Designed and built by The Organization, the Minuteman-Class Orbital Platform serves as both a Research & Development platform for all major projects and operations, as well as living quarters for much of The Organization's R&D staff. Protected by sensor masks, jamming devices, powerful deflector shields and a reinforced hull, the station was also armed with 24 turbolaser cannons, 16 point defense cannons and 4 quad laser batteries. Housing a four squadrons of starfighters (48), most of the larger vessels within the Organization navy was capable of docking with the station. Housing 380 R&D staff, 80 crew and 100 soldiers, the station was entirely self sufficient, not requiring any sort of resupply from outside sources.
