Description:
As part of the Coalitions continued efforts to update and expand its navy, the Santhe Shipyards division of Corellian Engineering Corporation undertook an effort to design a Coalition Refit of the Raider-class Corvette. As part of these efforts, the new Refit was provided a new, sleeker armor design that was slightly sturdier than it's Imperial counter part, while also giving it improved Mon Calamari style shielding systems similar to the other vessels produced by the Coalition. The main large primary engine and the two vastly smaller auxiliary engines were also swapped out for 10 main engine units to provide a small boost in speed despite the additional armor.
In terms of armament, the Raider-class featured 8 Heavy Dual Laser Cannons, 6 Turbolaser Cannons, 4 Ion Cannons, 4 Cluster Missile Launchers, and a Mass Driver Cannon that fired from the prow of the ship. It could support up to 4 starfighters and a small force of 30 soldiers.
