Description:
The presence of the resurgent Empire, and its Imperial Navy, saw the introduction of new warships and starfighters. Some of which are new models entire, while others are the continuations of other warship lines. The Victory-class series has proven to be a popular choice among the various Admirals and fleets of the Navy due to its firepower and versatility. As a result of its popularity, the Imperial Military Research, alongside Rendili StarDrive and Kuat Drive Yards, conceived the Victory III-class Star Destroyer.
Keeping with the size of the previous Victorys I and II, the third model of this line is improved the firepower with the presence of more turbolaser batteries, additional ion cannons, and the inclusion of proton torpedo tubes. Its starfighter capacity has increased by a full squadron, compared to the previous Victory II. This has served to heighten the capabilities of the lastest model within the Victory series compared to its predecessors. Due to some arrangements between the two shipwrights, and the resurgent Empire, the new Victory III-class was made available for public production and purchase.
In comparison with its predecessors, the Victory III has an arsenal of 12 heavy turbolaser batteries, 30 medium turbolaser batteries, 26 ion cannons, 12 proton torpedo tubes, and 8 tractor beam projectors. Its hangar bays can carry 36 starfighters and can carry up to 2,000 troops for land operations.
