So here was the truth, Vilim was a man of economic mindset. In fact, this was a test to see how well the Moff performed and Nicademus was quite pleased with the results. Of course, his suggestions would be added to the proposal for the reconstruction and revitalization of Coruscant. The Emperor wasn't going to let good advice and proposal go to waste.
My advisers have stated the same thing. The key is eliminating the grip the gangs have on the planet, the breaking apart of their monopoly in order to truly free the planet. The Empire's administration will take direct control once the gangs are destroyed, thoroughly. It is our purpose to liberate Coruscant, not to conquer her.
Nicademus would rise from his desk, moving away from the chair to approach the holoprojector. His eyes scanning the details in full.
I will have this sent to my economic team and see that they utilize what you have suggested, Moff Ju'oda. I can see why people say you brought prosperity back to Brentaal IV. It is a vital trading juncture within the Core, just as Taris is within the Outer Rim. You were able to expertly pinpoint what was needed to be done and how to properly utilize it. You must be commended on your observations.
The Emperor taps on the console, saving the data, edited by Vilim, on a chip and handing it to an aide nearby.
How has Brentaal IV been? I haven't visited the world since it was conquered during the recent galactic conflict.

"Thanks, my emperor. I did what I must"
Said the alien, eyeing at Nicademus with interest. His fingers play with a signal ring, worn on the right hand. It was made of Haysian ore and platinum, apparently.
"I suggest using excesive force, that will scare whoever manages to escape the purge and set an example"
He smiled. The moff had perfect teeth in an almost alarming way.
"You flatter me, Your Majesty"
The governor feigned honesty.
"The world does fine, it only wishes to serve the Empire well. The trade is always flowing and my Resurgent is always flying in low orbit, acting as a good and effective reminder of who rules the planet. I realized several investments the last year which turned quite profitable, right now the benefits yield by customs and taxes are spotless and incrementing gradually, sire. Also, I erradicated several rebel cells in the past months and executed their leaders; that made the stock of our companies raise a tad in value"
He smiled. The scars blush slightly.
"Bussiness likes security, my lord. Safety to conduct its affairs without interference. That's why the banking clans love the Empire, for it provides tranquility"

It seems Brentaal still had issues with rebels. It was one of the few worlds that had no ties to a previous Imperial nation. Propaganda could only go so far after all. Nicademus had not risked pushing to hard, but it sounded like that the people of the planet were keeping in line, for the most part. It also sounded like Moff Ju'oda was doing much in securing economical prosperity to the planet and its system. Brentaal was a vital location in the Core regions. It needed protection and that prosperity to serve well within the Empire.
My rule began on a banking world. The planet of Aargau, within the Deep Core.
Nicademus says as he brings up a map of the Empire.
The Deep Core Remnant was where it all began. When I moved to Muunilinst, the banking clans were there too... but had to be forcibly broken due to their insubordination. They were reformed under the guise of the Imperial Banking Administration though. I am glad the banking clans on Brentaal IV prosper.
The Imperial moves away, heading back to his desk once more.
There will be some future investments. Director Piett, over in Imperial Intelligence, has recommended gives incentives to some of the poor and under-privileged population of Coruscant to move to worlds like Mygeeto and Dantooine. A new policy goes into effect soon that will ensure a slow, but smooth freeing of our slave worker force, opening up jobs and opportunities to the unemployed.

"It's known you majesty, the craddle of the restored Empire"
He said, emotionlessly.
"The financial groups can and must have a degree of autonomy and even they might reign supreme in the market, but, in last instance they should only answer to the Imperial administration. Since the Muun clans were put under your yoke, my lord, Brentaal's have been most tame and diligent in serving our interests"
Ju'oda keeps playing with the ring on his right hand.
"That is a sound proposal, sire. Slavery is a drag for economy, as slaves cannot spend money on trade goods and thus bring little benefits for manufacturers and trading companies. Plus, it's obsolete with droids and cheap conscripted labour"
He granted, observing the emperor. The alien moff was trying to guess if the emperor wanted his input, solely, or something else. Or, if he had some sort of task or appointment. Always cautious his mind started to observe the possibilities.

Droid labor was not extensively used. The Emperor had a deep mistrust towards the mechanical beings due to one being used as a means of assassination against him by the former InterGalactic Banking Clan. Nicademus did not show a visible distrust, but it was obvious by how little he relied on servitude droids or any droid for that matter. His servants, his personnel, his guards, all of those were covered by organic beings.
We have a policy that is being refined, but to be enacted, that will slowly dissolve the slave labor of the Empire. With the gain of Coruscant, the Empire has acquired a large population, but certainly one that has many who are unemployed. We must seek a means to ensure work is readily available while Coruscant's economy recovers from this mess.
Nicademus rubs his chin, looking back at the Galactic City.
And its going to be some time before this planet is a vibrant place again. It is unfortunate that it has remained in neglect for so long.

"Your Majesty will do what is best for the galaxy, no matter the cost or the time employed in it"
Said the moff, slightly sycophantly.
"The neglect has stopped already, sire, for Coruscant is under our authority now. I trust you will find someone worthy to get rid of the filth of this planet"
He stood there, both hands clasped behind his back, covered by the thick fabric of the cape, as flamboyant as one might expect from an Imperial moff.

Shortly after their discussion with the Emperor of his conversation with Knight Vao Brock reviewed the intelligence given to him by Director Piett. Once he had reviewed the contents he pulled Xeonon aside and gained leave from the Emperor for a mission of their own, happily leaving his own two Imperial Knight guards to take up duty with the Emperor while the two senior knights were away. Aquiring a small conference room nearby he sent a communication to summon Major Helix and Knight Vao to join them. Offering Xeo a piece of nerf Jerky from his belt pouch he leaned the chair at the head of the table back and propped his feet up, settling in to wait for the Imperial Knight and the commander of his troop contingent on Coruscant to arrive.

After having delivered his report to Knight Ferrum who seemed to be keeping the Emperor's temporary office private for some sort of curious meeting Piett wasted no time acquiring an office of his own. Opting for location rather than extravagance he set up in a nearby Aide's office. Truth be told here in the heart of what had once been Coruscant's government center even that was larger than most offices he had had aboard ship in the past. Straightening the grey commander's uniform from the Deep Core Remnant he had once served he began to direct some of Nic's staff to clean out the room as a pair of his own aides began setting up the portable terminal and serviceable chair he had brought along to help direct the operations on Coruscant.
So his work began. Taking reports from his agents on the increasing destabilization of the gang lords of Coruscant he began sorting them and sending them to the appropriate parties. Important tactical and positioning reports were sent to General Zhan who was coordinating the troop movements. The Emperor however had two shared folders with the Imperial Intelligence director, one for things he needed to read at his earliest convenience, and a second one that received a copy of all intelligence that was reviewed by Piett. He doubted the Emperor did much more than skim that folder if even that but it was part of his policy on transparency with the most powerful man in the galaxy, in an attempt to avoid the mistakes of the predecessor and allow the First Order to thrive as much as possible.

After her second meeting with the Emperor had concluded, Dah'lis made her way down to the surface once more. This time she was summoned by the leader of her Order. No doubt this would be the long awaited "chewing out" that she suspected was coming. Making her way to the conference room, Vao walked in and took a seat in the middle of the table.

General Zahn still remained confident in his plans, but as one group of squabbling gang members were dealt with, reports came in of many more. Causing his forces to redeploy from battlefield to battlefield. However, as more and more fights were quelled, it became increasingly apparent that the activity was not going to calm down any time soon. With that in mind, he decided to finally radio in to the Emperor's office. A small hologram of General Zahn clad in his officer's armour would appear when the call was answered Emperor Delvardus, this is General Zahn reporting in... It appears these gang riots are increasingly becoming more out of hand sir. I would like to put in a request to deploy additional Stormtrooper Legions across the planet. If we do not contain this outbreaks quickly, Coruscant will be beyond saving...

With the capture of Coruscant, the symbol of galactic dominance will be secured. With that said, Coruscant must be revitalized for one purpose and one purpose alone... becoming the new center of the Empire. The Emperor looks away from the Moff to gaze upon the Galactic City. The Imperial Civil Services and Special Forces of the Army will do their job well. The Commissariat will have its work cut and certainly the Imperial Intelligence as well. Coruscant will be renewed in all aspects and I will personally see it done. The Emperor stops speaking to key the holodisplay on his desk which was beeping. Moments later, General Zahn appeared before him. The Emperor gives him an inquisitive look as Zahn makes a report to Nicademus.Emperor Delvardus, this is General Zahn reporting in... So the plan finally bore fruit, thought Nicademus.General Zahn, you have my authority to deploy the remaining legions to the surface. The time has come to liberate Coruscant from its shackles and deliver the people from their suffering! Make sure it is done thoroughly. The Emperor keys it off before glancing at Moff Ju'oda.Did you bring any men yourself?

"There's no doubt that the proper officers will bring an end to this age of decadence in the Imperial Center, sire"
He stayed quite when the holoprojector was lit. So, it was another of those strong men he so deeply despised, only good to measure their fleets against each other. The moff talked when adressed.
"I brought my personal legion, your Majesty"

So are you going to tell me what Piett gave you or are we waiting until everyone is here?

The moff touched the silvery comm on his chest.
"Commodore, instruct Commander Jarrus to deploy the legion, with full compliment. Per the emperor's instruction. Follow the High Command's orders to where and how to deploy the troops"
"As you wish, sire"
Replied a muffled voice from the device.
"They're a good legion, my emperor, and they know how to work well with in unison with the ISB, I instructed my commanding officers well about how to conduct this kind of operations"
Never sounded hesitant, but confident and sharp.
"Aye, your Majesty. I will try to find proper lodgings in the capital to await further instructions. You flatter me, sire, I only live to serve the empire"
And thus, serve oneself.

The Lambda-Class Shuttle Hand of the Past gently touched down in the landing bays of the Senate Building. Garrick had stood in the cockpit on the descent down, a rare thing for him, as he watched the world of Coruscant, which he had left behind all those years ago, come into view over the horizon in the rectangular viewport of the shuttle. The shuttle had made a rapid descent, weaving through the towers of Coruscant as it sped towards the planet's surface. Garrick, who had spent many years on the world, oft recognized many of the buildings, in spite of the fact that most were nowhere near where they had once been in terms of condition, due to the tolls war and time had taken upon them. Even so, however, the city was more grand then any other in the galaxy; just in a different way now. Whereas when he left it, Coruscant, rather then having the grandness that modernity offered it, instead felt grand with history and story, with each building carrying more figurative weight then most planets had.
Eventually, the shuttle came to a stop, gently settling upon the floor of the Senate Hangars, as Garrick, escorted by nine or so Death Troopers, slowly disembarked from the vessel. With the majority of his soldiers left behind to guard the shuttle, he brought two of them with him as he made his way through the senate building, inspecting what remained of the grand structure. The damage from the recent wars, although toned down due to the efforts of the various engineers and such on site, was still very much present, and nowhere was that more clear then in the Grand Convocation Chamber.
Stepping into the enormous room, he immediately noticed the fact that the Chancellor's pod was no longer elevated to the centre of the room, but instead was at the very bottom of the building. The beautiful crystal ceiling that had been installed during the reign of the Galactic Empire had been all but destroyed, with a simple metal ceiling not unlike the one found during the Republic found in its place. He sat in one of the senate pods, contemplating on the state of the building, the planet as a wholeand what sort of impact that state might have on him personally.

The buzz of the Chancellor's office was lively for several days, several days of reports involving actions against the various gangs and disturbers of the peace on Coruscant. Orders were given out, ensuring the swift and decisive action by the Stormtrooper Corps and Imperial Intelligence agents. In addition, propaganda agents infiltrated the populace, as ordinary citizens, inciting the people to cheer on their liberators and praise the Empire for its deeds. The throngs of people cheered at Stormtroopers and jeered at those who were captured, whether by force or peaceful surrender. The Galactic City was being stirred into a fervent high of Imperialism, not seen since the founding of the Old Empire, under Palpatine. Yet, the Emperor could not enjoy such joyous occasions... for there was something greatly occupying his time.======================= =Baltasar= ...who would have guessed. The voice of the Emperor's brother pierced the silence of the Chancellor's office, where Nicademus commanded. The frozen holo-image of their father, who appeared to have made this recording ten years before his death. Slowly, Nicademus reaches forward, rewinding the recording to replay it.Father had his secrets, Baltasar. Every family has its secrets.Nicademus says calmly as he replays the holorecording. This message is recorded in the event of my death. And I wish to address to my son, who I never had the chance to love and support, as I did with your brothers, Nicademus and Baltasar, and your sister, Azria. You may not be of their mother's womb, but you are still my son...The recording went on for several minutes, confirming the identity of the recipient for the fifth time that the Emperor had listened to this, founded by his father's legal persons just days ago. When the recording was paused, the name echoed through his mind, Brock Ferrum. The very same Imperial Knight who served him, since his days in the Deep Core, was the bastard son of Cyrus Delvardus and a woman with the Ferrum surname. He was a half-brother, set between Nicademus and Baltasar, in age, of the Delvardus family. Such news was quite the impact, something completely unseen and even remotely thought of. Brock must have inherited a lot from his mother that ensured such a secret was kept, unless his mother knew and even kept the secret from him and his siblings.=Baltasar= What should we do?Nicademus reaches over to key his desk's comlink. What father would want us to do, Baltasar.Wherever Brock Ferrum was located, a squad of Imperial Guard Stormtroopers, adorned in their black armor and red details, would come to him. They stated that the Emperor needed to speak with him both in person and in private. The presence of these soldiers meant something very serious had happened.

The black and red stormtroopers found the Steward of the Imperial Knights in the same conference room he had been in earlier standing with Major Helix as they coordinated the search of the underworld for the entity the locals and dubbed "The Shade". The red armored Major of Brock's stormtrooper force was an odd contrast to the guard troopers with his helmet off and his somewhat relaxed posture. Although it became far more stiff as the troopers arrived and while his hand didn't reach for the blaster on the table before him he didn't move it any further away than it already was as he patiently waited for the exchange. Standing in his white and gold armor Brock hid his feeling behind a long practiced face of calm. The emperor had always summoned him via comm in the past and the sending of the troopers didn't bode well for him. Maybe the Emperor had finally decided to execute him for past transgressions. Well he doubted that.... but he couldn't be sure.
After issuing a quick final command and turning over the coordination to the Major he followed the troopers out and through the couple corridors it took to get back to the Chancellor's office. Noticing the Emperor was not alone but with his brother Brock bowed to an almost too precise depth just enough to show respect but not enough to show full supplication. Sure if you were being escorted to a possible execution you should probably be as humble and respectful as possible... but that had never really been Brock's way. You wished to see me my lord?

There was a total silence, even as Brock Ferrum spoke. Nicademus seemed in a deep contemplation as he leans back in his chair before glancing at Baltasar. The Grand Marshal's gaze was firmly on Brock though so Nicademus decides to do the same. His hands folded together as the Emperor begins to speak.
Brock... for once, I am unsure of what to say. But, I would suggest you watch this.
The Imperial keys the holo-recording of an unfamiliar man, though familiar to the Emperor and his brother, who appeared before Brock. The recording began after a moment of silence.
This message is recorded in the event of my death. And I wish to address to my son, who I never had the chance to love and support, as I did with your brothers, Nicademus and Baltasar, and your sister, Azria. You may not be of their mother's womb, but you are still my son...
The message continued on as Cyrus Delvardus, who identified himself seconds later as, spoke of everything that transpired, leading up to Brock's conception and his birth on Eriadu. The very same Cyrus who was the father of the Emperor and Grand Marshal that stood before the Imperial Knight. The whole message was played, at full length, with the conclusion of a further apology to Brock never knowing the truth and for hiding the truth from his half-siblings as well.
Eventually, the recording ended and the once dimmed lights turned up to their natural brightness. Nicademus stares directly at Brock.
Now, you know the truth of who you are, Brock. You have your mother's surname, but you are a Delvardus also.

Brock knew something was off when he entered the chamber. The way the two men looked at him was full of too much confusion and concentration to be normal. The Emperor's lack of words raised a few more red flags of course that was nothing compared to the major alarm bells that sounded as the message played out. It took ever ounce of emotional control he had learned both with the Jedi Order and with the Imperial knights to keep his face impassive as the universe shook around him. Everything he had known was apparently a lie and he wasn't sure how to handle it, so instead he shoved the emotion aside, keeping it locked away in the back of his mind as he tried to process what just happened. His face visibly drew together into a blank slate as his posture stiffened to a rigid attention, brown eyes shifting between the two men before him, not ready to call them brothers. What does this mean? He spoke to the room itself, not directly addressing either man, or even meeting their gazes, instead facing over the desk to the skyline of Coruscant beyond.
