discussion, the new Master of the Ren falling into his role quite effortlessly. He gave a nod of his head to Cuuldurach as Soku lead the man out of the meeting hall and off to test the man's combat skills. With that sorted, Harnan headed off out of the meeting room himself to go and check in with the overseer of the Citadel's construction.Hopefully to get an update on how much longer it would be before the imposing fortress was finished

*Soku stood and observed his battle tactics from a safe distance, arms crossed over his chest. He was fascinated by the sword, but curious why Cuuldurach opted for traditional sabers over the blade. Intrigued, he would have to further investigate, but for the moment, he watched the battle unfold. The only attention Soku gave the droids were their attack patterns; his true focus were the man's responses to said patterns. While there was a certain style Cuuldurach practiced, there were traces of... Soku thought of it as "versatility."
When he bested the droids, Soku gave a mere gesture, which the droids responded to by deactivating their weapons and going prone. Soku's arms unfolded from around his chest... only for his hands to fold behind his back as he approached the man.* "You were not lying. Good. I have no doubt you will prove a powerful force in the quest for order. I will waste no further time of yours on this, but now I must admit further curiosity: What are your strengths apart from battle?"

Replacing his lightsabers, Cuuldurach summoned the chains from the droids and had them link back up around his waist. There was a small smirk at Soku's satisfaction in his abilities. When asked about his other abilities, the man thought for a moment as he sorted out how to present his skills.
"When it come to the Force I'm skilled in nearly all arts typical of a Sith. My primary focus in training was that of a warrior meant to confront the enemy directly and my powers mostly reflect that aspect. I'm also skilled as an assassin. The last Sith order I was with, the Order of Ruin, I played a duel role. My true nature was that of a man hidden in shadowshat worked behind the scenes for those in power. Assassinations, creating discord, even disrupting our own operations at times as I once did with the Galactic Empire under Sinistra so long ago. The latter part served to either make us seem like we have issues and aren't the ibstigators of problems or makes the enemy think we've weakened. Everyone else in the order knew me by a made up name and didn't know of my true role. I'm also capable of blending into the world around me. I don't hide with stealth techniques but become just another face in the crowd. While I can do it naturally with a little time, I do work to slightly twist the perception of those aroubd me so that I seem non-existent to them."

A TIE Silencer made its way to the landing zone, as indicated, the ship had highlights in red, while the rest of the fuselage was pitch black. It landed smoothly. The baron's starfighter had it's own scort, four TIE Interceptors, boldly painted in red, which proceeded to land around the Silencer. The pilots -something that could be seen when they exited their ships- wore leathern and plastoid light armor, in red. Their helmets were made in same color and material: they were rounded, featureless, unadorned and with a narrow black slit. All four wielded electrostaffs and formed around the tall man who had introduced himself as Baron Fel. Certainly, he didn't look in need of any bodyguards and was, definetely, more imposing than all the other four, wearing a long willowy cape and clad in black leathern robes. The archaic and exotic lightsaber he wielded was concealed by the wide mantle, resting on the hip. The five, the guards around the baron, walked at good pace towards the citadel, entering when allowed to do as much.

Before the Baron and his Guards got halfway across the hangar bay of the Citadel, they were cut off as a Platoon of Purge Troopers filed into the hangar bay. Forming a line on either side of the Baron and his four guards. Their weapons remained remained down as Harnan emerged from the doorway in his black armour. His shield and saberstaff were slung across his back, while his saber hilt was clipped across the back of his belt. It was not often that the Citadel entertained visitors, especially ones claiming the Fel dynasty name and surrounded by a quartet of electrostaff wielding guards. Harnan came to a stop and crossed his arms, his gaze meeting that of the man standing in the center of the guards Welcome to Prakith... Baron Fel... I'd advise your men to stand down, you won't need them while you're here...

He waves a hand clad in a black glove. The crimson guardsmen nod and turn heels, returning to their interceptors at good pace. They were clearly instructed to follow any order given.
"I don't need guards anywhere, Harnan of the Knights of Ren"
He said, the baron had a deep, peculiar voice.
"They were here merely because a Baron of the royal line must not be seen without a proper scort"
He places his arms akimbo, the black mantle opens and the black lightsaber could be glanced hanging from the belt.
"I thank you for the welcome"
If he was being ironical, one couldn't say.

The Purge Troopers remained in place, their guns still shoulder and not having moved an inch. Harnan took a couple more steps closer to the Baron before coming to a stop once more. The nor prominent lightsaber hanging from the man's belt not going unnoticed. But Harnan spared it little more than a glance, as his helmet's gaze seemed to remained locked with the Baron's Are you still a Baron of the royal line, given that the royal line is now the Delvardus family? Unless the Fel line retook the throne while I was not looking... So, Baron Fel, what brings you to the Citadel of the Ren?

"The blood is thicker and runs deeper than any change of regime. No-one can deny my descent from Jagged Fel"
He said, with a hint of anger.
"But, all hail the Emperor Delvardus, he gained his throne by conquest. Long may he reign"
He gestures with his right hand, like changing topic.
"That didn't bring me here though. As all the members of my family who are Force sensitive I was trained from infancy by Imperial knights. However, I do find their approach... limited. If what I heard from you it's true... you could be exactly what I need"

Harnan smiled, clearly having touched a nerve with the young Fel. Pride in one's heritage and bloodline could be a dangerous thing, especially within the Ren. For now, he filed that information away for later consideration as Soontir spoke of having trained with the Imperial Knights and finding their methods limited. Something that he could agree with The Imperial Knights are fools, they cling to the light almost as much as the Jedi... They lack the conviction to do what is necessary... If it is training you seek, then it is training you may receive. But know that it will come at a price... One that you will not be so willing to part with as money...
