The Chambers of The Fallen - despite its name - was not some grand space filled with gold and spectacle. It was a large square room, with a raised circular platform in the middle that had stairs leading up to a bed that sat atop it. Its walls were a black stone with runes carved into them, while tapestries of blue and red hung from the roof. Several light sources hung from the roof and worked in unison with a number of lamps that were placed around the room to fill the space with light. Four blue carpets lead out from the central bed platform.
A number of couches were laid out across the room, while a pair of banners were placed up next to the bed bearing the sigil of the Dark Jedi Order. Aside from these handful of items, the room was seemingly devoid of any other furniture. A space off to the left of the central bed chamber was dedicated to a personal refresher room. Off to the right was Ifit's personal study and library

Eris made her way alone to towards the Chambers of The Fallen. Her observations of The Fallen Empress done for the day. Now she would deliver her report to him, no matter how much he might dislike the information she had for him. The voices within her mind chattered away, worried for the well-being of their Queen as she approached his Chambers. She came to a stop before the mighty stone doors. Taking a moment to catch her breath before pushing the doors open. She strode forth along the blue carpet and came to a stop a few feet inside. The thousand and one voices inside her head falling silent as she settled her gaze upon Lord Ifrit and The Harbingers My Lord! A moment if you please... alone. Eris directed that last comment directly toward the four women that surrounded Ifrit. Knowing that even if she was no longer officially their Master, The Harbingers still held respect for her

Ifrit's massive demonic form still towered over those of the four Harbingers as they surrounded him. He turned around and the sound of metal on metal rang out as his WarGlaives clashed with those of Azaia's. He pushed back against her then, as Fayela's pair of long blades came slicing through the air. His blades once more filling the air where his body would have been. Just as Lorei and Melya were about to strike, the doors to his chambers were pushed open by Lady Eris. Bringing Ifrit to a stop as he straightened up as she requested a meeting. He felt the eyes of the Harbingers turn to him before he gave a nod of his head Training is over, you're dismissed for the day...

Azaia and Fayela pulled their attacks and spun toward the direction of the doors in a defensive guard, as Melya and Lorei were almost caught off guard. A pair of magical shields going up as they turned their offensive magic spells into defensive chants. They all relaxed their guards when they saw Lady Eris stride into the room, requesting a meeting alone with The Fallen. Their attention turning to him then before he dismissed them. They gave a bow to Ifrit, before filing out of the room, each of them offering a bow to Lady Eris as they passed her

Eris watched and waited for the four women to file out of the room past her. She gave a nod of her head to each one as they bowed to her. It wasn't until they had left and the giant doors closed over that she started moving across the room closer to Ifrit. She was all too aware of how careful she would have to tread here. But she also knew that hiding the truth from him would do more harm then good I have finished my initial observation of the Fallen Empress... She came to a stop closer to Ifrit, placing her hands on her hips and letting out a sigh I want you to remember that I was against this plan from the start...

Ifrit moved over to the weapon rack on the far right side of the room and placed his WarGlaives down as The Harbingers filed their way out of the room. Leaving him empty handed and patting himself down with a towel when he and Eris were finally alone. He walked over closer to her as she started speaking and then came to a stop. No matter how far she came, no matter how much she changed. She still had some telltale signs that he could easily pick up on. She was stalling, and he could easily see it Your objections were noted... Now out with it! What is your report...

Eris let out another sigh of defeat as Ifrit remained intent upon this course of conversation and having it out with. She leveled her gaze with his green glowing eyes, making it pointedly clear where she was looking. For someone who seemed to be able to see so much, sometimes he seemed to see nothing at all. At the end of the day, he was still The Fallen, and she ultimately owed loyalty to him, no matter what he commanded She is not incapable of the task you have set before her... In fact, I've yet to undertake any teaching of her. I merely stood in observation as she tasked Templar Dooku with rooting out a spy within the Order... A task she performed quite admirably at without drawing a blade or creating a divide... She lifted her hand up and held her palm upward toward the roof But that's about where the good news ends... Her distaste for the whole charade was evident from the moment I visited her chambers... Eris took a breath and let out a sigh She's not ready Ifrit... sorry... Fallen... The Empress does not want this... She stands with you because you asked, but she is not like you... You know better than anyone what she is and what she is capable of. She is quite possibly the deadliest woman alive in the galaxy... You can't sit her on a throne and expect her to like it... Nor can you try mask your attempts and concerns for her well being behind some farcical prelude about manners training... She leaned her head forward slightly, bringing her hand up to rest her forehead against her fingertips. By this point, she had started to work her nerves up to speak a bit more freely about this matter You have to speak to her... plainly... And you have to be ready to hear what she has to say... In fact, both of you need to be ready... You can't just force her to be an Empress. Even you should be able to see that...

If Eris had been expecting a look of concern or disappointment to mar his features, she was destined to be very disappointed. His expression remained unchanged, retaining a neutral interest as she delivered her report. He had spent long enough with Mariah to know well enough how this report was about to go down. The only thing that almost caught him off guard as Eris' opening mention that Mariah had tasked Templar Dooku with rooting out a spy. She had spoken to him on a number of occasions about her concern that someone had infiltrated the Orders ranks. To what purpose, he could only speculate since Mariah tended to be vague at times with details. There were any number of enemies that sought to bring himself and Mariah down, or that might seek to manipulate the Dark Jedi Order to their own ends.
What ever the case may be, he masked any reaction to the news. He had not made the search a task she had to undertake. It was something Mariah was doing of her own accord. While she might not give off the impression that she enjoyed sitting the throne as Empress, her actions spoke louder than her words. She cared about the Order and sought to root out any traitors and spies.
Ifrit crossed his arms over his chest then, waiting until Eris stopped speaking before offering a smile, something he suspected might bewilder her after all that she had said You think me defeated, don't you Eris? That my plan is failing, or has failed. I see it and hear it... And yet, I remain unconvinced... Ifrit moved across the room then, dropping the towel into a basket of items destined for cleaning, as he headed to a small table. He poured out a glass of water and drank the crystalline fluid before setting the glass down once more You are correct, I do know the Empress quite well... Perhaps not as well as I would like, but well enough... All this, she never wanted it. She told me from the day I first proposed it all. She thought I was a fool and that this would not succeed... Yet here we stand. Do you want to know why? Because I did not give up on her. She may claim to be my Blade, but I am her Spellbinder. The weaver of blades... She does as she wishes, not as I command. Without her, none of this would be possible... or necessary... The last part he barely uttered under his breath. He knew why he had decided to found the Dark Jedi Order, and it was a secret he would keep with himself. Mariah might have claimed that her people's artifacts were a matter for her alone to deal with, But she was wrong I did not order her to look for a spy, Mariah did that of her own accord. She found someone to trust, and tasked them with ridding the Order of this traitor... She is the Fallen Empress, and she is acting as I expect someone of that title to act. Yes, she lacks some diplomatic charm to not get us into a war... But yet, she found someone who does... Someone to find a spy... And you... you are the most important part... You say I cannot mask my attempts and concerns behind a prelude like manners training. And yet... I managed to get you to talk to her, to spend time with her... No, my dear Lady Eris... My plan has not failed, it has succeeded... He flashed her a smirk then as he poured another glass of water, which he promptly drank However, I will take your advice and speak with her...

She lifted her gaze as Ifrit spoke, crossing her arms beneath her chest while she listened. The Fallen seeming to deconstruct and answer her every charge at him, as if he was prepared for this discussion. And as the man continued to talk and explain, it became more and more clear to her that he had been prepared for this. The man might not be able to see the future, but he certainly seemed to prepare for the most obvious outcomes of his own actions. She listened as he spoke of knowing Mariah well, of how she had never wanted any of this.
While her initial encounters with Mariah in those days had been brief, Eris could definitely believe that the Fallen Empress had doubted the success of the Dark Jedi Order. It was not in the woman's nature to lead something such as this. Yet Mariah, by her own admission, had said yes because Ifrit had asked her. A decision that Eris suspected the Empress still struggled with understanding the meaning of.
She raised an eyebrow as Ifrit continued to explain things, pointing out that Mariah was doing what he expected of her. That she found people useful to her and that she could trust to handle the things she could not. She scoffed at him when at last he revealed that his plan had not failed. That, in fact, his plan had been something else entirely different. She was as much a target of this plan of Ifrit's as Mariah was You used me... Played me for a fool... You don't care if I fail or succeed at teaching her lessons, so long as I spend time with her...Why did you lie to me? How can I be sure you're not lying to me right now?!

It had been many months since he had last set hoof within these halls of the Temple. He had previously left for Sullust with the intention of clearing out the remaining equipment and gear left there and fully moving the Dark Jedi Order onto Ambria. But then things had taken a turn. He handed leadership of the DJO over to Mariah, the Empress finally shouldering the mantle of leadership. He had watched from afar as the Order grew and the Fallen Empress completed her quest. But then, without a word, she had disappeared. In her absence, Ifrit had returned to fill the void and strengthen the foundations of the Dark Jedi once again.
He could focus the Order upon a singular objective now. They would be free of the Sith influence that had lingered over them previously. They would be free to cull fanatics of the Sith and Jedi philosophies, and arise as the true balancing force within the Galaxy

With her duties for the day done, Zaya pushed open the doors to her chambers. While she was the Fallen Empress, she had sealed off her predecessors chambers and had chosen to take residence in her former Masters chambers. The dual leadership of the Dark Jedi was gone, and she much preferred the simplistic style and set up of these compared to the more apartment style complex that Mariah had lived in. Eventually she planned to tear the space apart and renovate it for re-use by someone else, but for now the space would remain locked.
She ascended the stairs up to the bed, discarding her clothing as she went before finally coming to rest upon the raised platform and dropping down into the comfort of the bed. She slid her saber hilt beneath her pillow as she settled in for some rest. There was work ahead to be done, plans to see through to fruition, enemies to strike down, and other associated matters. But for the moment, she would rest up and recover her strength for those battles ahead
