The office during Lynne's tenure in the role of Minister of Public Health and Safety was painted and decorated white with blue accents. The walls were covered with charts and data screens depicting current, past, and future health goals for the many worlds of the Coalition. The center of the room had Lynne's desk, usually messy with data pads and papers offering updated information regarding current projects. Behind the desk was a large view port overlooking the city of Coronet. On side wall was a sofa, the location of many naps or where Lynne collapses during an all-nighter and on the other side was an examination table and an array of simple medical equipment.

It had taken time, but eventually Captain Arikari had broken the man that had been captured in Klona City, He had spilled the details of who he worked for and just what exactly they were doing on Tralus. Despite his hopes otherwise, it seemed a slavery ring had managed to take root upon the world. The scope of which was unfortunately far beyond the scope of what his forces were capable of handling right now. But there was one person he would be able to turn to that should be able to assist him...
Despite the impressive security of the government tower of the Coalition, Vaughan had not deviated from his usual fashion. His cloak billowed out behind him as he strode through the halls of the building toward the Office of the Minister for Public Health and Safety. Of all the people in the Coalition, none were more talked about than Lynne Jameroo: the war time medic turned minister and fiancee of Baron Gorgano. But more importantly, the Administrator of the Refugee Resettlement Program.
It was that last title that was the important one. For it meant that Lynne would be far more invested in lending him the aide he needed since it was the refugee's that were being affected. While many other politicians had expressed interest and concern in the matter, Lynne had been the figure head for it all.
Vaughan came to a stop in front of the office doors. Taking a moment to make some last minute adjustments to his outfit and gather his courage before he knocked upon the door with his armoured fist

The door to Lynne's office hissed open after she heard the knock. She wasn't expecting anyone, but had an 'open-door' policy (even if it wasn't always literal). Setting down the datapad and cup of caf she had been working on, she stood to greet the young man before her. A nobleman by the looks of it. She silently worried that she had forgotten an important meeting. All the same, she was quick to wave the man in and offer him a seat across her desk.
=Lynne= Please do come in. Make yourself comfortable. What can I do for you?

As the door hissed open, Vaughan gave a low bow to the beautiful, blonde haired woman that was seated behind her desk. He offered her a warm smile as he stepped through into the office. The rooms furnishings were minimal, yet practical. A sofa for rest, a medical examination area for special patients, and charts displaying a whole array of information. So far, Lynne was living up to the stories he had heard about her I apologize for the unscheduled visit Doctor Jameroo, but I had a matter I wished to discuss with you urgently... He gave another short bow before taking one of the seats opposite Lynne, brushing his cloak aside to make room for him to be seated But where are my manners... Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Vaughan Emrys. Former Senator of the Galactic Alliance, and now a lobbyist within the Corellian Coalition. And I assure you, I'm not here to try and buy your vote on anything Doctor... I wish to bring to your attention something far more dire and concerning... He produced a small holoprojector from his cloak and placed it on the table. Images of several missing men and women reports from Klona City on Tralus showed up These are missing persons reports from the last month... And I fear they are all related...

=Lynne= Oh? Yes! I had heard of these reports of a higher than average missing persons. The authorities hadn't been able to find anything pointing to where they had gone, let alone that these were connected. I assume you have some proof of this, Mr. Emrys
Lynne studied the man carefully. He certainly was dressed the part of former senator turned lobbyist. And it was always good to see other former Galactic Alliance members make their way to the Coalition. She shifted around through the piles of papers and datapads on her desk, careful to not knock over her cup of caf. She then found the report she had mentioned before. Lynne was inclined to believe him, it was odd that so many go missing, and wasn't out of the realm of possibility that something or someone was attempting to take advantage of the refugees in some way or other. The doctor sipped on her caf as she waited for the man to continue his presentation.

It was some relief, even as small as it was, to hear that Lynne was quite aware of the disappearances and the authorities leads so far. He suspected she had access to much the same files as he had, when starting this endeavor of his. He reached forward and tapped the projector, causing a map of Klona City to appear. Several different colored markers were overlaid on the map, with paths leading toward them. For the most part, several paths shared the same origin point, while others had intersecting paths. But all of them seemed to end in areas that had low traffic, low visibility, and low police presence Upon learning of a number of these disappearances, I started digging into the locations they had gone missing from, the locations they had started that night, and, with some help, the likely paths they had gone. Information I am sure the authorities would have gotten to in time. But as you pointed out, they did not view the cases as connected. Meaning that each disappearance has been viewed as a separate case. After all, people go missing all the time. There was no reason to suspect they were related... Not unless you are familiar with the telltale signs of a slavery ring. Many of the people that had disappeared originated in one club or another throughout the city. They were all abducted in areas that were secluded and away from prying eyes... They were hunted... Vaughan leaned forward again and touched a control on the projector. Causing it to switch from the city view, to show the mug shot of the Zabrak male he had taken into custody Recognizing what was going on, I looked for any patterns I could find, and any Intel that I could gather. After all, I knew if I came here with little more than a theory about a slavery ring, even you would dismiss the idea as fanciful. So I waited, and built a network of contacts in the most prominent bars within Klona City. Last week, one of those contacts paid off. He let me know that a pair of guys he'd seen around a lot lately and had often been seen leaving with women had shown up that night. So, I decided to investigate... As expected, when a pair of women left the club, the two men followed soon after. So naturally, I followed them. I bided my time, and waited to see what would happen. Sure enough, the pair tried to attack and abduct the women. Fortunately, I was able to stop the attack and took one of them into custody... An act for which I will have to ask your apology for. However, Captain Arikari was able to gain a great deal of insight into the suspected operation... Once more, he pressed a control on the holoprojector, and this time the map of Klona City reappeared with a spot on the edge of the city being highlighted, meanwhile a list of names popped up across the city at a number of spots Much of the information I have is... uncorroborated at best. Especially considering that some of the people implicated are members of local law enforcement for Klona City. Something I was hoping to gather further information on, before making any formal accusations. which is why I have come to you, Doctor Jameroo... I was hoping to elicit your help and oversight on an operation to infiltrate the suspected hideout of this gang. While I do not wish to implicate local authorities, this is a rather delicate matter... As I am sure you can understand...

Lynne listened to what the man had to say, much of it was troubling. She kept her caf cup up to her lips, merely needing to tip it back to have a drink, but also helping to hide and control her facial expressions. The woman didn't like showing how she felt, until all the information was presented. After he finished speaking their were several moments of silence as Lynne considered everything that had just been said. It was bold of this man to openly admit to taking vigilante action in one of the cities she was responsible for overseeing. However with most of the resettlement done, her over site was limited at best in Klona City. But her name still carried weight among the population, as much as she wished they didn't, they idolized her for the work she had done. But now, it seemed some new trouble was brewing. And if it was indeed being aided by some corrupt officials, this needed her attention. Her eyes narrowed as she sat down her caf-less mug.
=Lynne= We will discus your abduction of a citizen of the Coalition and your vigilante actions after this investigation is concluded. But until then, what can I do to help.

Vaughan studied Lynne's reaction when he finished speaking. Her cup of caf proved an effective tool in hiding her reaction to everything he said in the moment. But it proved useless in covering up the silence that followed when he finished speaking. He had unloaded a great deal of information onto her and so it was no real surprise she needed a moment of two to process it. The real concern for Vaughan, was just how well she would receive it all. Although he had provided a somewhat solid theory regarding the existence of a slavery operation in Klona City, he had also admitted to abducting someone and conducting a vigilante operation. Things which could land him into a great deal of trouble and that Lynne would be well within her right to have him arrested for.
He let out a sigh of relief when she finally spoke. Making it clear that his actions would be discussed at a later time, but agreeing to lend her help to this investigation. He leaned forward and worked the controls of the holoprojector. Causing it to bring up an infiltration plan for the suspected hideout. Vaughan then produced a datachip from one of his pockets and placed it upon Lynne's desk, pushing it toward her By all means Dr Jameroo, I would expect nothing less. Which is why this datachip contains a copy of all the files pertaining to everyone in my employ that has been involved in this operation, the surveillance of the various nightclubs, and a copy of the interrogation of the Zabrak that was apprehended. Nothing would please me more, than to know that I was wrong, in which case I will gladly repay what ever debt I owe... As for how you can help. I currently have a little over two dozen trained operatives in my employ. Each of them has served with the Galactic Alliance armed forces, the Corellian Security Force, or the Federation of the Double Worlds special forces. They are highly train individuals, but for an operation such as this there are not enough of them. As such, I humbly request some of your own forces to join us. Weapons will be set to stun so as to keep casualties to a minimum and provide informants that can either corroborate or deny the information we already have. Having a rapid response medical unit will also prove valuable for attending to any wounded forces, and any of the missing people if they are being held in this location before being taken off world to be sold as slaves... Vaughan was truly earnest in his hope that by the end of all this, they would find no such slavery operation in existence. He would gladly take a few months or years of imprisonment if the disappearances were indeed unrelated to one another The sooner we act, the greater our chance of success will be. I have no doubt that a week of absence will go unnoticed by my captives associates, no matter how low ranking he may be... I also understand the necessity of planning and preparation you may need to conduct with your own forces. As such, I would like to recommend that we commence this operation in two days time. Time is unfortunately not our ally in this situation...

Lynne leans over and checks one of her data pads, two days? It would take her at least that long to clear her schedule, and maybe get her team together. But people were going missing, and meetings would have to wait. For now, this man seemed trustworthy, and he had good information. But for now she'd go with this. Plus it would get her out of the office, and into some real action again. But on the other hand, by doing this, she was in a way condoning vigilantism, something she did not wish to do and would likely get her a sever reprimand, if not lose her position. But on the other hand, she had endeared herself to the population and some of the politicians (some more so than others). So perhaps she would be spared too harsh a punishment.
All these thoughts raced through her head as she hastily typed and keyed new dates for meetings into her datapads and sent apologies for delays. She thought she was doing a good job hiding her relative apprehension, though some of it no doubt shown through for her guest to read. But soon, she looked back up, and with a confident nod agreed.
=Lynne= Two days? That's plenty of time. Shall we meet here on Corellia, or wait till we get to the city?

Despite her best efforts, Vaughan was indeed able to read the apprehension that showed in her expression. He would have a lot of work to do after this mission was done to smooth things over. He had taken a risk by acting with his personal forces to track this criminal gang down. He just hoped that in the long run, the gamble would pay off. He smiled pleasantly at Lynne in an attempt to help calm her nerves further. The confidence in her nod was at least reassuring I have a residence within Klona City that I am operating out of at present, so it would probably be ideal to meet there... He reached into his cloak then and produced a red rose, which he placed upon Lynne's desk A token of my appreciation Dr Jameroo... I suspect you have much more work to do and I would hate to hold you up any further today...

Lynne was slightly surprised by the gesture, she reached out and picked the rose up and examined it for a moment. It was lovely.
Yes... Yes, I'll meet you their. I'll probably be bringing a few of my own people too. Doctors and the like.

Of course, I suspect their services will be needed when this is all over... It saddened him to make such an admission, but it was an unfortunate truth of all of this. Even if they did manage to stun everyone, those that had been taken as slaves would undoubtedly be in a bad shape. Slavers such as these tended to not be gentle with those they abducted. They would starve, beat, and - in some cases - torture people into submission. Vaughan pulled himself back from such thoughts as he rose from the seat I shall see you then Dr Jameroo. Good luck... He offered her as reassuring a smile as he could then, before turning and taking his leave of her office so that he could head back to Tralus and begin making his own preparations
