Similar to the Republic and the Galactic Alliance, the Coalition Senate chamber was a large spherical room in which space was allowed to have members of all member governments present when an important session was called to order

A session of the Coalition Senate was called to order one auspicious morning. The meeting had been called to order by request of Lucas Camalon, Senator of Fondor, to the Prime Minister Starmane, who headed the elective body. A proposal was made known to Marcus Starmane, ahead of time, by a delegation of Fondorian politicians, Coalition scientists, and a cadre of furry sentient Frozians. Ensuring the Prime Minister, and his cabinet, were made aware of the details, a copy of the documents were sent to other members of the Senate to ensure information was readily available and knowledge known.
This was just one of many proposals and measures to be discussed this day, yet it was one of the primary ones on the list. As the session began, discussion ensued of various measures ranging from new taxes, tariffs on goods, and such before it was Senator Camalon's turn to speak.
The older Fondorian rose from his seat and activated the hover platform upon which he, like others sat. It was similarly modeled to be like that of the Galactic Senate building back on Coruscant, which was under the thumb of the resurgent Imperialists. Taking center stage, Lucas addressed the Prime Minister and members of the Senate.
=Lucas Camalon= Members of the Coalition Senate, Your Excellency, I have brought forth a proposal that is of both great risk and potential.
His voice sounded through the chamber.
=Lucas Camalon= Froz, a member of the Corellian Sector, is one of tragic history. Her surface was scorched by the Imperials of the First Galactic Empire for supporting the Rebel Alliance and its noble cause to restore the Republic. It was once a land of fertile plains, thick forests, and bustling cities. Now, even the native Frozians cannot even live upon its surface. A tragedy that exiles a whole race for its home.
The Senator states before gesturing to the Frozian delegation that was among the members of the Coalition Senate.
=Lucas Camalon= Like her, other planets were ravaged by many events. Punishment by the Galactic Empire, scorched by the Yuuzhan Vong, tragedies of many wars, phenomena, and cataclysms that dot the galaxy's history. Time, and again, planets have been restored or, at least, their natives helped with finding a suitable world to call home once more. I believe we, as the Coalition, should give aid to the Frozians in restoring their planet to its former glory.
Camalon keys his console again, allowing Senators to view holoimages of the planet of Caamas, within the First Order territory. Pictures, taken by a stealth satellite, revealed a renewal of the planet's surface from a ravaged ecosystem to a vibrant paradise that it was before. Murmurs rose as this images were displayed, but silenced as the Senator spoke again.
=Lucas Camalon= The Jedi, under Kol Skywalker, sought restoration through the Ossus Project. The Imperials restored Caamas to its former status. Now, it is time for the Coalition to do the same. Members of the Senate, I request support on the measures listed in the documentation provided that will release funding for thorough research, technological production, and to supply the means to restore Froz.
An applause followed as the Senator fell silent, awaiting voices of approve, questions, and opposition. For this project would require a great number of funding and time in order for Froz to be rejuvenated. Camalon could only hope that the pockets of his fellow senators was not as tightly pursed.

Having listened to Senator Camalos' speech, Senator Findos was one among the people who applauded, given that the situation at Froz was directly linked to what befell her own homeworld. A fate that might still hit her homeworld. With Neimoidia being within the First Order's grasp and bordering purse worlds suffering from the Imperial protectorates, which were bestowed upon these regions the chances were likely that history might repeat itself, even if the current course of Emperor Nicademus Delvardus indicated at least that nothing like the Galactic Empire's Death Stars were produced. Or if so, no informations were currently available. No matter her greatest fears and herself telling, that she was probably paranoid, too concerned of forgetting the actual horrors committed by the First Order's military upon civilians by thinking of what might yet to come, the fate of Froz was a reminder that all worlds within the galaxy could some day face a similiar fate. Like the Neimoidians on Corellia and Osarian, the Frozians were currently exiles. Yet there was hope to change this.
As Linuy stepped forth to actually respond towards the Fondorian delegation, she waited a few moments until her request of speech was granted by the system, before her voice could be heard across the senate. Clothed in crimson robes as usual, the female Neimoidian was definitly recognizable, even from a larger distance.
"As the Senator of the Neimoidian system I welcome the proposal of the Fondorian delegation and Senator Camalon's words towards the situation of Froz, believing that financing the planet's revitalization is a mandatory task in order to restore not solely a planet to its former glory for the reasons of science, but as well for the reasons of granting refugees their native home once more. As a refugee myself, the situation at Froz reminds me of the situation of my own people. Of those who currently fight for their freedom, of those who try to get a better life, of those who were driven away from their homes, when the First Order claimed their planet. The situation at Froz is even more dire than the state of the Neimoidian systems, for the landscape is currently a hostile environment. Even worse than most of us could probably imagine. It is a difficult matter onto which some of us can relate, as they represent worlds, that were befallen by a similiar fate, may it be by the means of hostile invaders, destruction of the planet's ecosystem or worse, the destruction of an entire planet - wheras others can be lucky that their population never had to face such a crisis."
She made a brief pause, before she continiued, looking a bit nervous for a brief moment.
"With Neimoidia's gouvernment in exile, our financial funds are unfortunately not enough to support Senator Camalon's proposed funding campaign. The Neimoidian system will contribute 100,000 Credits as a symbolic gesture towards the attempts of restoring Froz to it's former glory, paid by the Senator of Neimoidia's private accounts. We do however urge other Senators, gathered within this council to donate more towards this just cause, for it means to save another world from certain death."
Linuy eventually turned back as her time to speak for the moment was over. She could imagine that some of the senators would probably see her brief speech as an attempt of promoting herself as a benevolent senator, who simply kept back her funds for others to do the dirty job. If they did though, she didn't care. Given the situation, the Partisan's attempts of liberating Cato Neimoidia were met by unexpected resistance in the form of an imperial mercenary army, employed by one of their major corporations. As long as the situation is unstable there, the Coalition was barely able to strike there without provoking the First Order directly. Although donations from the Osarian enclave kept the Senator's position within the Council and her own military forces alive, these donations were barely enough to support a major project like the planned restoration of Froz. She hoped the majority of assembled senators would understand her situation, but she had nontheless doubts. As for the moment, the situation at Froz had the main priority. Not the situation of her people.

Marcus had reviewed the proposal ahead of time when it had been provided to him by Senator Camalon and his delegation. Dr Jameroo had been consulted on the matter, being that she was the Minister for Public Health and Safety. Many of the Scientists that had been part of the delegation were respected members of the scientific community and so Marcus' only other concern was Lynne's opinion on the matter. He had, after all, placed her in charge of the Refugee Crisis the Coalition had faced in its early days. After he had received her view on the matter, he felt more comfortable with the proposed rebirth of the Ossus Project.
And so, when the day finally came he was ready. The morning business of the Senate was mostly standard fare, with various places making requests of the Coalition. As with usual Government business some matters were passed, others denied outright, and others were tabled for further discussion or review. But then the time finally came for Senator Camalon to present his proposal. Marcus sat attentively, listening to the Senator's impassioned plea. Senator Findos followed soon after, voicing her support of the motion and even offering a symbolic gesture of a personal donation to the efforts. Marcus rose from his seat then, calling the chamber to order as several voices tried to speak at once, both for and against the matter Order! I will have order in this chamber! Senator Camalon of Fondor has put forth a request to aide Froz, a member world of this Coalition. While I do not expect everyone to agree to this motion, I do expect everyone to act with dignity. As Prime Minister of the Coalition, I want it made known that I support this motion. It is our duty as a Coalition to look out for one another and prove that we stand for our values. At the end of the day, if we can't support this and restore Froz to it's once former state, then we have no business offering joint safety and protection to more worlds. With that in mind, let us begin the official vote... Computer screens in each Senator's pod would light up with the proposal to vote on displayed. A green button on the right supported the motion while a red button on the left rejected the motion

Selonia's newly-appointed Senator waited a few moments as the board started to light up with some of the more eager and emphatic voices in the Senate. As a newcomer, she didn't want to rock the boat by going first. Her people knew her and respected her, not only because she was 58 and had spent most of those years dealing skillfully with outsiders, but because she was one of the most trusted advisers to the Den-Mother of the Hunchuzuc Den. But winning respect at home, even so much that the Den Mothers had made her Head of State for all dealings within the Five Worlds, did not automatically win her respect across the coalition. She would have to earn that, and she wanted to earn it through the quality of her leadership, not simply because at 2.1 meters, she towered over many of them.
But the proposal was sound, if expensive. The Five Worlds Medical Center has been consulted on some of the humanitarian aspects, and they had informed her office back on Selonia of their assessments of the plan. So when her reddish-brown paw depressed the little green button on her console, she did so with surety that the effort was intended for the good of the Coalition, and could be adequately funded, if everyone worked together.

Unlike his counterpart from Selonia, Norghel has served in the Coalition Senate almost from when it has first been formed. There were not many Drall who wanted to interact with the political sphere on this level, and he has easily won the support of the Duchesses when Hadrig, Drall's long-time representative in the UFFW, Galatic Coalition, and Galactic Republic, has stepped down from his post. As one of the eldest being in the Senate, he had sat quietly and merely listened to the debate on the Senate floor, and formed his own stately opinions.
He was not nearly the isolationist that many Drall were, and he sympathized with the plight of the Frozians. But he also knew how his vote would be perceived back home, and he knew that the measure would pass whether he stood on principle or not. The project was framed as humanitarian and public works, but he knew better. Such plans always had a military motivation, or they did not get funded. Solemnly, he reached out a grey and black paw, and depressed the red 'No,' button on his terminal.

The newly elected representative of Corellia Mira Hassik was young for her position, but had been elected as Prime Minister of Corellia less than a month before this meeting had been called. The impersonal nature of the senate's voting still bothered her, on Corellia political figures in were forced to state their positions clearly and in their own voices rather than hide behind screens as they silently cast their ballots. While it may seem like a minor difference to some the small read headed woman had realized over time that forcing public figures to put everything in easily distributed sound bites generally lead to more accountability in the public sphere. She had not been present when the decision had been made however and so she would do her duty in the way it had been decided in the articles of Coalition. She pressed the green 'Yes' button with almost no hesitation. She knew just as well as her contemperary from Drall that there was a militarily sound reason for doing this, however that's exactly how she'd be able to justify her vote to the People of Corellia. Froz fully developed could be a powerful asset to the security of Corellia itself and so it was a sound political move, despite the financial burden it would place on the coalition as a whole and Corellia itself.
