Description:
The Mandator IV-class Storm Dreadnought, also known Mandator Storm or Storm Dreadnought for short, is a variation from the Siege Dreadnought, created by the First Order. Although the original model is well equipped for siege roles, it is a rather ineffective vessel. While capable for planetary operations, the autocannon is not always reliable when targeting moving enemy vessels and its lack of point defense laser cannons, compared to other warships of its size, make it a great certainty that it relies heavily on escorts to help do its job. As a result, First Order shipwrights created the Storm Dreadnought, an alteration to the original Mandator IV.

Removing the underbelly autocannon ensured that the Storm Dreadnought could sport greater weaponry, stronger shielding, and an advanced targeting system to help it plow through the battle lines in any engagement. It also sports a reinforce prow, allowing the vessel to ram smaller ships without damaging its structure, similar to the older Eclipse-class Star Dreadnought. This new role, of a frontline star cruiser, is still a double role for its ability to conduction planetary invasions and be the command vessel for fleets.

With these upgrades, the Storm Dreadnought has an armament of 50 quad heavy turbolaser batteries, 40 twin medium turbolaser batteries, 25 twin ion cannons, 20 proton torpedo tubes, and 10 heavy tractor beam projectors. The vessel can carry 10,000 soldiers for planetary campaigns and has a complement of 144 starfighters for space and planetary engagements.
