Description:
The Gallant-class Escort Cruiser, alongside its sister, the Chevalier-class Destroyer, were the main vessels, utilized by the local fleets of the Great Houses of Serenno. Compared to the more offensive Chevalier, the Gallant-class serves more of an escort and light carrier role within these small flotillas. Though of a similar appearance, the Gallant-class is without the forward deck cannon that is featured on the other Serenno cruiser. Instead, its makes up in other ways, mainly an advanced targeting system.
Even without the deck cannon, the Gallant-class is still a formidable ship. Its weaponry is composed of 20 twin turbolaser turrets, 30 turbolaser cannons, 10 missile tubes (able to fire up to a hundred proton torpedoes), 10 ion cannons, and 4 tractor beams. It could carry a maximum of 36 starfighters and 2,000 troops into battle.
